So, after my last catastrophe, 4 weeks non stop rain followed by a heat wave, most of the crop ended up as compost, and my rescued buds smell like hay, which I believe is caused by too rapid drying..ie it was over 30 degrees C. Fortunately plan B was brewing up in my baby tent, the rag tag remnants of numerous slug attacks on my outdoor propagation efforts, I had to top them numerus times to prevent maxing out my 1.0x0.60x0.60 starter box, so now they're in the big tent, re-potted and let rip. I let them settle in for 2 weeks and have just flipped 12/12 2 days ago and given a light defoliate.
After a feed last Thursday, plain ph'd water on Friday, these ladies have been left alone, with impressive results, little vertical stretch and lots of side ways. They had a feed today, Monday, so I'll water tomorrow and leave until Friday, seems to work. hopefully I be flushing the little cheese auto next week and free up some space for the fat ladies to expand
So, I been watching YouTube gubbins on 'source and sink', or 'supply and demand', concerning defoliation, basically grasping the idea that buds and light green leaves are sinks(demanding) and the big darker green leaves are the solar panels, ie source(supply), and that the buds don't have big leaves so cannot efficiently photosynthesise. So in my mind, let rip as nature intended and my jungle in a box comes to realisation. The RQS cheese auto is in final stages of flush and will be evicted end of this week, leaving some much needed breathing space. And for my 10cents worth....CO2 crisis??? WHAT IS GREEN AND THRIVES ON CO2?? dumb bastards can't put 2&2 together. Peace, keep it green... you & I know it😉
The RQS cheese auto has finally been chopped and evicted and smelling lovely. The RQS Legendary OG punch(FIM'd) seems to be reaching for the sky, the 2 Garden of Green Super Critical CBD(mainlined untrained) seem to levelled out, and the 2 Barneys Farm Peyote Critical (mainline and the slow starter was topped) are fighting for space....but ultimately the 4x4 is awash with bud sites and that is what we want in the dank dank jungle😉
Some nice improvement on bud sites, just applied some OG bud hardener, see how that rolls in the next few days. My little peyote critical seems to have run into some issues, she's not drinking too well, even small amounts seem to just run out. I have tried some voodoo juice today as I suspect some root issue, the leaves are starting to tell a tale😩
Easy to grow auto and takes well to limited high stress training. Trouble free grow from start to finish, and not too leafy...always a bonus. Wasn't too sure on the cheese name, but starting 3rd week curing, definite whiff coming from the jar and my work boots are no where to be seen!
Things are starting to get top heavy now, kinda wishing I carried out a bit of training, but we live and learn. Demands on nutes are increasing, especially on the fim'd Legendary OG Punch. I did an emergency repot on my little struggling Peyote Critical, into a 20 litre air pot (from a 17.5litre fabric sack), suspected root issues. Anyhoo the operation was a success, aside from mud in the bud😏, she is rockin now.
Oh dear, being over-whelmed at work again and the jungle flowers are getting heavy, too heavy in some cases, perhaps a net next time eh!! Anyhoo I managed to rescue one sorry bud stalk, but I think as they get heavier.. there will be more casualties😏. They are all getting super hungry for more nutes, so I'll go heavy this week only and start a 2 week progressive flush next week, presuming of course 8 week flower is accurate 🤔. Take care folks keep it dank green'n'stinky, or perhaps all the colours of the zkittleverse
So.... I didn't have the time to LST these ladies early on, and now I pay the price. The heavy buds with no main central cola are flopping alles uber der platz and I'm doing 13hour days...plus travel. I have started flushing as of today( Thursday) and will pull next weekend regardless and call it quits for this season, and keep it apical next season eh, wasn't my intention to excessively mainline these, but the other lot over run and these were literally bursting out of my propagation tent.
Now the end is near, the jungle is looking decidedly autumnal and like a wrecking ball has swung by, the buds a very heavy and I took my mates advise to heart...'if they are still connected...they are connected', so I'll leave it at that, bit more planning and preparation next run eh. The Legendary OG is showing her purple grandpops heritage and the little Peyote Critical that has been struggling is looking like she'll be doing a donor run in the bubble hash machine I just ordered, as I will be pulling the plug for this season at the end of this week. Planning a White Widow auto run early spring.
Easy grow, don’t forget some support through flowering, the buds are heavy, thirsty and hungry every visit, 8 weeks flower spot on, smells awesome like 🍍
