These seeds are from I49, so they don't have any germination requirements to guarantee an 80% germination ratio. Just for kicks I germinated two seeds using the glass of water for 16 hrs., and paper towel method. The other I put directly in the substrate. After the two germinated, I put them into the substrate. All three broke ground the same day within hours of each other.😏
Everything seems to be going pretty good now. I only saturated the substrate before putting the 2 germinated seeds, and the other directly in the substrate. I noticed algae forming over the top of the soil. I'm thinking because the pots are so big starting out, and these little girls aren't drinking much right now. I scraped all of it off, and turned up the dehumidifier a couple notches for 3 or 4 days. Dropped humidity to 40%. It hasn't started reforming so hopefully that's the end of it.😌 I usually don't start out fems in such big pots. I usually start out small, and work up, but I was experimenting with the germination process, and am pressed for space in the grow room so I figured what can it hurt. Probably shouldn't have added that much water either. Oops.😦
The little G13 girls seem to be doing ok. The third one going clockwise in the pot still has her first set of leaves curled down. The other two don't. I'm not real sure what's going on there. I thought it was either to much water starting out or to much light. I'm gonna let it play out for a few more days, and see what happens. I lowered humidity, and increased temperature to get a little more evaporation of the moisture in that big pot. Don't see any algae forming again so that's good. Just gonna have to keep an eyes😶 on p.#3, and bring them leaves back up.💪
The G13 girls are now doing great.👍 I think lowering rh, and raising temps for about 4 days did the trick. I also increased Advanced Nutrients B-52, and Sensi Cal Mag Xtra for 4 days. The girls responded well. Especially p.#3, who's leaves were curled down a bit before. They're about ready to be transplanted into their own pots. Probably tomorrow. So, overall, good week.☺️
The G13 girls were transplanted to day after their first day outside in a while. They seemed to like it. We'll hit 'em with a little extra B-52, Sensi Cal Mag Xtra, and some Tarantula to help them recover, and get going again. Another day outside in the sun tomorrow. Awesome!🌞
The G13 girls are doing great! Had a little setback with plants #2, and #3 when I transplanted them so they're a bit behind p.#1. No big deal. They're both doing good now, and will be fine. I shouldn't have let them go so long in the same pot together. Disturbed the root ball, and damaged some when removing them from the pot. Cut back on nutrients after taking some ph, and tds readings. Still a bit high on tds, and a bit low on ph for what I like, but real close now. Next water they'll be right on.
The G13 girls are doing well. I was hoping for a little more height out of plants 2, and 3, in order to catch up a little to p.#1. I think they're still forming the roots that I damaged during transplant. That's ok though, I think we're gonna do even better this week.👍 Plant 1, is crazy!😵 If I remember correctly, she gained another 8"!☺️
Great week for the G13 girls. Topped and defoliated all 3 plants. Plant #1, is finally in the ground. Plant #2, probably in a couple more days. Plants 1 & 2, are both about 31" now. All 3 plants got 2 feedings of Advanced Nutrients Rhino Skin, and Sensi Cal Mag Xtra after topping, and defoiliation. All is well.☺️
Plants 1 & 2, are both in the ground, and doing very well. Plant 3, is indoor/outdoor when sunny. So now, This diary will report only on plant 3. All of the girls from all 3 phases of the summer grow, that are staying indoor/outdoor have been flipped to 12/12 as of yesterday. Will still include photos of the 2 G13 plants that are now outside, but all other info in this diary will pertain only to plant 3.
The G13 is doing great! Pistils are popping, and we're on our way to preflower.☺️ Switched over to bloom stage nutes, and am giving this girl some Advanced Nutrients Bud Igniter. First time I've used it so we'll see how it goes. Some of my associates say it's one of the best things they've added to their nutrient program. Others say they didn't see much difference so, I've got to see for myself.😉
The G13 girl is doing great. Performed some heavy defoiliation, and lollipoping to really focus her energy on producing some big buds. Switched up bloom stage nutes. Added Advanced Nutrients B-52, and Sensi Cal Mag Xtra, and finished the two week cycle of Bud Igniter. She's recovering well, and seems to be happy.☺️
The G13 indoor/outdoor girl is doing well. Unfortunately, I broke a branch taking her outside one morning. No big deal, but it still hurt. I applied a bandaid of masking tape. It's still alive, but the pistils all turned, and it's looking like it'll be sacrificed as a smoke sample. We'll see how long it lasts till then. Buds are putting on some size, and getting frosty.☺️
So, finally back on track with the posts. Big surprise for me yesterday. Checked trichomes, and bam! Got some cloudy ones already. I was told that the Bud Igniter from Advanced Nutrients would speed up the flower cycle, but wow! I wasn't expecting it to be this soon. So, this G13 giri is in the flush with Flawless Finish from Advanced Nutrients. Will be checking trichomes daily, and as soon as we got a majority of cloudy, and about 20-30% amber, in the dark room she goes.☺️
So, this G13 was part of a 4 phase grow.3 plants all started the same time, 2 put outside in the ground, one kept inside under 12/12 lighting. Will be back to update
P.#2, indoor/outdoor has been harvested, and will conclude this grow. The other G13's will be incorporated into the outside part of the phase #1 summer grow.
Thanks to GD, the GD Fam, and all that made this grow possible. Stay lit.🚬😉✌️
