These were germinated in paper towel as per crop kings seed instructions.
One they had a decent tap root, I transferred them into little seed starters in a soil mix.
This week we transplanted the little ones; they all had awesome root bases.
So far these have grown vigorously, and taken well to the Gia green.
At the end of this week I topped the plants, a few days after transplant.
Didn’t gain height this week only because I started low stress training.
I also repotted them; I was surprised at how root bound they were after two weeks.
I changed the coco soil ratio; adding a 50/50 mix of fox farms happy frog, and ocean forest; mixed with a 60/40 of worm castings and coco.
Hopefully they will continue to thrive and grow well.
This week I saw an explosion of growth; all four plants seem to be very vigorous and really drinking well.
It been about 8 days since I repotted these plants and I am starting to see small capillary roots at the drain holes.
I have taken off a few of the largest leaves to maximize light in the canopy, and any of the lowest nodes that look a little shrimpy I culled.
Can’t wait for the weather to warm up so they can go outside 💚
These ladies are really starting to stretch their limbs.
I have reduced the indoor light to 17.5 hours and will continue to reduce the light 1/2 hour every ten days to match the 16 hour day on June 20th when I have scheduled to put them outside for good.
On warm days here I try to get them outside in the sunlight as much as possible.
They are busy and beautiful.
This week I saw a pretty large gain in vegetation.
At the moment I am unable to train the branches outward because I am out of space indoors, we are just under a month out from putting them outside for good; they have grown about 8.5 inches in height.
I top dressed the medium with a 70/30 mix of Gaia greens all purpose 4-4-4 and power bloom 2-8-4 and continue to water with ancient earth every watering.
It doesn’t seem to be in need of any cal mag so I have left it out of the watering schedule this week.
I will continue time the light down every ten days by half hour to match the 16 hour day it will be when I bring them outside.
So far I am very impressed by these ladies
Moving along smoothly this week; I top dressed with Gaia green additives last week, and I continue to water with ancient earth each watering, each plant is drinking a lot!
These plants are hardy, strong and eager to please.
At this point I would say that each plant has shown its individuality and its personality; all of them are pretty chill, kind of like the household they were raised in 💜
Happy happy plants; we are fast running out of indoor space for them, so as ever we are counting down the days till the summer solstice so that we can repot these babies into 10 gallon pots and leave them outside for the summer.
Little beauties.
This week I amended the soil with some Gaia green products, and continued to water with advanced nutrients ancient earth.
We had some really hot days in the middle of the week and two of my plants saw some bad drought stress, but recovered quickly and seem to be back on the right track.
We repotted the plants at the end of the week from 3 gallon pots to 10 gallon pots; they seem very happy to have a little more leg room.
They smell fresh and sharp; and are bushing out beautifully.
This week we watered with ancient earth and some molasses for the soil critters.
We defoliate a bit, and trimmed off the “unviables” from around the base of the plant.
At this point these ladies commend a presence, and are not so patiently waiting to live outside.
Very soon my loves; very soon.
At the end of this week we got to put these ladies outside to finish out the summer; finally!
They have made a large jump in height; but we low stress trained them all down, now that they have ample space to do so.
I had an accident with one of the plants while LST and ripped the main trunk a little bit at the topped knot, we repaired the rip with para film immediately; she seems to be recovering well, barely skipped a beat so far.
We continued to water with ancient earth every watering, and I gave them a foliar spray of gaia green soluble seaweed extract the morning after their first night outside.
They are acclimating well to their new permanent outdoor home. ☀️
This week we have had record breaking heat; and are experiencing a prolonged heat wave, today was 41 degrees C and tomorrow will be as hot as 43.
I have made sure to water them and the surrounding gardens every night liberally; and give them some foliar squirts of seaweed extract to minimize drought stress.
Overall they have done quite well in the extreme weather conditions we have had to suffer through in the last week.
I discovered a really interesting mutation on one of my plants just this week; it looks pretty cool and I am excited to see how that develops
This week we got slightly cooler weather than last week; high 20s, which is still unseasonably warm for my area, but the plants seem to be doing very well.
This week we have seen them jump in height a few inches, and they seem to be very thirsty, drinking in average about 5 litres or more a day.
I gave them a top up on some nutrients; some bud ignitor, and a 50/50 mix of power bloom and all purpose to help facilitate the change between veg and flower, amongst a few other potions and tinctures 🔮
Right on schedule for a mid September harvest 🍁
This week we have seen some significant growth. The smell of these plants have changed, they are starting to look bushier and more full.
They have become very thirsty plants needing at least 6 litres of water daily, but seem to do well with 8 litres.
I continued to give them some help with bud ignitor nutrients and some rhino skin to keep the stocks strong, I anticipate we will need those stocks to hold up to some weight in the coming weeks 🌺
We had a nice jump in height this week; still drinking loads of water every day.
One of the plants has this wierd mutated limb that I have been watching progress, kinda interesting.
Just chugging along, second week of flower, everything looks to be on schedule so far.
🔮
They have jumped again in height quite a bit this week; they are big plants to say the least.
Each plant is approximately 5 ft (60inches) tall (2 are a little taller than that) and they are all about 4 ft (48inches) wide.
They drink like horses do!
