Hello everybody. Round 3 has started 😀 2 New strains for this year outdoor grow. After 2 summers of RQS Lemon Shining Silver Haze and after 7 regular feminized seeds grows I'm going to explore unknown territory with my first automatic plants. Jack Herer and Northern Lights from RQS. Got them for free so that's a fun start 😁 Germinated them with the RQS easy start. 2x Jack and 2x NL. I'm gonna keep one of each strain and give the 2 others away to friends. Jack will be grown in a growbox togheter with the RQS companion plants. NL will grow in a regular pot, also gonna add some extra plants around. Both of them will be low stress trained. This is my first attempt to LST. Give me as much advice as u guys and girls want on this topic. All my grows went pretty wel but we learn each round so I'm eager to try out all my "knowledge" from the previous rounds. Gonna pay more attention to PH. Last year I was able to avoid budrot and bugs. With the neemoil and companion plants I have good weapons for fighting bad bugs. I will have flowering period from June till end of August so cold climate will be no problem. Let's hope for normal weather. I can shelter the plants when it's raining too much. I don't care for it in beginning of flower but absolutely avoid it in final weeks. It sucks too much when u discover budrot 😭😔 I will prepare my LSTclips and growbox this weekend. Need to drill some drainage holes and apply the LSTwires. Also a visit to the growshop for soil. Hope u will enjoy this diary and journey with me. Happy growing friends 😉

Hello everybody. 3 of 4 seeds have already sprouted. The 2 Jack's came out after 4 to 5 days. The 2 NL'S are slower. One has put his head out after one week, other one is still trying too. I transferred them too little pots once they reached the bottom of the RQS easy start and added mychorizza and rhizobacter in the holes. Will let them grow for one week untill the roots settle in and then they go to their final home. I'm aware of the fact that I can only transfer an automatic one time to cause the least stress to her Also Germinated all the companion plants. Jack will grow with red and white clover, Marigold, Alfalfa and Chervil Massa. NL will have companion from Basilicum, Dill, Corriander and Lemon Balm. The soil for this year is a Light Mix from Plagron. Was happy with the Batmix last time but let's try out this one now. I mixed extra perlite and added Mega worm throughout the soil. Also 100g of RQS boost nutrition in 40 L soil. Let's see how they react. Happy growing friends, untill next week 😉

Hello everyone A very good week. Lots of beautiful weather and sunshine. And acceptable night temperatures. We do expect lots of rain and even hail tonight so I moved everything inside. Jack 1 is really digging his environment. I open the box every day for fresh air and a bit of water and she starts to settle in really well. I expect a lot of evolution in the coming weeks from this girl 🙂 NL 1 is a bit slower. No bad signs but not that much progress yet. We will see. Patience is a beautiful thing. Jack 2 is doing fine. Almost ready to be transferred to her final home but that's not for me. Going to give her away like I said. The other NL seed didn't germinate. I waited 5 more days and then I checked it but the seed barely sprouted. I started a new one and hope this one goes well. 3 out of 5 seeds so far. I hope for 4/5 haha No nutrients untill now. This week I will start up with the Rhizotonic roots stimulator. Will upload some better pictures this weekend. Happy growing friends.

Hello everybody A good week considering the weather but not a lot of evolution from the plants. They still look pretty small. Jack 1 has a starting defency. Noticed some yellowing in the leaves. Gonna start with Vita Race and add Rhizotonic cause this a lack of some nutrition. Iron? Let me know. Will upload a grow question. Jack 2 really catches up. Looking healthy and almost ready for transplant. NL 1 looks good whitout defencies but also still small. Thinking she is just settling in by now. Removed the lowest leaves. Gonna buy a small bottle of vegative/growing nutrients too this week. Also started with Neem Oil treatment. I don't know about these plants going to flowering in 4 or 5 weeks haha 😂 Hope they grow some more but I also read that they keep growing untill very late in flower. Really curious how they gonna develop. Will upload more pictures and the grow question. Happy growing friends

I'm sure this questions been asked before ... But it's not worth it, neem oil is not cheap. And the way it works is making the leaves and stems of the plant inhabitable for the insects, it doesn't do much at all to the soil.

