Indoor 2nd generation grow

I wasn't sure I would be able to grow this year due to a recent move to SoCal apartment living, none the less I took my last 3 seeds I got from my grow last summer and popped them. They were in poor conditions for the first 3 - 5 weeks and I was ready to just give up on them considering my extremely shady new patio. However thanks to prime day I was able to get a decent budget indoor set-up. Late start tracking the grow but I am excited to see if I can take 3 plants that started very poorly into some petit quality buds.

Began LST on my plants. Tied them down to achieve an even canopy and increase the number of top bud sites. My goal is to flower them early and keep them small. I've noticed smaller plants seem to produce higher quality flower. If I get a male I will allow it to pollinate the females, as I would love to mix these genetics and obtain enough seeds to do a couple, sea of green grows. Note: Fungus gnats have found there way into the tent from one of my houseplants, added traps

Removed a few more fan leaves that were either blocking bud sites or unideal for photon absorption after LST was applied. Good growth is coming in, plants are starting to look more bushy compared to the standard christmas tree shape. Lowered the light an inch as some lower bud sites were too far away. Fungus gnat traps are working well. Applied some fish fertilizer for the last week of veg, 5-1-1.

Didn't mess with the plants too much this week. Besides watering and adding 3 more gnat traps I left them alone. Next week will be the last week of veg as I'll start changing the light cycle slowly an hour a day until we are at a 12-12 light cycle.

Implemented the ScrOG. Will continue to bend branches to expand the canopy. Changing to a 12-12 light cycle, flower time! Plants are looking a little pissed, I think it's because of the subpar tap water I've been using. Where's my reverse osmosis water filter at? The PPM of my tap water is 400, I don't even want to know the pH and whatever else is in there. Will be switching to purified water from here on out. Very possible this grow will turn into a seed round depending on the sexing. Only the cream & cheese 1:1 is feminized the others are normal 2nd generation. I'm hoping The White OG is male so it crosses its absurd THC production trait to Purple Punches intense body euphoria properties, and to Cream & Cheese 1:1 medicinal trait of high CBD production.

One week into flower and I am bittersweet to see that Purple Punch and The White OG are both males. Cream & Cheese 1:1 is my only female, definitely going for seeds this round. Fungus gnats are disappearing slowly, I treated the soil with a diluted hydrogen peroxide solution to kill larvae and other bad bacteria. This grow has turned into a circus due to my move in the middle of it. Excited to farm a bunch of seeds and start a proper SoG grow next with more elite nutrient regiments.

Fungus gnats are annoying, like really annoying. But hopefully they are finally under control. Idk this grow is no bueno from the start is was an issue. Fed the lady and leaving the males in the tent because I have nowhere else to put them. Due to light cycle problems I am going to let them both pollinate the female and have two crosses going. I won't know which seeds are which but I'll have a mixture of cream & cheese 1:1 x Purple Punch, and cream & cheese 1:1 x The White OG.

Cream & Cheese 1:1 is not looking good. Repotted in coco coir and worm castings with a perlite top layer to deter fungus gnats. Collected pollen from The White OG and Purple Punch.

I won't be breaking any records with this one. My plant looks screwed up but after about a week and a half after repotting the tops of the colas are looking a bit more green. Hopefully we will only see improvement from here.

I am feeding her with foxfarms tiger bloom every other watering. She is looking rough but still hanging in there, early problems never fully went away but health has improved. Hopefully I will get a decent amount of seeds.

Buds are starting to come in despite the sickly presentation. Some of the buds do look swollen with seed production. Feeding with tiger bloom every other watering. She seems to be going through water quicker.

She is still looking little rough, I have been harvesting a few seeds here and there. She is jam packed with seeds, the buds are not going to be the best so I may pull her out early to get a better light cycle going for the northern light autos I have going in the same tent. I have already gotten enough seeds so I'm going to pull her early next week. I don't think the buds will be worth it. So this has turned into a 100% seed run and I do have some new genetics. I have officially created my own strains. No names yet but here are the crosses; 1) The White OG x Cream & Cheese 1:1 2) Purple Punch x Cream & Cheese 1:1

About halfway through the grow I knew I would be sacrificing this round for seeds. I am very happy I did it, I ended up with over 200 seeds off that tiny plant. Although Im sure some seeds made it into the wrong bag due to the difficulty of controlling pollen. I should have two new genetics to grow. I haven't been able to find this cross online so I believe I am the first to do it! Very excited to try growing them, I mixed a medicinal powerhouse with a THC monster.
