I propped the plants as they became stretched after the first week on the window sill. They are getting stronger now under a non-moving source of light and can easily stand on their own.

I am currently on day 17 and the plants don't seem to grow very bushy - they have plenty of leaves, but they seem very compacted and not very tall. Using 2-1-2 NPK. Any suggestions guys?

Your plants look good. I find that growth is usually slow in the beginning. The sprout will emerge. Then set it's first pair of true leaves and then they often take a pause for 5-7 days. Then after the pause they grow at a moderate rate until they have set 4 or 5 nodes. Then after that the growth rate often speeds up. I avoid tying plants up unless it is absolutely necessary. If I do I tie them, I will tie very loosely and have a fan blowing gently over them so they get bumped around which helps force the plant grow a stronger stem.

Lamp power changed to 100% and moved to 50cm. Plants don't seem to be getting bushy and leaves are staying short. Hopefully it will start growing properly soon! On day 14 the plant on the right started to produce a mild scent. It seems I have been overwatering my plants. I am not sure watering unti run off is a good idea with almost 100% compost soil. The plants seem much happier when only watered enough to get wet (every 2 days). Day 18. Doubled nutrient power. Now using 2ml N, 1ml P and 2ml K per litre of water. Let's see how the plant reacts. Day 19. They have only been on the stronger nutrient for a couple of hours, but the growth is already visible - they got about 1.5cm taller and the leaves started to spread wider from the stem. Might be a coincidence - the veg stage is supposed to be kicking in about now. No signs of nutrient burn yet and hopefully it stays this way. Day 20. The plants loved stronger nutrients! They got taller and started to spread wider. There are loads of new leaves all over them and they seem healthy. Didn't think this would happen so early, but I may have to move them to a bigger pot today. Day 21. Plants moved to their final 6.5l pots and fed generously. Lamp adjusted to keep a 50cm distance. Fingers crossed! It also does not seem to be a great idea to name your plants after your ex girlfriends when you are in a relationship. A rookie mistake.

Day 22. Balanced the nutrients and using 1-1-1, 2ml each per 1 litre of water. Plants seem to be doing fine but I hope they will grow taller. Only 14cm at this point. Day 23. LST used to expose the bottom of the plant to light. It seems it already started to adjust. Plants were 17cm tall before being bent, so that's extra 3cm in one light cycle, crazy! I also think they started to show gender which I suppose means they are getting close to flowering. Stems are getting thicker and much stronger, they start to look more like branches rather than leaf stems. Used a 3-2-2.5 (ml/l) feed today, which is stronger than recommended by the manufacturer just to see how resistant the strain is and how it reacts. Emergency update: the plant on the left shown nitrogen overdose - got limp with 'claws' on multiple leaves. Flushed it under running water until heavy run off. The other ones seem to care very little and leaves got visibly larger over just a few hours. No more food for the little one until it recovers... If it recovers. Day 24. The smaller plant recovered rapidly. They are about 19cm tall. Pistils are becoming bigger and more visible. Day 26. Plants are about 27cm tall. Two bigger ones got nutrient burnt. Does not seem severe, so I will just not feed them for a while. Day 27. 33cm. 6cm in one light cycle. This is pretty crazy. Did my final LST to reduce the height difference on branches. Hopefully the plant won't mind it.

I figured I could try training my plant by LST and since I am very new to this and generally don't want to kill my ladies could you please comment on the way I have done it? Plants held with plastic coated paper clips, because I am lazy but creative :) Also is it safe?

Do not worry. You can not kill your plant with LST. That's why they call it "low stress" since it is easy on the plant. And... your ladies are looking good. I usually try to tie the lower part of the stem to be vertical and bend it horizontally above the first or second node. This leaves the 1st & 2nd nodes to be pulled to the open side of your pot and away from the main part of the plant. Then I start tying longer branches down so they grow horizontally. I want to get the plant spread out and all the branch ends at the same height. Then when they flower and stretch the bulk of my training begins, making sure to give good light and air to each bud site.

I think my plants are starting to flower or they will soon. Pistils visible on main stem and all side branches. This is an auto strain, so technically I can keep the lights on 18/6 schedule. Is that a good idea or should I stick with traditional 12/12? Any comments welcome.

Keep your lights on your current 18/6 schedule. Your plants will want to soak in the light. More light, bigger buds. But rest is also important- so no pushing them 24/0 or 20/4. With the amount of pistols you are seeing I’d say they are officially in flower, just the beginning. Enjoy the ride 🌱

Day 29. Flowering has started. At this point there's not really much to see. Supposed to take about 30 days according to the seed seller. Day 31. Added some calmag to the usual nutes. Ensured solution ph is 6.2. I hope the plants will recover soon. Despite nutrition issues there is quite a few bud spots showing. Day 32. Kind of expected the plants would stop growing in flowering. They are getting tall. 60cm at this point.

Looks like a nutrient lock out coupled with over heating and possible PM??? How is the airflow? Feeding autos at 1/4 strength?

Day 39. The unknown leaf damage doesn't seem to expand. I would guess it was a ph issue combined with low airflow in the tent, as the plants got very bushy and most likely were getting hot. Unfortunately some leaves are damaged but hopefully we are back on track now! Flowers don't seem to be growing very large but I assume it is still early for them to get big. There is loads of small pistil balls all over the plants, fingers crossed. Currently using half a cap all-purpose MiracleGro, 1ml Canna Mono phosphorus, 1ml Canna Mono potassium, 2ml TNC CalMag and Nortembio ph minus to adjust nutrient ph to 5.8 (values per litre of water). May seem like a random mix but it should provode all macro and micronutrients the plants need. The feed may seem a bit too strong but I assumed the compost should be depleted by now and there is no way for the plant to get nutrients from the soil. So far no sign of overfeeding so I will stick to this set of nutrients. Next week I will increase the amount of potassium. Day 42. End of another week. Had to get some cable ties to install the lamp even higher, managed to get another 10cm. The lamp was clearly burning one of the colas. The plants were supposed to grow up to a maximum of 60cm... All of them ended up reaching around 1m! The flowering seems to be going well, plenty of fluff balls all over the plants. Except for heat stress there is no sign of deficiencies or overfeeding and in my humble opinion the ladies look pretty good. Any comments welcome, the more the better! I am hoping to learn as much as I can from this experimental grow so please share your thoughts and tips!