I didn’t expect these plants to fill out their 10 gallon pots so quickly, but they are pretty well root bound.
All in all these ladies are doing pretty well; this week I gave them a 70/30 mix of Gaia greens all purpose and power bloom, amongst a few other Gaia green products to boost phosphate and potassium, and continue to supplement with advanced nutrients additives once a week.
I defoliated this week; and actually got quite violent with them to try to allow some more light to penetrate the canopy; you wouldn’t even know it 😑
Slowly they are changing their growth patterns; we are also loosing daylight in my hemisphere at the rate of about 2.5 minutes a day, hopefully that helps continue to ease them comfortably into flower 🌺
Another big jump in height this week; we are starting to lose sunlight here by about three minutes a day now.
I heavily defoliated these plants at the end of this week, and took off any “unviables”.
I also topdressed with some extra bloom nutes and some new soil to help keep some moisture in.
As of the date of this post, we are just coming out of a heat warning, and it’s been 47 days without measurable rain in my area, we are also seeing pollution from forest fires northeast of us in our province.
It’s hot; it’s dry, and now, we have this eerie light that I call “the fire sun”
Luckily the goils seem to be thriving as best they can in the midst of it all.
☀️ 🔥
This week we have another big jump in height; they are taller than myself.
I gave them more bloom nutrients this week and the daylight is waining fast now.
We finally got a considerable amount of rain in my area, that was nice and refreshing for all of us including the plants.
I hope that as the light continues to drop off significantly and the nights start to get cool, we will start to see some buds 😎🌱
This week we had another heat wave; temperatures at a high of 37 degrees.
I now look up to them, there huge.
They have a sweet and peppery aroma, and at this point they are big enough to be intimidating and commend a presence 👹
They are over 6 foot from the ground; and about 5.5 ft wide.
These ladies are looking fierce, big and bodacious.
The weather has really taken a turn in the last week, it has cooled down; and we have finally seen some significant rain over the last few days.
These giants seems to be jumping into flowering in earnest; finally!
As ever they have grown taller and wider, these beauties have become impressive giants!
These are doing awesome!
We have had a little bit of a change in the weather in the last week, the nights have gotten nice and cool, and the days are still quite warm.
We have also had a few showers this week which they seem to have loved.
We are at about 13.5 hours of sunlight a day, and cute little buds are forming quickly.
These smell peppery, sharp and sweet.
One of these babes has reached 7 ft from the ground; the others are between 6.5 and 7 ft aswell.
We heavily defoliated these giants today.
These ladies continue to impress me as we move slowly toward the autumn equinox; and into the harvest season 🌾
This week we got a greenhouse!
10x10 and these four barely fit 😆
No worries for the end of season rains 💜
Buds are developing beautifully and blushing this beautiful pink colouration early on.
They are starting to smell amazing, the dank and peppery notes are getting strong.
These beauties are progressing well. 🔮
Packing on the weight.
We had some decent rain this week, thank goodness for some cover from that.
We have added the dehumidifier this week, to continue to keep the humidity at a Nominal level.
These continue thrive, develop their pinky blush, and grow fat and happy. 🔮💜
This week we added a fan and a heater to the tent to assist in keeping the environment comfortable.
Got some really heavy rain this week, our coldest morning as a low of 6 degrees, with frost in the low areas.
These continue to gain weight and colour. 💜
This week I doubled up on dehumidifiers, the buds are getting sticky and dense.
I had to cut off a few that were starting to mould.
We did a large defoliation this week to keep optimal airflow.
These plants smell incredible.
The end is nigh; I’m trying for two or three more weeks with these puppies.
Wish me luck; pray to the harvest gods 🌾
Getting heavy, smelling amazing, slowly starting to mature.
I feel like I’ve been raising these beauties FOREVER!
These buds are dense, and sticky AF!
I hope they continue to bulk it out over the next few weeks 👹
This week I started the flush; I’m hoping it won’t take more than two weeks to stave them out a bit.
Next week I will give them some flawless finish and give them a final flushing before harvest 🌾
It’s starting to get cold here at night; almost frosty this morning.
Buds are pungent and beautiful, they have awesome colour and are very sparkly ✨
Can’t wait to finally harvest these puppies
It’s finally flawless finish time!
I spent the last week and a half watering and flushing with fresh water, this week we treat them with flawless finish.
Saturday we harvest!
What can a say; it’s been a ride!
Seven months of love, hard work and just being a good shepherd to these ladies.
These giants were an incredible experience, they taught me a lot!
What separates the good from the great is the ability to persevere, to be dedicated to a vocation morning noon and night, on top of the work we do for money.
There were days that I was dead beat from working in the hot sun, it was a very hot summer here where I live; still I dug deep and loved these plants each and every day, and at the end it showed, and payed off completely for my efforts.
It’s a bittersweet moment to harvest these illustrious and incredible plants; I sought so much therapy, purpose and love in these beautiful beings that I nurtured, they are a physical representation of my love and care, and they are beautiful beyond words; I see the product of my love manifest itself physically in these beauties.
They couldn’t have made me more proud; this was a monumental grow, the kind of grow that shows you what your made of, and then blows that precedent away.
I am honoured to call this crop my own 🔮💜