Hello everybody This week went great. Beautiful weather and after transplant both the girls settled in really good. Especially NL 1 made great progress. A quick grower and beautiful healthy leaves. A minor smell but u need to come close. Jack 2 is finally catching up. After the roots stimulator and the first watering with nutrients she's looking much better then previous week. Jack 1 is a different story. I think she has a genetics problem. The leaves are looking weird and are not fully grown. Gonna keep her anyway haha. Curious what monster she becomes 😁 I bought new companion plants since most of the seeds in the regular pots didn't came out. The ones I placed in the growbox sprouted. Lots of herbs. 2 waterings this week with nutrients and I sprayed one day with Vita Race and 2 days later with Neem Oil. Gonna keep this shedule for the next weeks untill flowering. No other news. We expect some good and bad weather but that's perfect for now. Rain and sun : what more does a plant need ☔🌞 Happy growing everyone

Hey everybody The week went well, both girls grew a lot over the past days. Jack 2 is 27 cm NL 1 is 30cm Both look really healthy and I'm curious when they are gonna switch to flowering and how much more they will grow or how the buds will look. Jack 1 is around 30cm too but is a strange girl. The under canopy was showing some defencies and weird leave structure. But she is still growing strong and has the thickest stem out of the 3 plants in this diary. She has a lot of company in her growbox 😁 All 3 girls stood outside a lot in average weather conditions. Around 20°/23° Celsius during day and nights around 12°/15° Celsius. Also some raindays so I only watered in once with nutrients this week. One time Neem Oil spray this week. So far no bugs to see 🙏 I water in with 6 to 6,5 ph but I haven't checked my drainage water yet. Will do this in upcoming days. Added some support with bamboo sticks and wrapped plastic holders around the stem with some space between stem and holder. No chance on cutting the stem that way. Did the same last year and plant liked it. A fun grow so far. Hope it stays this way. Will upload some more pics soon. See u next week 😉

Hello everybody. A fantastic week. Lots of evolution and growth and I think I see the beginning of flowering with Jack 1 and NL 1. Jack 2 won't be far behind then 🙂 Weather is pretty great now. 25°Celsius during day and 15 at night. I would like it that way for 8 more weeks or so haha I also flushed my soil to check the drainage water. Watered in with 6,2PH with some more nutrients. Jack 2 has a Ph of 5,9 now. going to water in with 6,5 ph next time to make it 6,2 ph. She looks very healthy so I'm just going to make very small adjustments. Jack Herer is a cool strain so far. NL 1 was flushed with 2 liter of water but nothing has come out of the bottom yet 😂 going to update that soon but I think she was pretty thirsty. The top layer was completely dry. Going to let her use the water now and try again tomorrow. Update. Ph is 5,8 for NL 1. Gonna water in with a bit higher PH this week. Make sure both plants have around 6,3PH I didn't add hydro pellets this time so maybe that's a reason the water doesn't come out that easily. I also read that mychorizza fungus throughout the soil makes it able to hold more water. After the flush I'm going to build up with flowering nutrients and in 2nd/3rd week of flowering start adding green sensation. I'm always aiming for 2 weeks of flush in the end so it will be a maximum of 4 to 5 weeks of green sensation. I don't see any bugs yet. Going to keep treating her every 10 days with a good Neem Oil spray. Every 5 days also Vita race spray. No other news. Everything is going great so far . Happy growing friends. Until next week 😉

