Just letting them do their thing atm really. I have added two chrysanthemum plants for protective co-planting for bug protection.
One seems to be doing a lot better than the other.
Oh also iv dimmed my light down to 20% ish…
UPDATE - SUNDAY 18TH JULY
Everything seems to be going ok. I need to refill the hempies reservoirs with water again but the 65 percent RH keeps them moist all the time anyway pretty much. The soil one isn't loving it so much so im going to do what I did last time and scrape away some of the wet soil around the top of the plant and replace it with really dry soil then the wet soil from below will wick up and it will dry out quicker. Thats thre plan anyway but that doesnt apply to this plant tbf!
UPDATE - I’m on my way to mainlining with four main lines at the moment. When they grow out and get tied down the offshoots will take over al create some killer colas!
Just started watching trailer park boys again and it’s well funny some of their grow hacks and just some of the myths by hey include about growing. Ah such jokes.
It’s so nice to be able to relax and know that even if I completely screw up this harvest which it doesn’t look like I’m going to, I have enough medicine to see me through till probably the end of the next grow. Getting a grow ahead is always good because then you can have the patience to actually let it dry and cure properly.
What are people’s thoughts on boveda packs? Iv been using them and I think they are good. They don’t eliminate the need for burping but they def speed up the curing process and with no stealing of terps or anything. Great product I think
UPDATE - TUES 27TH JULY
Im scared to say something isnt quite right with these hempies that are on drippers. iv been doing little and often do you thiunk maybe i should switch it up to my old watering pattern so a lot, not as often? or just ride it out a bit longer? anyone who is following this please leave a possible cause in the comments section.....that'd b super usefull.
something is totally fucked up here, im thinking of cutting my losses. I have shit loads of seeds so its no great loss. I would switch it to a normal soil grow!
Update - 9th August
Ok so same as my other diaries really. The inkbird environmental controls, although they could have SOME slightly more cannabis dedicated machinery, get major love from us. That’s what keeps everything running at the right temperature and humidity and the fact I can check through an app anywhere in the world and actually control what’s going on rather than just monitoring it is pretty cool.
By the way, my MARSHYDRO TSL-2000 is still only using 75% of its capacity and that’s probably too much for veg.
Update - 13th August
All good. Planted a chrysanthemum in the same pot as I’d run out of space and they are great for natural pest deterrents.
Added some ecothrive charge and have been adding it as a top dress.
UPDATE - All is well tbh, just hurt my tow so thats a bit of a problem bending down to do stuff but they are starting to take off now which is a relief. The two coco hempies irrigation system got all green and nasty where I hadnt been cleaning it. I have black tubing thats the same diameter to illl try that with the other spare one I bought thats actually branded and not a Chinese rip off!
Update - 23rd August
So nothing major happening in the grow. Just waiting for those buds to develop now!
One thing of note is if you put together an auto watering system make sure you don’t use clear tubing as it goes mouldy and green and gets clogged up.
I exchanged it for some black tubing of the same size and all is good.
Just awaiting some fat buds now!
Update - same as others really all is good as long as I irrigate every other day.
I just can’t wait to set up my next gravity fed system, pot in pot in pot hydro system. It does it all for you and is significantly cheaper than the auto pot system!
Am continuing to flush. Have been away from the site for a couple weeks so am catching up…Am just waiting for those trichomes to cloud up and look even more white and frosty!
Update
I think these are the fattest buds iv grown to date tbh. They are so wide it’s crazy. I defoliate quite heavily today on this plant as the canopy was getting crowded and yellow anyway so I simply removed them.
Looking good and seems to be flushing a little smoother than the soil plants but that is as expected really due to the coco’s air holding capacity.
I’m thinking of getting the 4 plant auto pot system for my next grow. It is precisely what I was going to build so it seems logical just to buy it. It’s not THAT expensive but I will have to swap out my two tent system for a single tent that actually takes up all the space. I think I will be able to place another few small autos on the edge of where the light is. I will have to add all my other lights in a row down the side of where the tsl 2000 is.
Have not smoked yet unfortunately. Just hanging in the drying cupboard along with the orange sherbert. Both smell extraordinary but I think I prefer the smell of the orange sherbert but this one does smell beautiful also. So sweet but skunky. Amazing. Really looking forward to these buds grown under a more powerful light.
