June 18th - the middle of the plant was stripped of fan leaves and only 1 bud-site per node was kept active at the hub. These are now going vertical. Which is awesome. - big rain in the forecast, some phish poop (1 cup liquid mix) added to Jacks base June 19th - its been over a week since Jack has had Green Planet nutes. Will sneak a nutrient feeding-in very soon. June 21st - asked the question about whether or not I should be allowing the growth in the middle of the Hub. Not every bud-site has been removed in the middle of the plant. And the ones I have left (1 per cola branch in the middle) are out-growing the main Colas slightly. It all lloks healthy and balanced… but i dont want to mess-up the growth June 23rd - plant is really healthy and is throwing up select branches, one from each Cola, in the middle of the Hub. - fed a green planet Gallon today. Mixture is above. - feedings are being left to the soil/Rain, a weekly cup of liquid water/fish poop and if it seems dry nuf, like today, I threw a gallon of Food at it. Ingredient levels are increasing. - Plants status will dictate how and when it gets fed. - still misting a Foliar spray every 3 or 4 days, when the heat of the day is done and over. Near the end of light. Top & bottom of leaves June 24th - Kelp Meal scratched into the surface. Outdoors, i’ve moved the volume up to 3 table-spoons sprinkled across & into the soil. … Lightly moistened, let it do its thing for a month. - all the significant new growth is showing that this Topping/Manifold experiment is going to produce a serious structure. All the 16+ original Colas are having no problem going external and upwards now. Picking off any stray growth or new growth in the bare places. Gonna let it fill-out until Flower now. Then it’s decision time week 2 or 3. (thx biobuds)

Grow Questions

I began working towards a 16 cola plant, topping as required and made a beautiful plant. As it has been moved outside and allowed to expand outwards and now upwards, “Are the new shoots in the Middle, stealing NRG from the Colas?”

Well they are and they are not. With a wide canopy like yours, it is going to fill out the middle. Just select tiny branches from the underside for pruning if you really want them out. But since you are growing outdoor, and doing fine with it, I would leave them to grow fuller and when close to flowering, make a final selection based on sundirection (so branches to the north). I ve had good results outdoor, by pushing the plant 45 degrees towards north, which creates a canopy like bush facing south, your setup is ideal when growlights are directly above. You will still have great results, I think the middle ranches will give you more than the branches towards north! Good luck and hope for a warm summer!

Root growth and root ball development are critical parts of any Grow ! Understood But WHEN do we taper or remove it from the routine? Heading into the last weeks of flower each time I find myself asking about it… So hear goes….. When do we stop adding root boosters?

You give it the entire grow, then stop for ripening and flush. So you could stop anywhere from 4-2 weeks before harvest. Really it's up to you.

@1Right_Angle, you to. I hope it works for you well. If not then I am stumped. It is a experiment that does not have any negative effects. Maybe a bit more messy. Good luck my friend 👍

@1Right_Angle, just make sure buds are not bunched when hanging. I do harvest videos on my diaries. Also on my YouTube. Can see exactly how I go about it if your curious. It is worth a try. But I never have a problem with a good smell.

@deFharo, i agree 100%. Its the first time I had a real application for it. Its a sturdy one and it can be “shaped” or even made oblong, to fit the Hubs shape… Have fun with that. Thanks Man

I am sorry to hear that, mate ;( Your misfortune only confirms what I was thinking about recently, which is about buying a Doberman pinscher puppy. One thing is the most faithful friend in life, two this breed is very alerted by nature and I already have some experience with pinschers. They leave no compromise for someone who wants to endanger your safety, your family safety and safety of your property. They are very intelligent dogs and the mere knowledge that you have such a friend will scare off amateurs of someone else's property. If not then they will be very surprised in the process... 👊💪😎

@CrazyHorse, i wish I could, and again I should not have to. At my end its a corner lot with quite a bit of visibility, plain and simple. Moves have been made, other bush’s blocking sight-lines… and fence is out. I’m chocking this one up to stupid teenagers who don’t know whats hapnin. Complete waste. Fence around the Plant… was in progress!! Thanks for a sure-fire remedy
