May 18 (Day 29): Blueberry was looking really healthy and happy after the super cropping so I decided to do it a little more but over did it and snapped the main stem. I’ve used a tie to hold it in place and am hoping for the best, this little girl really can’t afford to lose her top. Afghani Kush is coming along nicely, I’m tying down lead shoots most days at the moment.
May 19 (Day 30): Blueberry is looking surprisingly happy after yesterday’s incident, I’m hoping that main stem has managed to reattach itself and I’ve got away with some accidental HST. I defoliated some lower foliage from the Afghani Kush that was touching the ground or receiving no light. It’s starting to shape up really nicely now though and I’m excited to start to see how far I can get her before flowering starts properly.
May 21 (Day 32): Blueberry has recovered with only some minor scarring from the snap, I'm sure the stress will affect her already tiny yield. Afghani Kush is still looking healthy and developing well.
May 22 (Day 33): Blueberry is starting to show some signs of deficiency on its upper leaves, yellowing on the very edges and some browning necrosis on the very tips of some leaves. It looks almost identical to the issues shown in the first couple weeks of growth that went away for a while. I did some defoliation to allow more light to the lower branches. Afghani seems to be done with any major growth now so I untied its branches to allow it to stretch out and will defoliate some upper growth soon to allow light and airflow into the bud sites.
May 23 (Day 34): Top dressed with Organic Reactor from Bluesky Organics, 1 scoop for Blueberry and 3 scoops for Afghani Kush and watered them with 1.5l of 6.7pH water with 0.3g of Flower Two from Bluesky Organics.
Looking good and progressing very nicely !! Good luck !
