Yakandi The summer growth begins! In this diary I take pictures every 3 days.
The plastic cilinder helps preserve the humidity and protects the seedling from insects.
Yakandi The seedlings are loving the summer temperatures. A bamboo chopstick prevents birds from eating the young plants. Once the plant is taller than the stick, it can be taken off. Birds prefer young tender plants.

Yakandi Now it's growing so fast really, overnight 😯
I spray them with potassium soap and neem oil, epik, propolis and bacillus thuringiensis on regular basis and alternating them every 3-4 days.

Yakandi The plants keep growing really fast. So far they've been trimmed and slightly defoliated at the bottom. I've also staked them because the summer wind from the northeast is starting to show up. They appreciate the support!

Yakandi This week some other rplants in the green house have started pre-flowering. The hours of light have started reducing. I will start flowering nutrients soon. She's looking strong and great!

Yakandi This week there was a heat wave due to suspension dust from the desert. The temperature went up and at the end the wind came and swept away the dust cloud. I had to wash the leaves with water.. The wind came very strongly, I had to put up extra strings on the bamboo sticks and plants.
Yakandi There was a wind storm again. Some of the leaves got winds burnt ☹️After the wind it's been very hot too. I'm planning to cover up the green house soon to give the pants some rest during any coming extreme heat wave.

Yakandi This week is very tough due to the high temperatures. We have orange warning for the whole week 38C max 29C min.. I'm using over 2 litres of water a day watering twice a day. They suffered extreme winds last week and extreme heat this week.. Hope they'll be ok! 😥

Yakandi The wind has started to go back to normal. It was very challenging. The plants suffered a bit of wind burn, I hope they can recover from the stress... I moved them to a slightly repaired place, but I can't move every plant cause they're attached to the irrigation system..

Yakandi The girls continue growing and flowering in spite of the extreme wind and heat wave... They're really good girls. I think they are a bit behind the rest of the plantation for some reason. Love them ❤️

Yakandi I'm very happy with this week's progress. The wind has stopped and the temperature is perfect. They're the tallest plants in the garden and they eat a lot of nutrients! The smell is citric and absolutely great.

Yakandi This week was very tricky. We've had a massive hot wave again, this time temperatures reached 40C. I used umbrellas to protect the plants from getting their tops burnt, it wasn't easy due to the wind. Umbrellas also helped keep the soil slightly moist. I've been watering them twice a day cause if I don't, the air at night is so hot that they become dangerously wilted in the morning 🤒

Yakandi Last week was very challenging cause someone came to help me fix the greenhouse roof and he dropped a metal beam on 2 plants (2 Chempie and a few other varieties too... He also knocked over 6 pots that were germinating and all the seeds died) It was a big trauma. I gave them superthrive. At the end of the 2nd week after this I noticed they didn't fatten much, only the one which wasn't attacked by my friend became quite fat, as expected
This plant has the potential to become very very tall. So it's perfect if one wants to grow a massive plants. Not super resistant to disease. The amount of resin is impressive.

Yakandi Chempie was a lovely tall lady. Total manicured & dry weight was 180g. I think it's not bad considering 2 plants got stressed a lot due to a metal beam falling on them and breaking many branches towards the end of flowering stage. The plants also suffered from extreme heat stress (39C) and wind stress for a few weeks, so I must say they're quite resistant. They reached 1.5m in a 20 L pot, so imagine if you have a massive pot.. They must become truly massive!
@jonesy_grows, thank you!
Yes, I think big bud makes a difference. Also, every 3rd day or so I water with only calmag and Brutal Buds pk only (0.6g per L). That and big buds really increase the density and the weight
Vos plantes ont l'air en très bonne santé. L'air frais et la lumière naturelle du soleil feront prospérer vos plantes. Meilleurs voeux pour le reste de votre culture et profitez des récompenses de la récolte. 😎👌
Que maravilha ✌️
Boa sorte no cultivo e aproveita o desenvolvimento 👍
E no final que tenhas uma grande colheita 🌱🌱
