xTherapy_Growingx My first grow..Been growing these plants over 6 weeks and still no pistils yet..they look great..really healthy, no deficiency’s or nothing ..one plant is growing in nature’s auto flower living soil and it’s double the size of the other 2 that I feed nutes to. I’m a beginner so I don’t kno what to expect but as an auto flower I thought they only vegged for 4-5 weeks tops..

Is this normal for an auto flower to still have not flowered after 6 weeks? This is my first grow and my plants are looking amazing I think but I’ve seen that they start flowering after 4 weeks? Am I missing something here??

Flowering time is always a range. Usually 4-6 weeks but I don't panic until 8 weeks if they haven't started to flower. Luckily it looks like at least one picture looks like the start of flowering. As for yield I think you will do OK. The first Critical Purple I grew produced over 50 grams (about 2 oz) each. I gave more light to force a more compact plant and did LST to keep as many flowering sites at the same height on top, sort of like sea of green method and was rewarded with many, big buds on top. With your grow I think you'll be faced with a decision. I'm sure you will get a good number buds on top but you'll have to decide if you keep the others that develop lower. You can trim the lower ones so the plant focuses on the top buds or just let everything grow and get some popcorn nugs.

I’m using Fox Farm Cultivation Nation Micro Grow Bloom..I been following their feed schedule but 1/3-1/2 the recommended dose but didn’t start it until the 4th week becuz I’m growin in FF soil (OF at bottom, HF at top) is my dosing fine or should I use what they say?

FF definitely overdoes it on their feed schedules in my opinion. This one doesn’t look too bad tho. I run their big bloom and tiger bloom at about 1/3-1/2 the recommended rate - but they have some crazy numbers up towards 2500 ppm for growing in soil. Given that you’re doing an auto - I’d run them at half by these numbers and maybe push 2/3 dose in flower if they look like they can take it. Better to under feed than over feed.

7 weeks and not even pistils?? I’m starting to think they are just critical purple feminized photos and not autos..people are suggesting I switch to 12-12 which ima start tonight, these plants been ready idk what else to do,

Hi 7 weeks is highly unusual for an auto to not be at least preflowering. Its not super common, but sometimes the auto isn't completely a sure thing. I know some companies have a 99% accuracy...but some maybe less. Flipping is your best chance and they're good sized already so its a good idea. You should know fairly quickly and it doesn't look like a male plant. Happy growing. ✌️

xTherapy_Growingx Okay so last week I said I was gonna flip the lights to 12/12…I only did for one night becus growers choice emailed me saying critical purple autos take up to 8 weeks to flower..well it’s been 8 weeks I should of just stuck with the 12/12 ..but never the less these plants look great n I cannot wait to see what kinda flowers she pushes 💯✌️🏼

I really enjoyed growing this one. The strain gave me the same issues. It took about 16 weeks but I did top and defoliate. I too started at 20hrs and moved to 12 to induce flowering. It wasn't a heavy feeder either ;Used about half of the recommended dose. Just be patient with it.

@Dirtydapperdude, yea that’s what I been using ..about 1/3-1/2 recommended feeding dose n it seems fine with that ..it’s crazy having to switch an auto to 12/12 tho..it’s like this strain is more of a photo, but I’m happy with it, it’s just taking its good ol time ..my photo plant was faster than this.. I feel like I could of treated it more like a photo n topped it like u did..I did take off a lot of fan leaves n some lower branches ..
