GORILLA GIRL - Popped 1st (took about 12 hours)
NORTHERN LIGHTS CBD - Popped 3rd (over 24 hours a bit)
GSC (Bonus Seed) - Popped 2nd (about 18 hours in)
I used PLAIN TAP WATER for Germination (around 8pH).
____________________________________________________________
Update: Day 2
Sorry for no updates in a while.
Seeds germinated nicely. After they did, I placed them into these 16oz solo cups that are already dug into the final pot.
Taproots ended up going sideways and I didn't want to move them cus I was too scared of breaking them. I don't think it's anything to worry about though. I just wanted to be extra careful, because getting these seeds was a pain in the ass.
They ended up stretching a bit. I used about 35% power on these 240 watt Kingbrite lights at around 50cm. I put them to about 45% today, July 17th.
I also used a cold, wet towel to up the humidity. Humidity dropped rapidly after I opened the closet door though, but it'll ramp back up to around 60% soon. So far I'm using the wet towel as my humidifier until I get a proper one.
Using a small axial fan for air circulation. Unfortunately all fans- clip and stand fans, are occupied. The summer weather is honestly beating us up here.
Right now I'm gonna water with a handheld pressure sprayer when needed and that's it (using tap water with around 7-8pH that has been standing in the sun for 24 hours).
WILL GET BACK TO YOU GUYS IN WEEK 1 OF VEG! SEE YOU THEN!
____________________________________________________________
Update: Day 2, part 2
Okay so I just found out that wet towels can actually cause mold spores to spread, so I'm just gonna take it out of the closet. I'm probably just going to foliar spray my plants now.

Update: Day 4
The seedling tips seem a bit brown. Don't exactly know what caused it, but I have an impression that it's from the homemade compost I mixed in. I was hoping it would add some extra microbes to the soil, but I think I just overfed them a bit.
PLEASE USE PROFESSIONAL, STORE-BOUGHT COMPOST THAT'S CONFIRMED SAFE TO USE :)
(also in the adequate amount)
I've been spraying the cups when dry with a handheld pressure sprayer. Regular tap water, un-ph'ed, sat in the sun for 24 hours.

Update: Day 4, part 2
I wanted to clear some things up I mentioned at the top.
I now use a regular water bowl to add at least something to the relative humidity. I also put the lights back to around 35-38% power at 50cm away from canopy. I did this because of the browning tips.
I'm confident that the browning tips are caused by the compost, but I also want to eliminate other suspicions.
LET'S GOO, WEEK 1 OF VEG
The 3 muskies are doing nicely. I see my axial fan that I put blowing over them (I moved it from the ground to hanging on the closet bar above) has strengthened all of the stems. The GSC fell over, but I luckily placed a rubber wire on it the day before it did. Now it seems like it doesn't even need the wire anymore. The stem is strengthening up and moving away from the wire.
I will do nothing else now than wait for 3-5 nodes and transplant these girls into the larger fabric pots. I'ma keep on watering.
Day 15: Transplanted seedlings from cups to final pot. Didn't use mycorrhizae, 12 hours later that, they still look healthy and not drooping. I will want to make sure until 24 hours has passed, so I could diagnose possible transplant shock.
Day 19: yessir, no transplant shock I think. I'ma just keep on watering until the stems strengthen and until 5-8 nodes appear.
----- UPDATE - AUGUST - 6TH -----
Hello guys, sorry I couldn't post the last week's updates. I wanted to wait until I could buy my next VPN subscription. It's risky posting these things in a country like mine.
Let me give you some stats of my setup now:
* Light intensity: 47% of 240 watt maximum
* Light distance from canopy: 50cm (about 20")
I also topped my plants to the 3rd node, just right below the 4th node. They had 6 nodes, 7th was emerging. I've been using clean, dechlorinated ground water now, and I also utilized some Bio-Grow by GreenhouseFeeding.
1.5g/L of medium. I used about 16g in each pot (about 1 and a half of the blue spoon you get with buying the GreenhouseFeeding Bio line).
Also using some BioBizz Acti-Vera and Alg-A-Mic. They both serve their purpose in my grow.
* Acti-Vera provides enzymes to break down some of the top-dressed Bio nutrients.
* Alg-A-Mic will help boost the vitality of the plant after such a big, stressful change I took upon with main-lining.
