your light is to strong/ to close, so the plants are " dwarfing" under the light. thats why they look so stocky

How are you promoting roots? IAA ? Aloe ? Mycorrhizae? My big favorite is mycorrhizae. I think if root grows well, then it is a good start.

@Med_in_Tropic,In that case both Aloe and Mycos 😯 Just repotted them, they had some roots but could be more at this point. They seem fine just a bit tiny for their age...
