Day 0: Planted in coco coir/perlite. I have been having issues germinating in Fox Farms Ocean Forest with my other seeds. Watered and directly planted seed about 1/2cm deep.
Day 3: sprout now visible and is starting to rise from the soil. This guy already shed his helmet and is ready to groooowww.
Day 4: set of first true leaves showing and the plant is settling in. Holding off on watering based on the weight of the cup.
*** Begin veg ****
Day 6: very little growth. I'm pretty sure I should have started using nutes sooner but here we are. Gave em some food. Hope he grows soon.
Day 7: ugh, he looks over watered! His main leaves are drooping a little now. I'm running a small fan in the tent and cutting back the humidity to help dry him faster. I think he will be just fine in a few days. Gotta try to stop giving so much water at once.
Day 9: looking good! Going to water with ffgb and calimagic tonight.
Day 13: this boy is responding tremendously to the nutes. Planning on repotting tomorrow, a root is peeking out.
Day 14: transplanted him into a 3gal bag. Very healthy root structure, looks great. Flushed with water only since I used a tiny bit of Ocean Forest soil and another soil (gotta look up the same) with the coco coir. Didn't want them to get over loaded. Will do 1/2 strength depending on how they are doing next water.
Day 20: looking great. No signs of pre-flower but it is making some dense clusters of leaves which is promising. Got a new grow light that was far more powerful than my old one, apparently. The plant got a little cupping from getting a little too much light/heat but things are being managed.
Day 29: doing very well. Super dense. Tucked back some of the huge fan leaves so buds could get some light. No signs of flowering at all.
Day 34: still no flowering but is starting to stretch which is good. Defoliated the bottom node or 2. Waiting to see how it grows out before touching the larger fan leaves. Growing well. Noticed this strain doesn't seem to require much water compared to the others.
Day 40: this plant exploded over night. Started everyone on a 12/12 light schedule due to another photo period strain getting too tall in the tent. Super pretty, even canopy. Excited to see how it looks flowered. Should be blooming any day. Staying on veg nutes for now. No LST or anything done yet.
Day 44: the canopy is literally so even that I can't defoliate because none of the bud sites are really sticking out. It is very thick and dense. I lollipopped the bottom 2 nodes. Cut off 1 or 2 little branches with popcorn bud potential. Started scrog to help limit plant height. For some reason it is very difficult to find a grow tent taller than 5ft for me. I guess it's because I'm using a baby 4x2. Overall, doing great. On 12/12 due to another plant in the tent being photo period.
Day 47: the canopy on this guy is insane. Filling up like crazy. Glad I have the SCROG net on. Bended a few tall branches under the netting.
Day 57: low ppms, upped from 2 -> 3 tsp/gal. This thing really exploded in veg and I hope it serves me well in bloom.
Day 59: added BC and BB from AN and scaled TB down from 3 tsp/gal to only 2 tsp/gal. R/O EC 1500 now 6.0 pH. Finally. Defoliated some stray fan leaves and trimmed up some space in the middle for her to breathe. Very exciting.
Day 85: defoliated a few weeks ago. I would like to defoliate now again but it's so late into flower that I just want them to finish up. Doing well. Feeding at about 1300 EC right now. Was worried about nute burn with another plant in my tent. Will check run off EC today and see if I want to up the food at all.
BRUH. Way more than I expected. Buds are beautiful, green, and are thick. Lots of big colas. Wish I would have let it gone for another 2 weeks or so but had circumstances pop up that called for an early harvest.
Smoked: been curing only a week and some change but I had to try it. Hitting harder than 80% of the stuff I've ever tried. Great big buds. The piney/earthy smell is getting better by the day. Was definitely nervous the first few days after dry. I like more fruity, less earthy flavors so I might not get again just for that reason alone. Great if you are looking for yield though.
Man this was growing so slowly and then picked up fast in flower. Really didn't think I would get anything from her until the last few weeks. Could have gotten more but things happen. Very excited. Reminds me of the typical bag stuff you would get in school. Very grass/herbal smell right now going into the jars.
