Week 3: fed 2x
Gear: added a Vornado Flipi V oscillating fan for air circulation
Starting to pre-flower
At 5 inches tall, shes SHORT, THICK and THIRSTY with little to no run off each watering.
Gave her a trim, took off a few fan leaves to expose bud sites.
Week 4: fed 2x, flush 1x
-Starting to flower
-Trimmed a bit
-no change to environment.
-Trunk and stems are getting thicker and staying in place
-removed all but 4 staples.
Week 5: fed 2x
Gear:
- added box for fan to sit on
- lower light from 38" to 24"
- trichomes starting to form
- grew 4" this week
- has a slight Pepper Jack cheese smell
- phosphorus deficiency, forgot to use foxfarm flower kiss spray on.
- starting to show cal/mag deficiency
Notes:
- should've spaced the stems better
- deficiency began to show after the light was
lowered to 24" by mistake
- Not sure if the light is causing cal/mag/phosphorus
deficiency due it being too close at 24" or due to flowering.
Week 5: fed 2x
Gear:
- no change to enviroment
- light at 24"
- grew 0.5" this week
- cal/ mag/ phos deficiency spreading
- buds are starting to fatten up
- pepper jack cheese smell getting stronger but still unnoticeable outside of tent
Notes:
- trimmed a bit for better light penetration
- added AN cal/ mag supplement + FoxFarm Flower Kiss foliage spray.
hopefully this solves the deficiency issue
Week 7: fed 2x flush 1x
Gear
- light 30"
- added Vornado cool mist humidifer
- grew 0.5" this week
- cal/ mag/ phos deficiencies seem to to have stopped spreading
- buds are get fat and feel solid to touch
- has less pepper smell, more cheese but still not very strong.
- trimmed off damaged leaves
Notes:
- Hairs are turning orange and starting to curl earlier than expected.
- should've added a humidifier from the start.
- evaportive humidifier would be a better option, would be able to hang the light lower vs cool mist having to worry about the light getting wet
- definitely see a positive difference in trichome production with the added humidity.
- the dry air and low hanging light might have contributed to deficiencies.
Week 8: fed 1x
Gear
- light 30"
- REMOVED!!! Vornado cool mist humidifer
the white dust was clogging my carbon filter and stopping air moving in tent, raising my temperatures.
- no change in growth this week
- deficiencies seem to to have stopped
- buds are fat and solid to touch
- no more pepper spicy smell, more sweet cheese
- trimmed off damaged leaves
Notes:
- tent temp was unusually warm due to filter being clogged but the humidifier putting out white dust, which in turn caused plant to mature quicker than normal.
-Hairs are turning orange and starting to curl earlier than expected.
- evaportive humidifier would be a better option, no white dust.
-would be able to hang the light lower vs cool mist having to worry about the light getting wet
*Due to the temp issue in tent, I spent the weekend cleaning my set up, vacuuming out the white dust from my filter, fans and walls.
* had to harvest early 😑