Btw, water is about 7 - 7.5pH. I don't use any pH-down currently. The reason is that the plant is growing at a good pace for me, and there's no sign of nutrient deficiencies, so I'm guessing the plant is uptaking nutrients quite nicely.
----- UPDATE - AUGUST - 13TH -----
AW SNAP! The GSC's branch snapped completely in half after I tried to bend it down flat. Let this be a lesson learned for me.
Today is the 2nd tie down, from 2 colas to 4 colas. I'll wait a week until these branches have grown out and then I'll top the 4 colas into 8 colas on each plant.
I'm using plain ground water, 7pH with just 1ml of Terra-Aquatica pH-Down in my 2 liter spray bottle. The pH-Down will turn the water to around 6.3-6.6pH.
Let's wait for the 4 colas to grow out and then I'll top again! Peace
----- UPDATE - AUGUST - 16TH -----
Topped the 4 mains into 8 mains. I'll probably consider doing 16 mains too. Let's see later on.
Cya next time
----- UPDATE - AUGUST - 25TH [day 42] -----
I stripped all of the fan leaves off of the plant, which was a big mistake. I should've left at least some of them on there.
I'll just keep on watering and letting these girls run wild for another 3 weeks. On mid september, I'll flip the light schedule to 12/12.
LIGHTS ARE AT 50% from 240W.
----- UPDATE - AUGUST - 26TH [day 43] -----
I try to water every 2-3 days, but it seems like every time I do, the leaves start drooping of a sign of overwatering. I don't really care about the appearance of the leaves, as long as the roots and rhizosphere (aka roots/medium) is full of healthy microbes to help break down the nutrients of the soil.
LIGHTS ARE AT 58% from 240W.
----- UPDATE - AUGUST - 26TH [day 43] -----
The temp's gonna climb with my dimming changes. Gonna get a new humidifier soon and match the VPD for my environment, as I CAN: control the humidity, I CAN'T: control the temperature.
LIGHTS ARE AT 60% FROM 240W.
----- UPDATE - AUGUST - 29TH [day 46] -----
LIGHTS ARE AT 50% NOW FROM 240W. REDUCED DUE TO SIGNS OF LIGHT STRESS AT LEAF TIPS.
----- UPDATE - SEPTEMBER - 2ND [day 50] -----
Before the flowering period, the plants were shorter than now. I kept the plants in a 36 hour dark period and now I'm going to keep them in a steady 12/12 schedule.
The bright areas of the plant marks the cola sites.
I could immediately see some stretching on:
- Northern Lights CBD (added lots of height, can't say for sure, but it was about 3 cm [1.5inch] taller than before)
- Gorilla Girl (Not that much stretching, just a centimeter I think [0.5 inch])
- GSC (About the same as Northern Lights
I'll be feeding them BioBloom by GreenHouse Feeding on the next watering. I'll just top dress it and mix it in the soil. I think I'll also add some Worm Humus by BioBizz.
Worm Humus is rich in nutrients and it adds microbes to the soil to help break down the nutrients by GreenHouse Feeding.
----- UPDATE - SEPTEMBER - 8TH [day 56] -----
Yo yo guys, sorry for the photoshopped pics lol, got a bit into it and decided to share you guys some pics from our modelling sesh lmao
As you may have seen, the pic quality has been improved, got a new camera.
I fed them some BioEnhancer, don't remember how much, but it was definitely 1/2 to 3/4 the recommended dose. I fed my plants that because:
* I was unsure about the microbiology in the soil, so I decided to give it a banger start
* The trichoderma in the bioenhancer is a major, metal-head nutrient eater
* I use plain water with just topdressed fertilizers, so I need to make sure that the fertilizers get absorbed well by the roots
Other than that, I'm prolly leaving this auto-pilot.
----- UPDATE - SEPTEMBER - 13TH [day 61] -----
DID SOME DEFOLIATION!
I know that light also bounces off by the mylar in the tent, but I figured that direct light to the canopy is best.
Here's some info on how I defoliated my plants:
* I left a small stub from where I cut my leaves to leave it as a "support ledge" for the buds growing between the stem and the cut-off fan leaf. Though I don't know if that's entirely necessary, I just like to do it so it keeps my mind at peace.
* I viewed the canopy directly from above the plants to act as if I am the light. If I don't see any buds from above, I cut off the fan leaf above it to get some light in there.
-) * I get tired bending down between the light and the plants, so I also move a fan leaf to the side or away from the light to see if the bud beneath it gets brighter, that's how I know if I should cut off the fan leaf above it.
