~ FASTBUDS CHEMDAWG AUTOFLOWER~ 'The history of the Chemdawg strain starts in the early 90s where a group of cannabis breeders from Colorado were following a band on tour and took some of their weed with them, they had named this weed “chem bud” due to the unique chemical and diesel flavors. When they got to one of the shows, they sold a couple of grams to a group of friends who quickly realized those were some special buds and, lucky for them, the buds had a couple of Chemdawg seeds (before they actually knew what they were) which they stored. When one of the friends, who was also a cannabis grower, went back to his home on the East Coast, he germinated some of the seeds and started selecting the best phenotypes to continue developing those genetics even further. As you may know by now, his effort paid off, and soon enough there were two versions of this strain going around, one was Indica-dominant and the other was a Sativa-leaning hybrid. I used Jiffy peat pellets which I soaked in de-chlorinated water that I added 0.25 tsp/g of SuperThrive to and then ph'd the solution to 6.0 @ 80℉, after which I placed the seed directly into the pellet and placed it in a covered germination tray. I kept the temperature in the tray at 80℉ with a RH of 92% and crossed my fingers! 🤞🏼 7/4- 🎇BOOM🎇 We have life...I'm a father! Seriously though, she broke ground today! I'll keep her in the covered tray until she sprouts her first 'real' leaves, then move her out and under the UnitFarm UFS3000 200w LED that I'm using for germination. 7/5- Day Two! I checked her today and she's looking great. I made sure that her pellet was still moist and read her a bedtime story. 😁 7/6- Day Three and today I checked on her and observed that she had roots sticking out of the peat pellet already. I went ahead and planted her into her 5g fabric pot filled with pre-amended coco/perlite. Before placing her into the pre-moistened medium, I coated the damp peat pellet with Xtreme Gardening's Myco's Root Enhancer and sprinkled some into the hole she was placed in. After planting her, I lightly watered her in with a couple of ounces of de-chlorinated water with 1 tbsp/g unsulfured molasses added and then ph'd to 6.2 @ 78℉, then placed her in the tent under the UnitFarm UFS3000 LED light. 7/8- Today I added 2ml/g of Botanicare CalMag+ to her water as I've found through experience that with coco and especially LED lights, CalMag is necessary. She continues to remain healthy, with good color and vigor and is approximately 1.5" tall now with her second set of 'true' leaves just starting to develop! 😎👍🏼 7/10- Well I'm confident that all is well with this girl and all that's left to do now is give her optimal conditions (water, air temp/RH, feedings) and it should be smooth sailing from here on out! I always stress a little the first week, until the seedlings have established their roots and are starting to really take off, then I can relax and enjoy the grow! Thanks for stopping in!
