May 11 (Day 22): Afghani Kush still has some damage on the leaves that were tied up in the ponytail, I don’t think it really had the desired effect. I will tie it down and begin bending today. Blueberry is still very small, its growing slowly and still looking healthy though so I’m still hopeful that she’ll catch up at some point.
May 13 (Day 24): Afghani Kush is starting to show improved growth in its lower branches after having its lead node tied down. Blueberry is still so small and slow growing and I am beginning to see some slight yellowing on the edge of the lower leaves.
May 15 (Day 26): Watered just the Blueberry with 1 cup of 6.4pH plain water to keep the top layer of soil moist until both plants need a full feed, the surface soil dries out too quickly due to the fan being pointed directly at it.
May 16 (Day 27): Really exciting to see signs of flowers already, that has seemed really fast. I’m pleased with where the Afghani Kush is currently at, hopefully by training it well during the stretch I’ll be able to get more of a canopy developed before it fully flowers. Blueberry is not looking too good and if she’s showing signs of flower already, then my hopes of her catching up seem to be slipping away. Hopefully she makes enough for a joint...
May 17 (Day 28): I swapped the plants tent position as I was worried the browning on the Blueberry might be slight wind burn from the fan, I really am just guessing at this point though. Afghani Kush is growing really nicely though and is looking like it will develop really nicely through the stretch as long as keep on top of tying down lead shoots. I top dressed with Bluesky Organics Organic Reactor (1 scoop for Blueberry, 3 for Afghani Kush) and watered with 2l of 6.6pH water with 2.5ml of Botanicare Pure Blend Tea.
Looking good and progressing very nicely !! Good luck !