----- UPDATE - SEPTEMBER - 23RD [day 70] -----
All good, lights have been at nearly 60% these whole 3 weeks. Bouncing it up to 80% on the start of week 4 l. I could already have boosted the 60% to 80% earlier, but it seemed like symptoms of light stress appeared everytime I did. Though looking back at it, I think I was just paranoid, my plants could (with my 80% certainty) take 80%.
----- UPDATE - OCTOBER - 2ND [day 80] -----
All good, this week ended on around September 30th.
Don't really have anything to say, plants are looking good and I bet October is gonna start filling up the buds..
----- UPDATE - OCTOBER - 7TH [day 85] -----
Yo guys,
Used around 1.25g/liter of substrate Bio-Bloom by GreenHouse Feeding. Fed it to the plants via top-dress.
Also used 0.3g/liter water of Bio-Enhancer to add some microbes and humic acid into the substrate.
Plants are looking nice and they seem to be throwing out some density now.
----- UPDATE - OCTOBER - 8TH [day 86] -----
Yoyo
Man, the GSC is starting to lean over. I moved all of my plants further to the wall to support the GSC and moved the lights near there too. I'm using now about 90% of power from the Kingbrite 240W.
I also hate to say it, but it seems like the bonus seed, the GSC, is the one with the best bag appeal (for now), we'll see the state of each plant in harvest, dry and cure.
See you on week 6 of flower.
----- UPDATE - OCTOBER - 11TH [day 89] -----
Waddup guys, added some pics with and without flash to show the difference flash mode makes.
Other than that, trichs looking milky already... Bouta go 3-4 more weeks
LIGHTS ARE AT 100% - 240W
----- UPDATE - OCTOBER - 15TH [day 93] -----
Felt like I had to remark this... The Gorilla Girl F1 Fast Version is falling behind all the others in maturity.
I know Sweet Seeds named this a fast strain, but to all who want to try growing this strain, be prepared to go the full average flower duration, which is about 8-9 weeks.
----- UPDATE - OCTOBER - 16TH [day 94] -----
I took the Northern Lights CBD trichome picture of a leaf poking out of the bud. Since it's a leaf, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be more mature than a calyx?
Even if it is so, I'm still gonna run around 3 more weeks.
----- UPDATE - OCTOBER - 17TH [day 95] -----
Guys, the smell is STRONG.
I have my tent in my 2nd room near my office room, with the door closed and even window open for temperature and preventing smell.
With all those measures, the smell is still pushing through the grow room door to my office room.
I smelled each plant to see which one matches the smell in my office. Right now, I can tell for sure, but I think it's the smell of the Gorilla Girl.
I can't put my finger on it, but maybe the GSC gives off a little musky/skunky smell too that's floating in my office.
I'd not list this week as "Very Strong", because I think "Very Strong" is a smell that would stink up the rooms beyond my office, and maybe even more parts of the house.
But wow, imagine what 3 Gorilla Girls might have done lol
----- UPDATE - OCTOBER - 17TH (pt 2) [day 95] -----
Huh, there's no "Very Strong" option listed in the week settings. Guess I just gotta write to these comments if the smell reaches that level.
----- UPDATE - OCTOBER - 29TH [day 108] -----
Used some zip ties to pull the branches of the Gorilla Girl down. I'ma let some light get to the bottom larfy bits as I already like the density and structure of the colas up top.
----- UPDATE - NOVEMBER - 1ST [day 111] -----
LET'S GO!!! First ever proper indoor grow.
I'm really happy with the results. I got some nice dense buds from the Gorilla Girl, nice color and frost by the GSC and nice fiery orange medicinal weed by the Northern Lights CBD.
I'm really excited to dry these and put em in jars. Overall it was a smooth grow, all plants took great to mainlining, recovered at their own pace but they were still strong and came thru with some NICE buds.
I gotta give myself a pat on the back for this.
But my job is not done yet! I still need to dry and cure. If I mess those parts up, I'll have some shitty bud despite my long effort of growing. I'll be trying to keep my temps at the same ratio, 60/60 - 60% humidity, 60f - which is about 15celsius.
See ya on the strain, harvest and smoke review!
----- UPDATE - NOVEMBER - 1ST - part 2 [day 111] -----
Left in darkness before harvest for 48 hours.
Also, it's november 1st, 11/1 and the day of harvest is 111. Pretty sick coincidence.
