Stretched a bit during seeding. Mist have wanted light faster than I thought. Anyway, started with small amount of nutes last night and seedling strength light. Also did root drench with piranha prior to putting in buckets.
The guy on the left was a younger seedling since I killed one last week and replaced with the backup seedling I thankfully still had. Looks a couple days behind but all good. Very happy to still have 2 of them. Gotta be more careful moving stuff around sheesh. Keep on keeping on.
Plants had a nice week. Started LST with the rocks. Pruning a few veg leaves blocking new nodes. Buddy sent me a Gelato clone so we'll see how it fairs with the peyote. Peyote gonna be what I concentrate on. Anyway, another week or two of veg. Well see.
End of week 3 went well. Started defoliation and kept up LST with the rocks. Will prune sometime in next couple days then give some rest before possibly triggering flower end of next week. Like their growth structure so far.
Great weak. Grew do fast was hard to keep up the pruning and training. I will trigger flowering the tomorrow. Plants response very well to mild pruning and shaping. Very happy so far. Transition week here we come.
Good week. Pruned hard and put up SCROG net for LST instead of using rocks. Starting to stretch.. Was and is a little warm in tents. Had to put ice packs in the insulation. Looking forward to watching flowering.
Is this a PH issue showing or nutrient deficiencies (possibly caused by bad PH anyway, at 6.2 atm higher from earlier in week.)? Possibly magnesium deficiency, looking at pics. Anyone confident? Been hot in tents as well but water temps kept decent about 68-70.
Good weak of stretch, little hotter than I'd like but no problem. Did the last major hard pruning/defoliation... Plant on the left showed some nutrient deficiencies but I replaced the solution just in case. Shouldn't miss a beat. Looking forward too seeing some site action next week.
Good week, a lot of stretch. Starting to see good bud sites. Hopefully got the lack of nutes under control. They seem happier. Did a little more defoliation, were still too crowded.
Bud sites looking nice and big, and plants stopped stretching. Next few weeks will tell the tale. These boys eat water and nutes pretty well. Going to do a little defoliation on these guys to open some blocked buds but that's about it.
Good week. Buds are selling and trichomes are shining on leaves. They grew taller than I expected and barely fit the tent. Should be a good harvest because of that though, amount wise. Anticipating an exciting last few weeks.
End of week 6 went well. Temps are cooler, perfect to finish up flowering. Trichomes are looking good on leaves buds starting to round out. Couple weeks left. Getting excited.
End of week 7 went well. Seeing fair amount of red hairs on the left guy(close up is from right plant) Going to flush left plant in a couple days.... Prolly start flushing all at some point this week. Depending on when I see some amber trichomes. Almost time.... Chugging water... Just a note.
End of week 8 went well. Buds continued to swell with some more hairs turning red. The left plant has been flushing for 4 days. It has about 10-30 percent Amber trichomes depending on location. So gonna start harvesting it next couple days. Guy on right just keeps going, some more red hairs and about maybe 5-10 percent Amber trichomes. Prolly start flushing today. Harvest near the end of week 9. So two phenotypes showing, we'll see which is which at harvest. Good times.
I'm happy with what I see regarding trichome coloration, so this was the flush week. Nothing new to note except two phenotypes are showing. Will compare in harvest images. Finishing up pruning for drying and will post those images this week.
Good size and dense buds. I rocked out past few days on the plants. Plant #1 or the one on the left in the tent was smaller, denser with redder hairs but was also ready almost a whole week before plant two. Plant #2 or the one on the right in the tent had bigger, more airy buds but might be stronger... Not sure yet. Definitely more upptly from the second plant. Both strong enough to satisfy most.
Looking good!! I was just wondering if that 5.2 pH was correct? Do you change the pH any going from veg to flower? I'm just about to finish my first successful RDWC grow (had been doing coco). My first try was with a Sour Diesel. It was a monster, it took up half a 4x4 tent all by itself. At about week four of flower it just suddenly wilted, within 48 hour that plant was dead and already smelling like hay!! Broke my heart. I never did figure out what happened. Anyway, I've got a Blimburn Cafe Racer that's at week 8, still got a little to go.
Anyway, you got a great looking setup. I thought maybe we could compare notes. Take care and happy growing!
@mageman314, Hey Bud, I got to be honest. The two fields I don't update properly are the water intake and PH. Since I started using advanced nutrients PH perfect line, I really haven't managed it unless I see an issue. That being said, I decided to check the past couple days. It seems to range between 5.8 and 6.4 depending on how much water to nutrient ratio is there. My apologies for the confusion, been letting it auto populate.
