This girl is going strong. No droopy leaves this time. I'm starting some LST this week as well as starting her on some Dutch Science Nutrients Grow Baby Grow. let's Groooooooooow
So after doing just a couple of weeks of LST on my Elixer CBD auto I realised I didn't like how it was sitting in the pot. It was too late for the CBD but I still had plenty of time for this girl. so I filled up her pot with soil which kinda negated the LST I had already done. No biggie, I enjoy the work so doing a little extra is okay. That's pretty much the only change other wise she's growing well. Continuing on with Dutch Science Nutrition and LST.
Good morning and welcome to week 4. This week I continued to refine my LST, took on some pests and took our grow lights to the next level.
Taking lessons from performing the same LST technique on my Elixer CBD Auto, this training is going a lot better. The branches are a little more spaced out without looking stretched. I hope this gets me some nice air flow underneath the canopy once it develops further.
PESTS!!!! I noticed what looked like thirp damage but I couldn't see any bugs i gave them a light spray with Safer's End-All that should get rid of those little punks.
*If anyone notices anything on the leaves that can confirm my suspicions I would really appreciate it.*
Last week I was mulling over concerns about the amount of light my plants were getting. My last harvest (before GrowDiaries) was weak asf and the more I read about the cheap no name grow lights (which I had) the more concerned I became. So I took the plunge and got our girls a brand new TS-1000 from Mars Hydro. It took me like 5 minutes to set up and it looks great. I hope the girls like it and gobble up all those tasty photons mmmmMMMM tasty.
Going forward the only thing I'm changing this week other than the new light is the distance from lamp to plant so everything else continues on as we approach flower time.
Ahhrrrrrggggghhhh PH imbalances!
Don't panic. We got this.
After a few theories and a bunch of research what I originally thought was light stress then a Cal Mag deficiency. Then I saw leaf damage and thought of Thrips. Wrong wrong and wronger.
Turns out the soil PH is all out if wack. By which I mean waaaaaay too high. Like almost 8. That's what I get for not thinking PH was nOT tHaT BiG a dEaL. Now equipped with my PH and TDS meters and a little PH up and PH Down from Standard Hydroponics we can get thing back into balance.
Lots of leaf growth this week. Looks like flowering is right around the corner. This will probably be the last week I'll feed her Grow Girls Grow from DSN and switch to Bloom Baby Bloom next week.
I've also done some defoliation this week to get light to some of the bud sites. Again I had no idea LST was this powerful, she's gonna have such pretty flowers
Looking forward to Bloom 🌹🚀🌻😎
Hey two weeks ago me.👏monitor👏and👏correct👏your👏PH👏
Over the past week we've gotten our ph back in balance and have had an explosion of growth. Shes so shaggy at the moment but shes definitely enjoying all those lush leaves and the photons they gobble up.
I did pick up on some red stems which led me to micro-nutrient deficiency so I picked up some Dutch Science Nutrients Cal-Mag and will be adding that to every plants feeding plan going forward.
I'm gonna let this one stay shaggy for a bit the light doesn't seem to have any trouble penetrating and reaching the flowers so let her enjoy the locks while she can. Soon...... snip snip.
In adjusting some LST I accidently broke a stem and topped her. I don't think it will make that much a difference at this point.
At least I hope not.😎😎😎
Hey y'all sorry I've been a little slow with the updates but life is busy... You know.
Anyway let's check in on our Indoor girl.
The flowering stretch is waaaaay under way she's grown almost double her height in the last two week. I've had a bend quite a few tall stems down. To keep her flat but there's flowers every where.
Since we're only two weeks from harvest it's time to put away the Dutch Science and begin our flush. Lots of water and regular TDS checks of run off are the mission, a TDS value of less than 250 ppm is the goal.
Week eight also means it's time to defoliate ,which is awesome cause this girl was looking very shabby. Now shes got that nice breezy up do.
Looking forward to seeing what those Big Bud genetics can do for our beautiful Northern Lights. 😎🇨🇦
This darling just wouldn't stop spreading out so I had to break out my screen. She now has quite the canopy with many many tasty bud sites. Now I originally thought this was a 10 week grow and started flushing with clean water on Week 8. Upon further research I realised my girl had an extra two weeks to go. Not a big deal I just stopped feeding earlier than originally planed.
This week I'm going to continue to flush with clean water and wait for the buds to fatten. I'm excited for this one.
Overall this was my second autoflower grow and it turned out a lot better than my first. The plant yielded about 258 g wet so hopefully about half that in dry weight I'll update once I'm done drying. I have more of these on the go outside and have one more seed will definitely Grow again. Thanks for following, stay cool keep growing.
