I just stuck the seed into a RootIt! Cube and ripped the corner off to cover the hole and about 3 or 4 days later it popped.
Pretty much transplanted it into the first mini henpy straight away coz I could see that tap root coming out the bottom.
Dipped it in some micorhyzae product that I’ll look up but got as a sample so really can’t remember and they gave me loads then watered it in.
Havnt bothered setting up the drip sys yet as there is no point at all.
Besides I have a SHIT TON of weed to process for my standards so I’m kind of dealing with that situation!
Haha
Not that more veriaties is ever going to be a problem with the amount I vape!
UPDATE - SUNDAY 11th JULY
OK so the Glue is now in the really small hempy and I bothered to link up the auto waterer so I don’t have to bother topping it up.
Also I’m interested in high frequency fertigation because the amount of air coco holds.
I am going to compare it to soil growing and a once a week water for the soil once it’s in its final pots.
I believe they are all 25L pots but the hempies are square, as before, and the soil grows will finish up in big 25l round pots.
One will have to be grown in the small tent unless I put up the 2x1 and really squeeze more plants in aswell as pay more for electricity as I would be using more than double what I am now…
Also the room isn’t much bigger than the tent so I’m wondering about the extraction ducts etc and if it will all fit.
I know when I measured to buy the 2x1x2m there was a little too room to spare but that’s it. I would have to enter the grow from the door of the tent.
I dunno yet…
Update - Sunday 11th July
All seems to be going well. Some of the seeds I shoved in the cubes too deep and didn’t want to wait for them to push their way up.
When I peeked inside I could see the seed had split and so I cut some of the top of the cube off and removed the corner of the cube I had stuck in.
UPDATE - SUNDAY 18TH JULY
All is going well so far. Having a humidistat connected to the humidifier makes things so much easier and speedier. No more messing around trying to get the perfect humidity. I noticed, as soon as I installed that, things started growing a lot quicker.
I need to refill the hempies with slightly higher and different concentrations of the nutes and bang it in my drip reservoir.
UPDATE - SUNDAY 25th July
I was thinking yesterday how when I started growing I was getting tiny amounts of bud to supplement what I was buying and used to get real jealous or envious of people who had excess amounts of medicine around because of growing your own kind of takes the value out of it.
In the eyes of the law of my country I am breaking the misuse of drugs act by possessing and cultivating cannabis. On the other hand, I have a constant supply of really nice weed and I’m constantly getting different flavours even within the same batch (some strains more than others).
I guess I’m just trying to say if you have just started and want to learn, it’s not that hard. It’s gone from me pulling less than an oz of a plant to way more than two per plant. Hopefully even more with the right timing for transplant and topping etc.
I fimmed by gorilla glue plant in the wrong plant so it’ll have two annoying sets of leaves above where the main colas split. I can get rid of it later it just takes way more time for it to start growing from the side branches. Then I can tie them down and probably top again. I dunno. I usually leave it to having 4 mainlines sticking out and then I tend to get branching from then once they are tied down.
The auto water time is 13s every 3h. Tbh I thought this would be too much for them but they are taking it fine. Either that or I’m just REALLY slowly filling both res’ in the hempies. I figured a more constant irrigation technique would be interesting to try out against the soil pots that get watered like once a week if that once they are big. Tbh so far so soil grow seems to be ahead in terms of speed and also looks way healthier. That’s why I’m doing two hempies and two soil grows.
The thing I love about soil is you can get so much more shit in there for the microbes fo feed on without having to flush it all through again before it goes nasty! It’s just not really worth it, I just water over some biosys once a week.
Actually that’s exactly what this plant needs at the mo I think.
Right I’m going to update the rest of my diaries, make a new one, then refill my irrigation res (otherwise known as an old paint bucket!) as shown above
Update - 9th August
All is going ok in the grow, I was a little worried about the hempy systems with the auto watererer but iv found a work around for that now so it’s fine.
Update - All is good in the hood as they say. This plant has a really weird structure where I fimm'd it wrong and it took ages to recover and then grew weirdly so I just tied the whole thing down and then the branches that grew off of it.
Update - 26th August
Again, same as the others really. Seem to be doing really well with the lower popcorn buds removed and small branches removed to let in more light.
That’s about it really…
Regards
RR
Update
Ok so all it coming along A LOT SLOWER than all my other plants. It’s really quite annoying.
All my other plants are basically ready so I think I’m going to have to do some shifty shifting.
