Day 7: Hi all. I hope you are well and your gardens green and fruitful?.
After a full week under this little pocket rocket of a light , the girls are responding in kind. My initial thoughts on enough light to keep them all happy has been smashed ,mashed and trashed !!!!. This has been a learning curve on l.e.d and assuming small means less powerful !!. I learnt this lesson at the expense of the little ladies as it turns out.
I had the xs1500 at full power and a good 30 inches away amd it nearly frazzled the two middle plants !!! ooops. Rhis was while they were daysbold and STILL under domes for humidity !. A fundamental error on my part ,assuming the size was somehow a concern. After seeing the damage and leeching amd realising, I removed rhe domes amd dropped the lights power to 40%( 75w!). Since doing this they have responded better and begun growing properly. This is one powerful light right here it seems. I think i may get to flower more than I initially intended with 2 only... A great start in my opinion , for the lesson alone !.
Temps in the room are ridiculously high due to heatwaves here and at 31.6Β°c , an option to remove the driver from the light and extend it from the room would be a brilliant addition amd could also benefit closet growers where any heat loss is a benefit worthy of using. The colours on the leaves are looking good for photosynthesis now they are used to the soil and I know the spectrum is taken care of too . So far looking good and starting to grow.
I was gutted that I lost 2 seeds and one of the Northern is now looking suspect but fighting so contacted the breeders following advice , I don't doubt they will endeavour to assist with this issue. Thank you to the reps on Gd for keeping an interest post sales. Makes a lot of difference. Unril next time , be well.
Hey there, Thanks so much for running a diary of our genetics π Let us know if you need any assistance, weβre more than happy to help. Happy Growing !!! π±βοΈπ΄ππΏπ³
@Ferenc,it is my 1st viparspectra so far and more than impressed for such a small unit. Seeing it cope with all 5 up to the point I moved 3 was a welcome surprise too. Can only imagine what the #ViparSpectraP4000 can do. ?.
@Ganjagrandaddy, So are you very satisfied witth the lamp? I am going to test it soon /XS2000/ however, I have been using Viparspectra since I started growing and I am pretty happy.
@HAPPY91,hi HAPPY. Welcome aboard. I will be happy at 2oz per plant on an auto tbh. Anything above thatvis a bonus.lol.
Usually grow photoperiods but the fun of autos has me hooked.
Nice to cycle through the strains too. Thanks for the positive vibes. Be safe , sane and well ..
@Rock_n_Roll_Randy,my other growbhere has same situation with the #4 banana mash. Now the biggest of the 4 growing too. It went crazy in stretch period..
@Rock_n_Roll_Randy,I have to agree there bud. Seen some right gimps produce well. Seems they wind up like springs then "pop" during final flowering cycles. Keeping my fingers crossed for shrek now. Lol . Be well
@JamMAKEcan,thanks buddy. Hard work heehee. Carrying the buckets up the ladder is graft but at the moment they are so small and behaved. Fun begins in stretch .
Incredible diary my friend, love the details and the video!
These girls are looking amazing, the first NL plant is beautiful π
Following this one closely, wish you well for the rest of the grow
Great to see an amazing UK farmer on here too! π
@Ganjagrandaddy, Gotta say my personal favourite classic has to be cheese or blue cheese! Currently looking for breeders with good cheese seeds to do a classic run with π
Wedding cake and it's crosses Are also one of my favourites, love the appearance and the smoke. That's why I had to start the diary for MAC Flurry (Wedding Cake X MAC) Cannot wait to see the results π€π€
Always good to have some NL on hand especially for me and it's medical benefits ππ
