Buds are starting to come along nicely. They certainly smell fantastic. One plant ended up being male, but really that was for the best as I needed more room in the grow tent. I know it probably won't be the biggest yield, but for my first grow I feel pretty good about how it's been going. 😁
I just switched to 18 hrs light schedule this past week. I am trying to decide whether or not I should make the switch to flowering this week or wait longer. What does everyone think?
Hi,
They will at least double in size when you flip. So estimate if they will fit
your space if they doubled right now.
You can flip anytime but the longer you do veg the bigger the end result will be. Hope this helps.
Hi everyone, I was thinking about getting a booster for my last couple of weeks of flowering. I feel like I probably have at least 4 weeks left so I am trying to think ahead. Is it wise to use a booster for like cha ching or overdrive with tiger bloom?
Hi @Tamaram! Yes you can increase resin production and make buds fatten up, but be careful with the doses and don't forget to give a good 10-15 days flush before harvesting. "Big Bloom", "Tiger Bloom", and "Cha Ching" can be used until the very last days of flowering (before the flush). FoxFarm has a feeding schedule on their website, I'd recommend to start with 1/2 of what is written there. Hope this helps, keep us up-to-date and happy growing!
@BeefWellingtons, you are definitely right on pollen and it's ability to travel. I have actually thought of this and terminated the poor fella already. I do hate to kill a plant of any kind though. It is indeed a bummer.
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, considering their current size, how high do you think I should place the net? Also, in the beginning, I only had two T5s and now I have three so the growth has been much faster. I didn't really like the T5s at the beginning (they were a gift), but they are growing on me.
not to be a bummer, and I am a newbie, but I've heard just a tiny bit of that Male pollen on your clothes/fingers/hair, etc. is all it would take to mess up those ladies. I would reconsider putting it in the trash now before an accident happens. It could blow in through an open window or come in on a fly. I've read that if the wind is right pollen has traveled from Morrico to Spain.my 2 cents

7-9wks. is generally what most flowering times are, but some plants can stretch on another week or two. Trichomes are your ticket to harvest, if you haven't already; read into that and invest in a jewelers loupe. I pick when they're cloudy with maybe 5-10% amber colored, but that's my preference as I prefer a more energetic high than couch lock.
Lol I love your diary title!
Oh btw you could still top her also, cut that very center top set of leaves and stem and shell split and give you a flatter base also. It will also slow the growth a tiny bit and maybe give you a touch more time to do any other training or things youd like.

Depending on how you train and trim your plants it's possible....but I seriously doubt it. Looks like a 2x2xwhatever height tent, IMO....that size is good for 1 or two plants.
Do some research on scrogging, this may be your ticket to keeping your grow space the fullest. Topping/ Main Lining will take you only so far in that endeavor.
I like to think anything is possible. However, you are correct the tent is 2X3X4. I had only intended on having two, but I got nervous and germinated too many. I wasn't expecting it to go so well. I plan to give at least two away. I am pretty experienced in pruning many different varieties of plants so I am hoping this knowledge will transfer. We will just have to see how it goes! Thank you for the input!
