Propagated in Purple Cow starter mix in a 10x20 propagation kit under an 18 watt 6400K 1080 lumen T5 fluorescent bulb. Lights on 18/6. Day 2 I switched the T5 to a generic 100 watt LED.
I guess I planted the seed upside down again. It seems that regardless of how much I try to plant it right side up, it comes up looking upside down. Eventually I’ll get it right.
She’s up and out of her shell. So far, so good.
Friday-2 inches tall already!
Saturday- I’ll probably transplant her tomorrow.
I transplanted her to a 5 gallon air pot filled with IndiCanja soil and moved her into the tent under a Maxsisun PB4000. I put a humidity dome over her.
She seems to be adjusting well to the transplant. I can see growth in her leaves.
Tuesday she’s 1.5 inches tall.
Friday-2 inches tall with new leaf growth.
Saturday is the end of her first week in the tent. Hopefully next week she’ll be visibly growing daily.
Sunday she’s 2.5 inches tall and looks like she’s going to start really growing. I expect her to outgrow the dome this week.
Monday-3 inches tall. Nice new leaf growth.
Tuesday-3.5 inches tall. I removed the humidity dome.
Wednesday-same height but good leaf growth. She got water and nutrients today so I expect a growth spurt tomorrow. I left the humidity dome off.
Thursday-see new leaf growth.
Friday-she grew an inch since yesterday. She’s at 4.5 inches tall.
Sunday-5 inches tall. She got full strength nutrients for the first time. I put a trellis in her pot in anticipation of her growth spurt.
Monday-6 inches tall.
Tuesday-7 inches tall.
Wednesday-I put an LST trainer on her to encourage upward growth at the nodes. We’ll see how she does. Hopefully it’ll help her.
Thursday-8 inches tall despite the trainer. Upward branch growth is starting. I gave her CalMag with Iron for the first time and I’m hoping to see a visible difference tomorrow. 🤞🏻
Friday-she’s looking a little bit better so I’ll continue giving her CalMag. I see the first sign of pre-flowering already. Hope she has time to recover and develop.
Saturday-Looking better every day. She’s 9 inches tall now.
This poor girl looks so pathetic that I almost want to put her out of her misery except that I’m really determined to save her. She wasn’t ready for water yet so I sprinkled about a teaspoon of dolomite lime that I had around for my hydrangeas around her root zone.
She is starting to look better but it’s taking longer than I had hoped.
Tuesday morning she got Prescription Blend nutrients and a nice dose of CalMag. Hopefully she’ll look better tomorrow.
Wednesday-she definitely looks better and has started her growth spurt. She’s over a foot tall today. I still see signs of deficiency in some of the new growth so I gave her another sprinkle of lime.
Thursday-Over 13 inches tall. Looking a little bit better but still working on the deficiency.
Friday-same height. Not ready for water yet. I’m guessing she’ll be ready in the morning.
She’s still growing out of her calcium deficiency. New growth is looking better and better but it’s taking a lot longer than I had hoped. She’s really more of an experiment/learning experience at this point because I’m not sure how much of a yield she’ll give me but I sure learned a great lesson about not reusing soil.
Monday she needed water after 3 days instead of 4. I gave her a 3rd shot of CalMag. Hoping her new growth will be normal now.
Tuesday-new growth still has a couple of funky spots but overall she’s looking better every day. She’s 19.5 inches tall.
Wednesday-21 inches tall.
Thursday-23 inches tall. Gave her .5 gallon of water, nutrients and extra CalMag.
Saturday-over 25 inches tall. Still a little damp so I’m giving her another day to dry out.
She’s 26 inches tall. She is showing some good growth in her smaller branches, they’re catching up with the bigger ones.
She’s getting bigger every day. I’m hoping she has time to finish well.
This strain is so pretty to grow. I’m so mad that I messed her up especially since she’s the last seed I had left.
I don’t know why I’m bothering. It’s such a gorgeous strain to grow and I’m so mad at myself for messing her up. At least I learned a very valuable lesson about depleted soil.