Day 44. Flowers are getting a bit bigger. Day 46. The flowers are getting very sticky and smelly. Also slightly increasing in size. The main colas are about 25 cm tall, side ones are 5-15 cm. I am aware I cannot expect a huge harvest due to my lack of experience, but I hope it will be enough to enjoy the weed for a while! Day 48. Not much of a change, mid-flowering in progress. I expect the buds to start getting fat next week. Day 49. Fully suspended the lamp on cable ties and got another 10cm distance from plants. I can't go any higher. Flowers got a bit bigger and start to look heavy. Loads of new trichomes appeared today and plants are now insanely sticky - pretty much can't touch any of them without getting my hands covered in resin. I seem to have a pH issue, I will need to stabilise it around 6 - 6.5 for better phosphorus and potassium uptake.

What is the best time to harvest? What if lower branches are not quite ready yet, can I harvest gradually? When should I stop feeding the plants? When do the buds get large? Please comment and advise as much as possible. This strain should be ready in 56-63 days, seed to weed.

Best practice is to harvest when your plant is ready. There are so many environmental factors that dictate speed of growth a d ripening. Flowering usually takes 8 weeks- give or take on such factors. I like my trichomes milky with a touch of amber. Other people like them heavily amber. All a matter of preference. Make sure you are checking the color of the trichomes as she gets close. You absolutely can harvest gradually, but you’ll find most people do it in one go. It’s a process. So isn’t the drying. Then the cureing. Most of my previous grows bulked up massively in their finals two weeks. I like to feed until trichomes are nearing where I like- then just continue to feed ph’ed water untill there are where I want them. 🌱

Day 50. Adjusted soil pH to 6.2. I really hope this will solve nutrient uptake issues as it keeps damaging leaves. I never imagined pistils would get hard during flowering, thought they would stay fluffy and soft. Buds getting slightly bigger. Got a full set of Advanced Nutrients coming... Probably won't do much good for this grow as there's not a lot time left to harvest these but hopefully the next grow will be smoother. Day 52. Well, what can I say. Not a lot happening in this stage, the plant is not growing anymore, only buds are getting a little bit bigger. I fed the new nutrients to the plant to see how it reacts to the 'perfect pH' formula. Apparently should lock the pH on the best level for the stage. Hopefully this means the end of pH fluctuation and nutrient lockouts. It may be too late to help the plant develop, but it may still help to ensure a safe finish. Day 53. Some pistils started curling. The lamp is clearly burning my top colas. Not much I can do now but hope for the best... More LST next time, noted. The minimum plant to lamp distance in flowering is 40cm. New nutes... Seem to work just fine? Checked runoff pH and it's 6.2-6.5 which is great and plants show no deficiencies nor toxicity. I guess the plants will be ready to harvest within 1-2 weeks. Day 55. Some buds seem almost ready on the early harvest window. Trichomes are getting milky, pistils are curling.

Day 57. The buds got big! This is about the size I expected from a mature plant which is nice. Since they are still not quite ready yet, I will keep going and see if they get even bigger! I am thinking to harvest them in about 1-2 weeks but we will see how they are doing. Day 59. Buds are still getting bigger and there is quite a few of them on low branches. Not as impressive as top ones of course but still an eye candy. About half of pistils are curled and trichomes are milky. Day 60. Started to flush my ladies. Harvest in a few days. Day 61. It is odd. I noticed some slightly amber trichomes on my ladies, but pistils are still about 50% curled and they do it very slowly. It is possibly the genetics or the light stress, that the higher colas keep growing new pistils. Either way, close to the finish line. Day 63. Yep, definitely some trichomes are amber and they are getting brown fast. I may have to harvest a bit earlier than I thought I would.

Forced harvest of one plant as I noticed bud rot on 2 major colas. Definitely a humidity issue, it was WAY above acceptable level (between 60 and 70%). Such shame... Harvested 185g of decent looking stuff, 21g of underdeveloped buds and sadly threw away about 40g of very good looking stuff. Two others harvested, 310g and 320g after wet trim. Honestly, I am speechless. Never expected this much weed from such tiny plants (and autos). By the way, it is unreal how resinous this one is. I can't really compare it to any other strain as this was my first, but by the time I was done with one plant, I could climb walls like Spiderman. Total grow time from germination - 65 days. Total harvest after wet trim (good quality) - 815g. Total harvest after wet trim (underdeveloped) - 35g. Trimmings - 108g. Total dry harvest after removing stems - 172.48g. Quite decent yield considering cheap equipment, my own nutrient mix and zero experience, yay! Growing experience was pretty good. Since it was my very first grow ever and I was not really prepared for it (buying things as they became required and hoping for the best) i did not really have any expectations. Quick One is very newbie-friendly, feels good in a small pot (I used only 6.5L), recovers quickly if neglected. Seems pretty resistant to disease as well. For some reason the plants grew double the size the breeder stated but that is fine. The harvest was rather generous but I will leave the judgement to the pros. I can imagine that if it grew only 50cm tall as it was supposed to, the harvest would have not been this good. Overall - very good strain, nice genetics, decent potency (don't let 13% fool you!). Definitely recommended.
