So on the 19th we are just one week away from Full Moon, it's a perfect moment to put the seeds to germinate. I didn't want them to be monsters, that's why the late planting. It is gonna be a totally organic grow of three different strains: Durban Poison (Sativa), Durga Mata (Indica) and a Liberty Haze (60 % Sativa, 40 % Indica). Nutes are gonna be organic Alfalfa meal, Seaweed, Fish meal, Bat guano, Palm Tree Ash applied as Top dressings and as a Fermented juice I made from the first 3 ingredients with brown sugar and molasses (based on recipes used in Korean Natural Farming) I use EM (Efficient Microorganisms) all along the project and Biotabs Boom-boom Spray 3-4 times during their lifecycle. Neem against insects and Diatomaceous Earth and Vermiculite as a Silicium source. + Sprouted Seed tea once every two weeks for an enzymatic boost. Looking forward to share my experiences about how to grow organic beauties outdoor. Bom bolenath! UPDATE: 21.05.2021 Wow! In only 24 hours 2 of the seeds (Durban Poison and Durga Mata) have already broken up and the germs are visible. 23.05 The Liberty Haze is a bit late compared to her sisters, but going fine. Today I'll put her into the soil.

Grow Questions

Hi guys! Do you have any idea why Durban Poison is growing so slowly? I am suspicious I might have hurt her during the transplantation. She has 3 pairs of leaves and she is healthy green, but her leaves are very small...strange from a sativa. She has the same age as my Durga Mata

Might be a transplant problem but it looks healthy enough. This is from two weeks ago, has it bounced back yet?

Hei everyone! I am using Guanokalong’s bat guano and palm tree ash as organic PK booster. How do you think it’s better to use them: to mix them with water and molasses and make a liquid food for the plants OR Add them as a top dressing. Flowering has just started.

I was under the impression that bat guano was very high in Nitrogen. Not great for flowering. Palm ash sounds interesting as will give a carbon boost to the plants. Either way will work. A top dressing will release the nutrients slower than making a solution the day before. That would allow the nutrient to infuse the liquid, therefore a faster delivery. Well, thats how it works in my head...I could be wrong. good luck and happy growing

Thank You guys! Gracias ! Grazie! Trumptight420! I tried it out last year and it was a strong plant, with some pinkish purplish tones in the end. The smoke was very long lasting starting with a body buzz, which cleared out and turned in one hour into a cerebral journey.

Oh and the little worms are likely caterpillars. The soil microbe BT, used on vegetables, is an easy way to control them. After a spray on the stems they die within two days, and the BT is non-toxic and photodegrades within a day or two. I just figured out that this year. 😎
Northern_Ent
Northern_Entcommented3 years ago
@GardenOfTheRisingSun, I think you can. If you look up BT it’s just a specific soil microbe that happens to kill caterpillars. It is used on food crops and is considered a safe organic pesticide. You’re supposed to avoid spraying the buds directly but I doubt it matters. The BT will be quickly degraded by sunlight.

@Northern_Ent, Can I spray the flowers as well with the BT or is it better not to?

Congrats. I’m excited because I might have a chance to try growing Durban Poison here next year. 😎. It’s been on my cannabis wish list since the first time I heard the name, so that’s cool.

@Northern_Ent, Durban Poison was an easy going plant. She got pollinated a bit (while the others didn't), so there are some seeds. Next time hopefully I can avoid this. For the rest she is great. And I also recommend Durga Mata: she surprised me with her extraordinary strength, and then with the smooth multipurpose smoke she gave.

I'm growing in 30+degrees daily. They're 4 weeks old now, did you protect yours under a shade at this stage. Uv is very high here (Portugal) between 11am and 4pm. Good luck with the rest of the grow. Your diary is great..

@Pezpot, Thank you! I did not protect them against UV. Here also is above 30 most of the time, but they didn’t show signs of lightburn.