Hey everyone, welcome to Week 7 Jack 1 and NL 1 are flowering. Jack 1 looks like she's going to grow one main cola and a few little side buds. Not so very big. 2nd or 3rd week of flowering NL 1 looks great, very healthy and will stay under 1meter I think. 2nd week of flowering Jack 2 has the first signs of flowering and an insane stretch in the last few weeks. She is already bigger now then my photoperiod Lemon Haze last year. 😂 Pretty crazy for an autoflower or she has outstanding genetics. The difference with Jack 1 is huge haha She has a few bad leaves starting from under. Think this is a pottasium lockout like last year because of too low PH. Gonna water in with 7 now. Didn't give water since the flush from last week. They had a few rains too so enough water for sure. Kept them inside too for a night to dry out the soil. Only thing I will do upcoming days is water in with a higher Ph and introduce Alga Bloom and sugar royal with 1ml for Jack 1 and NL 1. Also the last Neem Oil and Vita Race sprays for those 2. Green Sensation is also for upcoming days. Jack 2 will have some more sprays before flowering. She looks like she is 2 weeks behind the other girls so also some more grow nutrients before switching to Alga Bloom. Will upload more and better pictures soon. Happy growing friends 🙏 Sad update : Due to safety and law reasons I had to move 2 plants. While moving her I snapped the main cola from NL 1 😥😔 I wired tape around it but I don't know. It looked pretty broken. First big accident/mistake from this grow. Lucky I have 3 other plants but I really loved this NL 1, she was the best from this grow and she will suffer for sure from this 😪

Hey everybody, welcome to week 8 I decided to give the soil from all plants a good flush since I got some ph fluctuations. Jack 1 came out 6,2 NL 1 was 5,6 Jack 2 is a different story 2 weeks ago it was 5.6 Last week 6.8 cause I watered in higher. I gave little feeding but it was still a bit too much and I noticed some burn on the tips and some leaves. Also on leaves from the starting buds itself so there was something wrong for sure. Looks like a Pottasium or Manganese defency. I made a grow question so give me any advice u want 😉 Its nothing to bad cause she also had an insane stretch in the last 2 to 3 weeks. From 65 cm to 96 cm now. What did u say RQS? Between 40 and 90 cm 😂 she really knocked it out of the park. Can't wait to see her in full flowering. Flushed with 6,5 ph and after 3 liter of water the drainage was 6,2 👌🙏 Gonna let her dry out now for some days and then start very slow with nutrients. Not so fun news : I snapped the main cola from NL 1 while moving her 😩 I recovered her with a wooden spalk from an ice cream (no joke) and wired some tape around her. After 4 days she looks fine but I'm not sure yet how this will affect her. Stunted growth for sure. We will see. She looks healthy otherwise. Jack 1 is really small but is doing fine. Starting to get frosty and will finish first, no doubt about that. The difference between the two Jacks is hilarious 😂 That's all for now, pictures from Jack 1 and 2 only for now. Will update this week with NL 1 too Happy growing friends 🙏

Hey everyone, welcome to week 9 A great week. NL 1 survived the brutal accident that almost chopped her main cola off. Happy she bounced back. The juice flow was never interrupted but she was hurt bad. Almost decapitated her. She has a very nice smell. Pistils are looking great and I think she still will deliver nice buds. Started up with the green sensation Jack 2 is still growing very strong. She has reached 1,05cm. What an insane stretch between week 6 and 9. Looking back on my comment from week 5 saying I don't think she will grow big makes me look like a fool now 😂 she doesn't handle nutrients that well I must say. PH is correct now but I'm still very cautious and easy with her. Some small signs of nutrient burn so I'm not gonna give more then 1ml/liter for everything. More supporting her then boosting her. I think she will flower pretty long, unlike Jack 1 Jack 1 is almost finished in my opinion. She stayed very small and I'm pretty sure that's a genetics problem. I'm going to start flushing her because she is showing all the signs of being done. Yellowing fan leaves, brown pistils and a big smell. Also bad weather coming up this week so no risks. She will be placed in my garden house with an open door for fresh air and lower humidity. She was a fun experiment but the difference between the 2 Jack's could not be bigger 😂 I gave green sensation in a very low dosage to her but she will not need/use it anymore. I defoliated all the plants a little bit and removed the starting popcornbuds. I want to spray one last time with Neem Oil for Jack 2 but still doubting. Week 3 of flowering is like the last chance to do it, I think. Let me know what u guys and girls think on that topic. That's all for now. Happy growing and see u next week 😉🙏