I think I’m going to swap the gorilla glue and the mimosa cake so that I can harvest and hang in the tent for the f it at week or so. Not entirely sure when I’ll do this but I think that makes the most sense. It will have an impact on the gorilla glue I would imagine as it won’t be under the 300 light but if I do the other plants soon I can then move it back before it finishes flowering as it’s going so slow and will only slow down with slightly less light.
Update
Loving it to be honest. This is a huge plant for what I’m used to growing. It was massively stunted as well at the beginning. I totally forgot and was perusing the early weeks of my diary.
She seems to have recovered lol. Definitely the most sativa plant I have personally grown. Very wide intermodal spacing and thin leaves. I miss heavy indica’s but it’s ok because next run is all heavy indica’s so it should be good!
Update - week 12
This is definitely the longest growing strain iv ever grown for an auto. Its still developing and is nowhere near where the Mimosa cake is even though its a week younger. Oh well, hopefully the effects will live up to the name. I have also ordered my AutoPot system now. I got a 4 plant one but if I need to expand can buy more. It wouldnt really be scalable as the cost wouldnt really be worth it but for my 1x2x2m tent it should be fine and dandy. Will probably stagger the layout and then put 2 or 3 gal fabric pots in between to create a SOG sort of thing. Lots of littler plant rather than monstors. I am still going to drill holes all around the rim of the autopots so that I can still do my tying down. Or actually more likely I will buy some more trellis net, however, i am slightly afraid if I do that I will not be able to access the grow!
Oh yeah, I also started flushing this glue today as its getting to a stage where it is developing now. It will finish up in the next 2 weeks. I would start more plants but annoyingly I need to completely empty the room in order to put the new tent in. then I can go from there.
Really beautiful cultivar this was. I really enjoyed growing it and everything about it was huge!
Even when I went to go scavenge the grow media the roots were just crazy out of control while taking up the whole 25l pot! Amazing especially for an auto!
I received a manual rosin press from my new sponsors Devil Press.
I will therefore be making some extra content with reviews and comparisons as I am awaiting the receival of the Devil Press DS2000 so that I can review it against the DP9 and ask the question; Is it worth the extra £269!
We will have to see but I am incredibly happy with the DP9 so far.
I havnt been weighing what iv put in OR taken out.
However, I do know I have a few small glass pots that single serve jam came in at a bnb!
I love the scraping of rosin from the grease proof paper, it collects so well when you put it all (including the metal tool) in the freezer. I would ultimately like to have a slab of marble or slab of metal I can use as a cold slab to collect rosin on!
I am also obviously going to make some live rosin from the dry ice sift hash from the trim! I got such a decent amount of trichome heads last run but I always wait for at least two grows worth of trim before it’s worth ordering the dry ice.
I can’t wait to make dry ice hash and pres it to rosin. It should capture actual terpene profile of the plant when it was growing. And it’s SO Fuelly already let alone when it’s concentrated!
I’m getting my carried away but iv definitely been bitten by the extract bug!
Anyway, this cultivar is extremely fuelly tasting. Very tart and sharp, slightly citrussy. A REALLY interesting terp profile and totally not what I expected! I love it!
This grow was a triumph. I conquered all the plants I grew really. The fresh growing buds were all also so beautifully colourful. I don’t quite know how all of FastBuds flowers have been so beautifully selected for colours but they are a delight to grow!
Also this grow will always be the one that allowed me to form a small business relationship with devil press due to the fact I really like and support their products for home rosin collection.
I have been using the DP9 manual press today and although I got some beautiful mimosa cake shatter and some lovely gooey straw-nana. I just wrapped them up in a small ball inside a small wrap of grease proof parchment paper and a tiiiny glass single serving jam jar, in the freezer.
I love it, this light has just boosted terp profiles from the last run with the old lights.
I will be comparing the DP9 to the DS2000. This, I think, is a pneumatic press that is compact and neat. It also means I can apply much more pressure without having to apply much more physical pressure!
Hey does anyone know where the dry weight section has gone and the taste icon you select like it tastes like: fuel, pine etc. Have the site moderators changed it so we don’t have the dry weight of our buds and a taste section and an effects section?
@@@@BigBudzz, she does but she is way more sativa leaning than anything j would usually grow. Iv asked them to se d me all indicators seeds this time like aghani Kush et
She sme,,s amazing but I have an orange Sherbert in flowering that's liek my favourite terp profile!
@DEVS_GENETICS, oh mate! To be honest it was one I wasn’t looking forward to as much by the looks of it as it was very sativa looking but in reality the effects do not slam me, it justs just absolutely phenomenal tasting! Very gassy and citrussy. Absolutely beautiful! I got a rosin press recently and it makes for some crazy terpy liquidy rosin! Mmm mm
