Six days old and one of the 4 OG Kush is looking stunted, it's not serious, right? Will it normalize when it grows more leaves? All four have had the same conditions.

Hi mate, Could just be a slow starter. In giver her a few days. Try not to be too heavy on the watering as this could be a possibility.

Mr_Mister One of the plants was lying down, so I stood it up and put a bit of soil near the stem. It looks like it has straightened its head almost completely. They seem stretched, so I've increased the power to 40% and lowered the LED panel to 28 cm above the plant.

Mr_Misterstarted grow question 5y ago
One of the 4 has grown slower and with stunted leaves, I've lifted it a bit so it has the same distance to the light, will it delay the whole grow? Should I keep checking the normal ones for the next steps in flowering and so on? Do I feed it the same? What advice do you give me? thxs

Not all seeds are created identical, they are all unique individuals. The smaller one should catch up soon enough, it looks healthy, so give it a chance to get established and in 2-3 weeks you will be wondering why you were stressed about it at all. The funny leaves are quite normal for cannabis and do not need to be overly concerned with. In future, plant more seeds than you need, this way if you get a "funny" seedling, you are not stuck with growing it, as you will have a spare or two. I normally start with 2-3 seeds of each strain I want to grow and only keep the best one to grow right through to harvest. Expensive yes, but I would rather have the best plants, not second rate sickly seedlings. The danger with only planting as many seeds as you exactly need, is that if any fail to germinate, this can really throw plans out of alignment, or if you get a weird seedling, then you are faced with either growing it or replanting a new seed and this also will mess up your plans too. Hope this helps,........ Organoman.

Mr_Mister I have done the apical cut on 3 of the 4 plants, I put wax on the cut to prevent infections, it's my first time with this technique. Let's hope the plants don't suffer.

Mr_Mister They keep growing well but are starting to show nutrient deficiencies. They were a couple of days with very droopy leaves, I've opened the vents in the tent so they don't get too hot. Next week I'll put them into flowering.

Mr_Mister I've had a lot of overfeeding issues, I did a flush with leachate, and watered with just water for 3 days. After that, I switched them to 12/12 to start flowering. The new shoots are very yellow, we'll see how it goes....

Mr_Mister The plants have stretched a lot this week, they seem to have recovered from the overfeeding. It took them about 15 days to start flowering since switching to 12-12. Let's hope they don't grow any more, my closet is getting too small 😩

Mr_Mister The plants are growing much more than expected, I hope they don't grow much taller, as my closet isn't that tall (160cm). They drink a lot, need to be watered every other day. Everything looks good in terms of nutrients, they seem healthy. I should have done a bit of pre-vegetation pruning, but being a newbie, I didn't do it. I'll try it next time; I don't want to remove leaves now during flowering.

Mr_Mister I’ve removed leaves and some branches under the scrog net since they weren’t getting light, and some leaves were falling off just by touching them. Everything is going very well, the leaves on the tops have a lot of resin, and with 4 plants, there are quite a few tips considering that one of them didn’t have an apical cut.

Mr_Mister The buds are starting to fatten up and the main ones are beginning to weigh down, and the branches are twisting and bending, nothing that can't be fixed with some string. Pretty strong smell, a lot of sticky resin on the buds.

Mr_Mister I needed an extra scrog since the buds are heavy and are twisting and bending the branches. Spider webs appeared on the lower branches and tiny black bugs under some leaves. It looks like a red spider. The plants were sprayed with "Plant vitality plus" from BAC, and the next day it seems there are no bugs, let's hope they don't come back.

Mr_Mister They have reached 1 meter in height not counting the pot. Watering every other day, they are drinking between 1 liter and 1.25. I'm starting with canna flush to help clean the roots since it's impossible for me to take them out of the scrog to water and drain. From now on, just water. The plant that had an amorphous start (in the back on the left) is the only one without an apical or FIM; it seems to be a bit behind in maturation compared to its sisters with apical/FIM. In about 10 days or so, I'll harvest the ones that are mature.

Mr_Mister Last week of water for root cleaning, impossible to take out of the scrog for better cleaning. I've had to add extra wires for support since the branches keep twisting and falling due to the weight of the buds. Some leaves under the scrog are brown and burned, maybe due to lack of light or nutrients; for what's left, I won't be adding any more liquid.

Mr_Mister In the end, I decided to do a root wash in the bathtub, removing the scrog; I won't do that again... One of my mistakes was too much vegetation, and for that reason, they have stretched a lot. When I took them out of the scrog, the branches couldn't support the weight of the buds, and they all fell down, plus the plants are 1 meter tall without counting the pot, very complicated to handle. After the root wash, I left it for 4 days without watering, I'll water it a couple more times only with distilled water and let it dry to cut in 3-4 days.

Mr_Mister Very good strain, ideal for SOG and SCROG, it branches out a lot and grows a lot during the cycle change. I didn't have many problems with them, just a lack of nutrients because the plant was asking for flowering since I kept it in vegetation for too long, rookie mistake. After that, the branches outside the SCROG couldn't hold the weight of the buds, and the plants were hard to manage. My first grow tent, light, and indoor harvest, happy with the LED light and Hydro Mars tent, the harvest has paid off. Waiting for the next harvest to gain experience and avoid some mistakes I made. Overall quite happy, central buds are thick, heavy, and full of resin. In the end, it was 235 grams dry from the 4 plants, about 60 grams per plant, happy with the amount.