Hey everybody An average week here Jack 2 lost a lot of fanleaves and she's just hitting the 4th week of flowering 😒 Made a grow question cause I don't know what is going on. PH is correct, no more nutrientburn since I lowered the dosage. Can it be cold or overwatering? FanLeaves go dark and then start to die but this feels way too soon. Is she using leaves for nutrition? I don't wanna add more since she already has some burned tips. The buds themselves are still evolving but I'm a bit concerned with the speed of how quickly she is changing. It's way too cold for summer too. Nights are 14° Celsius and during day not much more then 20°. I'm avoiding October and now this 😂😁 Jack 1 is pretty much done, no more evolution from the buds and she didn't deliver that well. In upcoming week I'm gonna chop her. If I get 15grams dry I will be happy 😂 NL 1 on the other hand still has a good story. The buds are developing really well and she looks very healthy. All FanLeaves still green and praying to the light. It's a strong girl considering how I almost killed her main cola 3 weeks ago 😂 Curious how she will evolve. Northern Lights really delivers and it's understandable why this is one of the main strains for crossing and breeding. It's once again a fun but slightly challenging grow. Next year I will focus on one plant again and keep dreaming of an indoor grow haha See u next week Happy growing 🙏😉

Hello everybody Week 5 to 6 of flowering for Jack 1 and 2 and NL 1 Jack 2 is acting weird 😂 Still a lot of evolution but she barely has any FanLeaves left. They all turn purple, then light and then the plant uses them up as nutrients. PH is correct, I'm not overfeeding or overwatering. It can be a reaction to the cold environment. I'm gonna let her do her thing haha. Buds still look fine. NL 1 is doing fantastic. Nice pistils and a big smell. I did remove a very small bud that was getting sick. It's just under the part that almost got decapitated so I'm guessing that was the problem. The main cola still looks fine. Jack 1 will be harvested this week. Let her grow and flush one more time. Smells great but very small. Only pictures from NL 1 and a night picture from Jack 2. Will upload better ones tomorrow. Happy growing 🙏😉

Hello everybody A good week for Jack 2. All leaves are turning purple and I'm busy with defoliation for the dead leaves. She looks great and the buds are starting to swell up nice. How many more weeks left do u guys think? I think I'm going to give her one last good feeding and then start the flushing process. Let me know 😉 Jack 1 is harvested and drying. After a close inspection I needed to throw away some buds and ended up with one branch 😂 there were bugs on the stem and inside of the colas so that's a no go for me. Not too bad, it was a ridiculous small plant anyway. Good for a sample taste Pictures of NL 1 tomorrow. Will update Update : NL 1 was inspected today and her main cola and a few buds just below are removed : budrot 😪 Honestly I'm not surprised, it was a really rough snap a few weeks ago and she didn't have the best weather and environment the last weeks. Lots of rain and high humidity. Hope I can still save the other buds. I can't blame the plant and I'm really happy with the NL'S so far. They are beautiful plants that produce very thick buds with lot of resin but outdoor u can't control everything. Lucky I still have my other NL that is looking great (other diary) Will update that one soon Happy growing friends 😉🙏

Hey everyone An average week. Jack 2 still doing her best and she is whitout a doubt the best girl of this round. All buds are swelling up and are looking very frosty. she is in her final period now. Gave one last feeding with nutrients and from now on its flushing time. By the end of the week (maybe 10 days) I will chop and harvest her. The night/early morning humidity is pretty high too. Around 90%... Wich brings me too NL 1 😪 NL 1 is another story Remember I said last week I found some budrot... Well it has spread to some lower buds too so I decided to end this grow. There will be something left to save but not much. It's not for me anymore too. Gonna give her away. I'm not a fan of plants that have rot in anyway haha. I still can't blame the plant herself. She had rough conditions and a stupid accident caused by me. Still a bit sad because she looked fantastic in the beginning. Oh well Will still do the harvest report next week but not sure if she will be still here then. All focus on Jack 2 now 🙂 Another grow to learn from Happy growing friends, see u next week 😉🙏

