🍍Pineapple Express Auto Week 1🍍 Hi and welcome to my grow diary :) For this season I'll be growing one Pineapple Express Auto from FastBuds in a 5-gallon fabric pot. Since I'm quite an inexperienced grower I want to try out different mediums and growing techniques with each new grow. The medium for this grow consists of roughly 60% coco and 40% perlite. 🌱05/20: -put the seed in a glass of tap water and let it soak in a dark place -made some upgrades to my setup: I installed a carbon filter and inline fan, as well as a normal fan and a humidifier. Last grow I only used 2 old pc fans, one to extract the air and one to blow over the plants so this is a major upgrade. Especially with the odor control :D -I prepared the medium for the grow by mixing about 60% coco coir with 40%perlite and filled it in the 19l (5 gallon) fabric pot. Note that the medium I prepared was only about 14 liters since that was all I had. So the pot isn't completely full but I don't mind. I just rolled over the edges of the pot and I hope I can somehow use that as an anchor for some LST wires :D The coco I got already had fertilizer in it so I tried to flush most of it out by just watering the pot over and over. 🌱05/21: -after about 18 hours in the water I transferred the seed onto a paper towel and soaked it with more water and then let the seed rest in a dark place -I periodically checked if the paper towel was still moist enough and poured a bit of water onto it if needed -I turned on the humidifier to figure out what humidity levels I can reach in my tent. After a couple of hours on full blast, I got to 71% which is perfect since I'm aiming for 70% in the seedling stage. 🌱05/22: -First thing in the morning I checked on my seed and the taproot was showing. Nice -later in the day I then put the seed into its pot. I made a small hole in the middle and just dropped it in, covering it lightly with a bit of medium. -I may have been a bit impatient since the taproot was only about 5mm long when I planted the seed but I'm not too worried about that 🌱05/23: -Nothing really happened, I just checked that the medium is still moist enough 🌱05/24: -the plant started to show itself :D 🌱05/25: -she didn't lose her shell yet 🌱05/26: -she still had problems getting rid of the shell so I carefully pinched it and it popped right off👌

🍍Pineapple Express Auto Week 2🍍 I wanted to try out organic dry amendments instead of the other organic fertelizer I got, so I ordered some Since I want to keep this grow plant-based I got worm castings, neem seed meal, seaweed powder and palm ash to mix in the medium. I only added about 2 cups of the worm castings, 10ml of seaweed powder and 10ml of the neem seed meal to the top and just mixed it in good. Probably could have used way more but I didn't want to overdo it, so I'll just add more from time to time. After mixing everything together I sprinkled some alfafa and basil seeds on top and sprayed everything down with water. Other than that i didn't to much this week. I'm just checking on her every morning before work, water a bit if the medium is dry, write down the temp + rh and adjust the humidifier based on the current rh. But I really want to automate the rh control so I'm probably going to build a system for that soon. 🌱05/27: 21.1 °C / 65% 🌱05/28: 20.8 °C / 66% 🌱05/29: 20.8 °C / 62% 🌱05/30: 20.7 °C / 67% 🌱05/31: 20.8 °C / 61% - watered 1l (247ppm/ph: 6.19) 🌱06/01: 21.1 °C / 63% 🌱06/02: 21.1 °C / 63% - watered 1l (192ppm/ph: 6.59) - added worm humus, seaweed powder and neem seed meal to the medium - added alfalfa and basil seeds Peace and until next week ✌️ 💨🥦

🍍Pineapple Express Auto Week 3🍍 The rh climbed a bit since we got a couple of rainy days this week. So I replaced the humidifier with a small dehumidifier just in case the rh gets out of hand. I also lowered the height of the light a bit and I'm keeping it around 60cm (24") above the plant for now. Next week I'll probably start with some lst. 🌱06/03 Day 15: 22.1 °C / 70% -lowered light to 75 🌱06/04 Day 16: 22.4 °C / 68% 🌱06/05 Day 17: 22.2 °C / 70% -cover crop sprouted 🌱06/06 Day 18: 22.8 °C / 65% - watered 1l (190ppm/ph: 6.39) - lowered light to 70 🌱06/07 Day 19: 22.3 °C / 68% 🌱06/08 Day 20: 22.5 °C / 68% 🌱06/09 Day 21: 22.6 °C / 70% - watered 1l (190ppm/ph: 6.5) - added dehumidifier - lowered light to 60cm Peace and until next week ✌️ 💨🥦