I must say, I really liked the output from my new light. I honestly think it really improved my grow.
It actually reminds me of when I changed from growing under a CFL to LED. It really stepped up the quality of the cannabis I am harvesting.
Now that I have cut the other two pla
@DoDrugs420,MINE! ALL MINE! MWAHAHAHAH! Oh and my friends lol sorry, just had to rub it in a little lol. She is one of the ones im looking forward to the least in effect but the most in flavour.
@Legendaryseedthumb, He has a timelapse where he uses the system in a tent to grow these bean things and its CRAZY their vigour and how little he has to do. Its worth a watch, just click on his username after you've watched the other and go to videos then use the search and search the one you were just watching but just a few key words and they will both pop up
@Toastdtoast,yeah respect, I appreciate that. I find if I hang them for a couple days then pop them in jars for a while (a good few hours) it draws out the moisture from the stems and inner buds so I can hang them again and it kind of saves the terps a bit. either way, I end up with fire like you say so all is good. Luckily I will actually be able to use my 60x60x80cm to dry for the next run as I want to save every little molecule of terps from the blueberry plants!
@Rabidreject, Thats why we're all here though fam to make mistakes and learn from them! Like Bob Ross said, happy accidents lol. A couple grows i did something similar, and I've found that if I took too much off for a slow dry I just jar them up a little bit before I should, check them twice as much and separate the buds when necessary. Alot of people will tell you not to because of how easily it can mold but if you have the time to check it every 2-3 hours then you should be ok, its a last ditch effort to save the terps lol. Either way should still be some 🔥. Happy growing 🤪
Dam brother she is looking ligit fire right there congrats. I just started 2 of these cultivars myself. I member last year they had the strawberry pie which was great for concentrates. They jus didnt catch up with the bud weight. But this cultivar from the various different dairies I've seen seem to have bulked up the bud weight alot more then the S-B pie. An urs look like they are bulking up nicely. Are the buds more fluffy/spongy or dense?
@FrostyBlaze420,haha yeah the stuff stinks. It was a British staple for a looonng time. Absolutely reeks though. Yeah the barneys one is the one that I grew out Also. Very strong quick growing plant. Was nice but I prefer autos. They are so variable but it’s all good coz it’s like a bit of a surprise. Love it!
@Rabidreject,
Oh man I used to have this blue cheese cultivar from barneys farm an it would grow jus fantastic bud man shit got u fried but smelled like a dam gym locker /BO everytime u wud break it up lmao. I actually was jus going threw my seeds last week an I think I seen some I had in the stash lol.
@FrostyBlaze420, erm these buds are slightly squeezable as first where your squeezing the outside leaves bud then soon as you get to the bud its nice and compact. I even prized it apart some so I could check for bud rot and the such likes but cant see anything bad just frost frost frost. I am currently growing her next to an orange sherbert cultivar and this one would be much better for extracts, I think, as it has way more surface area and way more trichomes on the leaves than the orange sherbert plant. I just took two macro photos of both so you can see whats going on and the straw-nana def is more leafy surrounding the buds. I hang my plants in the normal ambient air temp/humidity because, quite frankly, I have nowhere else and my setup needs shuffling! I imagine I am going to need another light also...Its funny, the one plant I thought would be most indica dominant turned out to be the most sativsa dom plant iv ever grown, in terms of how she looks (obviously I havn't tested her yet). The gorilla glue auto is incredibly sativa, I guess I was thrown by the name. Seems like a strange genetic make up to give a plant with couch lock characteristics. Oh well, luckily I have some kushes coming up for the next round for the punch to the face each night to sleep and berry flavours for the taste as I havnt smoked blueberry or blackberry in a looooooong time. there was a phase when I couldnt buy much else other than blue cheese so itll bring back faint memories of that.
@DEVS_GENETICS,yeah man she smells beautiful and looks like she’s been dipped in frost or frozen in a deep freeze or something. Smells beautifully sweet. I can’t sense the banana yet but I inagine that it will come out in the cure hopefully. I’m happy with the new light though, I must admit. I’m just going to await the clouding of the trich’s fully. I would rather it Is more of a sedating stone so am leaving it for a while along with my orange sherbert. I think they will be harvested quicker than the mimosa cake. That’s about a week or so away. Mind you I said that a week ago!
