Planted them in front of pole beans. My plan is to incorporate autoflowers as part of a normal vegetable garden-I usually plant leeks here but how many leeks can one use? The soil is sandy, on the acidic side. I amended the soil with soil builder (Coast of Maine) garden soil, dolomitic lime, homemade compost and Plant tone (a little higher in nitrogen than tomato fertilizer).

Three of four fimmed. Applied tomato fertilizer around dripline. They take well to being treated like a vegetable!

Two of them over 12 inches high. The smallest one is 6 inches-this one was a seed that popped more than a week after the others. They continue to make like a vegetable.

Doing surprisingly well. Autoflowers may be incorporated into a vegetable garden with good results--at least so far.

A few spots of powdery mildew, sprayed with copper fungicide. All the veggies around it get sprayed with fungicide this time of year, except for the malabar spinach which is seemingly unfazed by anything. Let's hope that the copper (Southern Agriculture copper fungicide plus spreader sticker) works.

Growing so fast and well. Did not do anything in the way of training other then some fimming a few weeks ago. Top dressed with Happy Frog Fruit and Flower. Might start with bio-bud tomorrow or the next day, although not sure what good it will do for plants directly planted in native soil.

I fed them with biobud after all, despite my doubts. It can't hurt, might even help. Always treated my indoor grows with biobud with great results. Today they are getting rained on with the remnants of Ida while in bud. It was way too early to harvest them. Hope that they don't get botrytis mold!

It is very close to harvest but I would like more time. I don't want to wake up to molded buds however. The smallest one will definitely stay for at least another week. I have to admit, I have not seen a spot of mold on these plants so far, unlike some of my other autos. Must have some mold resistance.

I was going to harvest these ahead of a rainstorm but decide to leave them out after all. No mold at all--I underestimated these weird little girls! Yes, this strain is at least somewhat mold resistent. Maybe another week to go.

Really outstanding--two hits and done. Smooth fruity and piney/herbal flavor although I would have to test the purple and green phenotypes separately to see if there is any difference. I smoked the purple, got shmackered right away. I grew it instead of leeks in front of a raised garden bed. I still grew leeks but a bit less this year to see if these Aliens can be grown just like any other vegetable in a backyard garden. Well yes--they can be. These plants remained small--no bigger than fully grown leeks--ideal to plant as a border in front of vining plants such as pole beans or cucumbers. Appeared to be resistant to diseases as well as insects. The only problem is that I found a few seeds here and there but I never found nanners on these plants.

Did very well, apparently mold resistant (I did treat with serenade (2x) and 1x with copper fungicide). Don't know yet about the quality of the smoke but will soon find out. I did find a nice fat seed in one of the buds but that appears to be random. This was supposed to be feminized seeds, did not see any nanners. Overall, very happy.

Good luck with the grow! I would also replace leeks with autoflowers 👊 I have some Alien Moonrocks that is currently curing, it is throwing off some earthy and berry smells. I will update my diary after cure with a smoke test.

If you can help it, I would leave those for another two or three weeks. They look awesome. Good job!

@Shakazulu, The rain ended shortly after evening and I went and shook out the plants so they would not be wet all night. No mold at all--thanks!

@Shakazulu, it's a tough choice but I appreciate your input. I am leaning towards leaving them out. We shall see!