Hello everybody A great week again for Jack 2 The buds are still maturing and swelling up nice. They all look very frost so I hope she gives some nice tasting buds 😁 This is the final week for her. I already placed the drying tent and removed some sample buds from the plant. All pistils are brown except some popcorn buds below but I'm not gonna wait for that. Just gonna let her dry out 2 more days and then it's chop time. The plant has been flushed one time with 6 liters water in total. Added some Canna flush to it. I was planning to do one more flush but I found some caterpillars and I don't wanna take the risk that they can spread. It's harvest window anyway so no harm done. NL 1 is gone, don't know if I will know the numbers for her harvest haha. See u next week friends Happy growing 😉🙏

Hello everybody Harvest day here and just like last year I'm gonna make it a regular flowering week in the diary and in 3 weeks to a month I will come with the results. So the chop itself went pretty smooth. I removed al the FanLeaves, sugarleaves and already did a nice trim. Other years I tried different approaches but this seems the best. I cut away the main cola and some big buds below a few days sooner since they were absolutely done, the other buds I left on the plant to mature for a few days extra and then proceeded to completly trim her. Buds look great, Pretty dense and big and all the buds kinda have the same size. The main cola is also not that huge but very decent. Frosty as hell and with a huge smell in my opinion. U would think that this is the most fun part of a grow (it is actually 😂) but I hate harvest day because of the insane smell a plant produces. Anyway she's hung up to dry now with a ventilator and a much needed carbon filter. The Roots on the plant looks insane. Lots of root bound and she really used all the soil and the entire pot. The stem is pretty thick, more then other years. I'm happy so far but the real test comes in 3 weeks. I already Tried a few sample buds and the taste is nice, a bit spicy and herbal, exactly what a Jack Herer is described like. I can only hope that with a good dry and cure she becomes even better but these were just small sample buds, curious for the big ones 😁😅 Thanks a lot for following this journey. See u guys and girls in 3 weeks Happy growing 😊🙏

Welcome to final week for this very fun grow 😊 We are 4 weeks later and I'm happy to say the buds have improved very well. They all look fantastic and very frosty. I did a 10 day dry in a growing tent with a fan on and a much needed carbon filter 😂 The buds went in the curing jar a bit moisty but very close to perfect. I opened the jars 3 or 4 times daily the first week and it was okay. After that some moisture fighters and I cut the last sugarleaves to perfection. After 3 weeks they are cured fantastic. I have around 80 grams from 2 plants but one gave 75g and the other 5g 😂 Jack 1 was a very small plant and her sister Jack 2 is the biggest girl I ever grew with 1m 10. The taste is spicy and herbal and the smoke is very smooth. Leaves a nice aftertaste on the tongue. A spicy hint, bit woody and skunky too Effects are great. More focus and motivation an very uplifting. Puts a big smile on your face... but if I smoke a big one or 2 I'm also very relaxed and pretty hungry. This strain is made for chilling out, gaming, watch movies/Shows whitout a too hard couchlock. I never was about to fall asleep or too stoned. Think its also perfect for when u smoke on a festival. I'm happy with the outcome. It's my best grow so far and for my first autoflowers I'm convinced on this kind of plants. Will defenitly grow this one again . The Northern Lights suffered from budrot and was thrown away. Not gonna review it and give bad ratings. Was my fault and I already have a new free seed from RQS when I ordered something. It was an NL 😁 that's a sign for a revenge round haha Thanks a lot for following See u next year for my next outdoor grow. I'm already having some nice ideas for that 😉 Happy growing friends.