🍍Pineapple Express Auto Week 4🍍 I started the week off with some low stress training. later in the week I then started to tuck the top under the trellis net. This is the first time I'm using this so I have no idea what I'm doing. I probably should just wait for some more growth to tuck it instead of tucking the same top so often in different positions lul Also the cover crop is taking off, prob gotta cut it back a bit next week 🌱06/10 Day 22: 22.6 °C / 68% - started with some lst 🌱06/11 Day 23: 22.8 °C / 67% 🌱06/12 Day 24: 23.4 °C / 67% - watered 1l (189ppm/ph: 6.29) 🌱06/13 Day 25: 23.4 °C / 66% 🌱06/14 Day 26: 23.3 °C / 60% 🌱06/15 Day 27: 23.5 °C / 63% - lowered light to 55cm 🌱06/16 Day 28: 23.7 °C / 63% - watered 1l (192ppm/ph: 6.46) ✌️💨🥦

🍍Pineapple Express Auto Week 5🍍 She really took off this week. Pistils starting to show on the second day. I took some bonsai wire to lst her a bit more since the trellis wasn't really working out yet. Later in the week, I then started to use it to push some of the fan leaves under the new branches so they can get some more light. She's do be getting quite bushy now🌳 I'm excited for the next couple of weeks :D 🌱06/17 Day 29: 23.5 °C / 71% 🌱06/18 Day 30: 25.4 °C / 64% - pistils starting to show - pinched off the 2 lowest branches since they didn't get any light and snacked them 🌱06/19 Day 31: 26.5 °C / 65% - watered 2l (189ppm/ph: 6.29) - back to last with some bonsai wire 🌱06/20 Day 32: 26.2°C / 67% 🌱06/21 Day 33: 26.6 °C / 64% - adjusted lst 🌱06/22 Day 34: 26.5 °C / 62% -more lst 🌱06/23 Day 35: 26.5 °C / 61% - watered 2l (188ppm/ph: 6.36) ✌️💨🥦

🍍Pineapple Express Auto Week 6🍍 So I chopped down the forest of covercrop that was growing next to her. It was really packed so I was getting kind of worried that something would happen with it like mold or smth. I did chop the top of them off so I could make a salad out of them. I also tried my best in carefully pulling out the remaining plants with their roots. After that I realized that the medium was way too dry. That prob caused the plant looking so sad. Added some worm poop and other amendments and mixed them in. I also added some more alfalfa, rucula and kale seeds but just a few. Watered everything in. She recovered fairly fast from that. Yesterday I did some more lst. I was amazed how fast she stood back up :D Don't really know much bigger she will get tho 🌱06/24 Day 36: 26.9 °C / 71% 🌱06/25 Day 37: 26.7 °C / 61% 🌱06/26 Day 38: 26.1 °C / 60% 🌱06/27 Day 39: 26.5°C / 59% - watered 3l (191ppm/ph: 6.48) - harvested the alfalfa and other green stuff, pulled the roots out - added 4 cups worm poop, 10ml of neem seed meal and 25ml seagrass meal 🌱06/28 Day 40: 25.7°C / 64% - watered 1l (149ppm/ph: 6.36) - 500ml of that with 0.5ml biobizz bloom and 0.4ml calmag 🌱06/29 Day 41: 25.1 °C / 65% - lst 🌱06/30 Day 42: 25.5 °C / 64% - watered 1l (145ppm/ph: 6.22) ✌️💨🥦

