FIRST LEGAL AUTOFLOWER SEED IN ONTARIO CANADA!!! it's about time😒
I will name her Elvira. Anyone not familiar with "the mistress of the dark" should web search her now to understand why I chose that name. 😛
After two days under ground the little sprout showed itself. The soil was pre saturated several days before she went in and from that point it will probably only need to be watered a couple of times for the first month.
Seems to be coming along fine and really doesn't require much attention at this point. Needed a little water this week. No nutes but just a little calmag in the RO.
The tap water here is terrible for these plants for some reason.
Hopefully it's not so bad for us to drink🤔
Day 13: looks like she is doing lst on her own. Stem seems solid enough and not just tipping over. Must be leaning into the light or something.
Day 15: some weird spots on the leaves, not sure I've ever seen this problem before.
Day 19: no sign of spotting on the newest leaves. Hopefully whatever was happening has corrected itself.
Pourrait être juste un phéno étrange dans cette souche. J'ai eu des feuilles panachées, certaines avec 10 et 11 doigts et d'autres qui pensaient simplement qu'il s'agissait de plantes de bonsaï japonais. Je ne m'inquiéterais pas trop si votre nouvelle croissance semblait normale. Dans l'ensemble, ils sont très bien, continuez le bon travail que vous faites. 🌱😎👌
Day 22: leaves are looking pretty good now. She is definately going to be squat and super bushy. Not going to bend the top unless I absolutely have too though as the stem is very thick already. I will have to do heavy defoliation and possibly lst the side branches to open her up.
Day 24: got around to doing what I said I was going to do.
Day 26: man this is crazy, 2 days and I have to defoliate again! Her leaves grow fast and huge, blocking the branches below completely. I wonder how she would look if I just let her go. I think she would completely choke herself out.
Day 30: fuck this is 🤪. Going to have to trim her again. Very short, but vigorous plant. The stem is about as thick as a permanent marker already, and the side branches are quite rigid and strong as well.
Day 34: just starting to look a little pale at the top suggesting it may need some more nitrogen. Next watering will include a little bit of fertilizer to keep her going.
Day 35:the smell is getting really strong already and the blooms aren't even fully showing yet. I expect the buds to start showing themselves over the next few days. She received her first does of a full spectrum of nutrients. It looks like there is just the start of a phosphorus deficiency, so hopefully she gets what she needs this feeding.
Day 46: she is still being reluctant to show her buds. Decided to move her outside because some of my other outdoor plants are absolutley thriving right now and I thought she would benefit from it.
Day 53: this baby is sllooooww. The info given by the breeder is 110 days😲 which is really kinda pushing my personal boundaries for an autoflower. The buds are forming, but at such a slow pace it hurts. She is very happy outside though and she should still be ready for harvest before the end of August. I've had outdoor plants develop mold in early September here so either way she's getting chopped before then. She is starting to smell pretty strong, and I'm hoping that the extra long life cycle is worth the wait.
Day 56: just over half way to harvest ( hopefully🤞). She has really stretched quite a bit over the last couple of days and I think she is fully adjusted to being outside.
Truly disappointed, I was really having some fun with this diary. My first legal market seed and it proves to be shit genetics. I had much higher hopes for humboldt seed company as I've seen some pretty nice genetics from them. However in the video they produced for this strain he says they got into autoflowers reluctantly. Unfortunately it shows. Almost 12 weeks old and no where near finished, already suffering from wpm( not even September yet) and the buds are not buds at all, just weird foxtaily, mutant looking things. It had great vigor and it did autoflower which is really its only saving grace in my opinion.
I'm now stuck with a bunch of very expensive seeds that I will NOT be wasting my valuable tent space on over the winter months.
@Gokou4OG, You clearly don't understand that growdiaries is a supportive community, free of unjustified douchebaggery. Maybe you should spend some time taking a good long look at your own diaries before you go and tell others how to run theirs. You do your thing and I'll continue to juice my melons. Ok? 😃👍
@indoorontario,no need to get butt hurt Canada just saying plants need nutrients and it shows in the pick . Anyone who grows knows they need more than what’s trapped in soil but it’s ok ….. mellons looked dry too
@Gokou4OG, don't tell me how to present my journal. My plant is in soil and will not need nutrients for a little while yet ( if I do it will burn them ya know😃). If you actually look at the pics and read the journal you will see that I have been defoliating every 2-3 days because it is growing so vigorously. Thanks for your input but maybe you should take a good look at your diaries and not criticize other for having some fun with theirs.
