My arthritis is really playing up this year, and with the loss of my GSC and a false start one of my purple Afghan I've decided to get this going so I'm covered for medicine for the summer/winter. Looks like a great strain.
Day 1- she's above ground and out in the greenhouse today before coming in for some time under the CFL for the extra hours
Day 7 - nothing but warm weather for a week or two so she's outside
She is outside, in her final pot. No intervention from me bar a little defoliation later on during early flowering. Temps look good for next two weeks, mid 20's and dry, but who knows...
Day 9- still finding her rootspace in the new pot, expecting some new growth in the next week. All well so far
Day 11- I haven't had a good year for autos yet so I'm hoping this one will be 👌
Day 15, so far so good!
Day 18- fed her, no straight water as we have had very humid stormy conditions the last few days. Same mix I've been feeding all my veg phase plants. 3ml/l fish mix, 1ml/l liquid seaweed
She's starting to stretch out properly now, hoping for hot dry weather to give her the boost she needs for the next week 😁
Looks like she has started preflower just in time for week 5
Preflower in effect! First pistils late last week and a mini stretch underway. Have changed nutrients to bloom phase. We shall see what happens!
Day 32- fed nutrient solution
Getting mauled by bugs but otherwise doing well. On target so far. Sorry for the crap updates so far, I've been neglecting this girl, but she seems to be thriving!
Day 38- removed some fans and lower growth
Day 41- added cal mag to my nutrient regime. 5.8 pH 720ppm in, 6.4 pH 805ppm out, maybe a bit high
Stinky lady, looking good so far! Knock on wood but she's stacking up nice fat buds and stinking up my garden.
There's some issues with immobile nutrients on the oldest growth but I think it's a cal/mag toxicity and I have flushed twice and then returned to normal feeding and it seems to have halted any damage.
She's my most successful auto to date so much so that I started another two weeks ago but no diary for this one as my photos won't be finished until October
Day 49- moved into greenhouse as humidity is high and we are due some storms. Looks like she needs a feed!
Day 52- fan leaves are dropping fast. Not at harvest time yet so im wondering what is going on that nitrogen has dropped off so much. Really hoping it's not an overfeeding issue....don't want to flush at this point. Wonder if it's a pest issue. Something has been munching the hell out of the fans 😂
Will apply some neem oil around the greenhouse but not on her
I've got to take drastic action and risk putting neem oil on her as the pest situation is out of control. I just have to hope she can last out 3 weeks without any fan leaves so the neem has disippated by harvest time.
One last feed before we start flushing next week
My auto grows have been a step by step guide on what can go wrong this year. She grew very well and was set to produce a lovely yield but started suffering from an infestation of fungus gnats and spider mites. Unfortunately I was out of neem oil and when it did arrive it was too late. Otherwise she was an absolute star and I have another one just started flowering. Would definitely grow again.
I had to chop two weeks early as bud rot was setting in and the infestation wasn't getting better.
This means the harvest was very airy and leafy and I lost about twenty g wet due to rot, but it's still smelling amazing. I will update once dried and cured.
I did taste some popcorn buds from an earlier trim and it was delicious and surprisingly potent.
Drying finished after 9 days. Into curing they go!
Curing nearly complete, surprisingly spacy for an early harvest, munchies game is strong!
Loved the way this grew, just wished I hadn't had to chop early 😵.
Her little sister is two weeks in flower but I have neem oil to combat the pests this time!