🍍Pineapple Express Auto Week 7🍍 She really blew up this week :D I slowly removed the lowest growth sites and leaves over a couple of days to not stress her out that much. I also removed the scrog because the wires are holding her in place and the scrog literally did nothing. But I'll definitely use it for my next photo run. She's showing some signs of deficiencies... I gave her some more CalMag and bloom fertilizer in hope that will fix it. It didn't lol 🌱07/01 Day 43: 24.9 °C / 61% -removed some lower growth 🌱07/02 Day 44: 25.0 °C / 61% - watered 1l (182ppm/ph: 6.43) - fed 500ml of solution (1ml grow, 1ml bloom, 0.5ml top-max, 0.4ml CalMag) 🌱07/03 Day 45: 25.1 °C / 61% - some defoliation of the lower leaves and growth sites 🌱07/04 Day 46: 24.4°C / 64% 🌱07/05 Day 47: 24.5°C / 64% - watered 1l (160ppm/ph: 6.46) - fed 1000ml of solution (2ml grow, 2ml bloom, 1ml top-max, 0.4ml CalMag) 🌱07/06 Day 48: 24.2 °C / 63% 🌱07/07 Day 49: 24.1 °C / 63% - fed 1000ml of solution (2ml grow, 2ml bloom, 1ml top-max, 0.8ml CalMag) ✌️💨🥦

The leaves are turning yellow with some chlorosis on the edges and in the middle of the leaf. Anyone knows what causes this and how to fix it? She didn't get any CalMag until last week and I didn't add any high phosphorus and potassium sources to the medium.

Hi there, I assume that your plant is suffering from nute burn and lock out. When I read in your diary, you give water with nutrient solution and didn't let the water to be run off.I think that cause your medium to increase in EC(ppm) and become lock out.Advice to give water with 10~15% run off and check both pH and ppm(EC).Try to maintain pH around 6.0 if you are growing in Coco. And also check ppm(EC) level of run off whether it is too much higher than ppm in.Good luck and happy growing... ✌️

🍍Pineapple Express Auto Week 8🍍 Ok so my ph meter wasn't working correctly for the past few weeks and I didn't notice. So I constantly gave her water with a ph of around 5.5 I guess that's why she showed signs of deficiencies. I flushed the medium 2 times this week, hopefully now correct ph water, to try and fix it. I really hope she recovers fast 🙈 Anyway, she still stretched for a few more days and the buds are growing as well. She does seem kinda happy besides the nutrient deficiencies she's having. She's also getting a bit frosty already👌 Main top is about 30cm (12") below the light and the rest of the canopy sits at around 40-45cm (16"-18"). put up some sticky traps because a small fly made it into the tent 🌱07/08 Day 50: 23.5 °C / 67% 🌱07/09 Day 51: 24.3 °C / 64% - watered 3l (182ppm/ph: 6.13) 🌱07/10 Day 52: 23.8 °C / 69% 🌱07/11 Day 53: 23.9°C / 66% - flushed with 5l (182ppm/ph: 6.13) 🌱07/12 Day 54: 23.7°C / 65% 🌱07/13 Day 55: 24.6 °C / 69% 🌱07/14 Day 56: 24.4 °C / 63% ✌️💨🥦

🍍Pineapple Express Auto Week 9🍍 buds are getting bigger and the smell is getting stronger👌:D other than that nothing much happened this week. Leaves are still getting yellow. 🍍Pineapple Express Auto Harvest🍍 Harvested her on Day 81 I removed the big fan leaves before hanging her up to dry in the tent It got pretty hot that week here so the buds only dried for 1 week (chopped on Monday morning and trimmed on Sunday evening) Buds were a bit dry by then I threw a boveda pack in the jar with the buds to get some moisture back in them tastes great and is really relaxing and it helps against my migraine so I'm happy👌 definitely did some mistakes in this grow but I'll learn from them still got close to 28g from her and that will last a while I will def grow this strain again sometime next grow will be 24k gold tho ✌️💨🥦
