To germinate I find that it works best for me to soak the seeds first in a little RO water mixed with Hydrogen Peroxide overnight and then put them in between moist paper towels in a Tupperware container. I place the container in a kitchen cabinet and wait for them to crack open. In this case the whole process took just 2 days or within a 48 hour period. Companion growing with basil.
So far this has been a good week nothing major to report had a little stretching problem on Phenos 1, 2 and 4 , but I think burying the stem a little fixed that issue. This grow has been the easiest to deal with thus far. I have a complete AC Infinity T6 air cooling system that will help monitor and regulate the environment and I haven't even had to turn it on yet and that's even after raising the wattage of my lights up to 60%...As for the nutrients, I am using Down to Earth Organics. The pots themselves are layered so that there is more N than PK in the top layer to aid in veg and more PK than N in the bottom layer. Besides a normal watering the plants have only been given a mild Bokashi solution.
The girls are doing well and have started yoga lol! As far as watering goes, I only have watered once this week and that was with a carbonated water mixture. Pre-flowers have started to show and I plan on flipping them soon as this is a fast flowering strain. Other than turning up my lights to 90% there is nothing else to say but Happy Growing and Good Harvesting 😎
The girls are smooth sailing. Continuing LST adjusting on an every other day basis. After turning up the lights to 90% of course the temps and humidity becomes an issue. Due to the fact that I am trying to not use my humidifier as it is a hassle to keep refilling it twice a day, I found remedy in using an organic living mulch. Temps and RH are now stable and as always everything is a learning experience, that's the best part besides the harvest lol! Anyhow, I gave the girls a nice compost tea this week and they seem to be loving it, I plan to flip them here soon, maybe in the next week or so. As always Happy Growing and Good Harvesting 😎
The girls are doing well and today marks the first day of 12/12 after a 36 hour dark period. This week for feeding I gave them nice Carbonated Phosphorus Water. Happy Growing and Good Harvesting people🙏
Week one of flowering and the girls are starting to bush out. They are starting to gain more of an appetite and I am now feeding them twice a week. This week they had a Cal/Mag/Phosphorous feed and seem to like it...there is a subtle sweet smell comping from them but not too powerful at least not yet. Nothing more to say but Enjoy your Experience and Grow Strong Growmies👊
@DreamIT, I gotta transplant everything outta my propagation box and then I'll start...hopefully in the next coming weeks...I want to see exactly what my little T5 will do anyway 😎
@Sammy23, Yessir...I am totally on the Organic/Companion growing concept...I will say that I won't be using the purple variety anymore...I want to try the asian variety against the sweet Italian version....stay tuned I'll be expanding on my lil permaculture ecosystem in my Barney's strains and also my micro Fast Buds GG grow...just waiting on my cover and companion crops to sprout...🙏Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page and show some love...Grow strong friend👊
C'est bien de voir un autre cultivateur sortir de la normale. J'ai déjà utilisé du lait en poudre pour ajouter du calcium sans additifs ni produits chimiques. Bonne chance avec votre culture et votre basilic a fière allure.
🌱😎👌
@Edenganj It doesn't really effect the plant, bro science will say it increases terpene production and makes for a better tasting bud. But I use it to deter pests from coming inside my pot...Naturally basil repels Spider mites, white flies, thrips and aphids among other insects.
