Fastbuds Stardawg Auto/Viparspectra

Struggled with high temps 30.9 (which I read isn’t ideal) for the first 4 days because I switched my lights to full spec, that got corrected after switching back to veg only. I don’t have any intake or extraction set up yet, as that was planned for week 3 when I was originally going to flip to full spec, so I couldn’t deal with the temperature issue without doing a tent overhaul, I couldn’t see any heat stress on the plants but I wasn’t prepared to take a chance to run full spec when the room is not the best for being naturally ventilated. The plants haven’t cared about the light switch and seem to be thriving for being 6 days old (I’m early this week and the wife will be left to tend the plants for the next 2 days 🙈). Plants were fed bottled water only with a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon A good week 🤘😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

A good week, took to the first full week of nutrition feeds like a fish to water, fan to be set up next week and switch from Veg to Full Spectrum is on the cards 👍 Plants have been given 250ml nutrient feed every other day around the root (the above measurements were used in every feed not as weekly total), with 125ml ph water in between. I can’t see any deficiencies with this girl and she’s as green as the as the Welsh valleys back home 🤘🙂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

What can I say about this week. Day 18 LST was performed on main-stem Day 20 she started to show preflower (she’s a quick one) Plants have been given 250ml nutrient feed every other day around the root (the above measurements were used in every feed not as weekly total), with 180ml ph water in between. Plant is really healthy and has no deficiencies, I can record another good week 🤘🙂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

This dirty little girl loves daily LST, removal of fan leaves that’s blocking light from wanted flowering sites, and defoliation of unwanted bud sites… Ive been brutal with this bitch and she’s loved everything I’ve given her…she’ll be on blooming regiments next week 😍 She’s been given 500ml nutrient feed every other day around the root (the above measurements were used in every feed not as weekly total), with 500ml ph water in between. Another successful week passed for this beaut 🤘🙂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

This dirty little girl is in her mode, she’s starting to smell, grow her flower sites, the only thing I’m doing from here on out is the occasional fan leaf removal that’s blocking light on those mentioned sites. She’s been given 700ml nutrient feed every other day around the root (the above measurements were used in every feed not as weekly total), with 700ml ph water in between. Ok so this girl is in full on flower mode, and there’s not much I really could of done this week except make sure her surroundings are as comfy as they possibly can be! She’s been given 1000ml nutrient feed every other day around the root (the above measurements were used in every feed), with 1000ml ph water in between, on day 7 I decided to let her have a dry day, I don’t know if this was wise but it was something I was planning to do after 2 weeks of 1000ml daily feeds, this is planned weekly from here on out. Autumnal colours came through this week, she’s big, she’s healthy and looks really pretty 😍 Nutrient fed every other day of 1000ml with 1000ml of ph water in between. She did have a planned dry day this week…but I think she got a bit too dry with the additional light I put in for the other plants so this idea going forward is gone. Another week passed 👍🤘😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Ok, so the fastbuds site on this plant says to start flushing at week 8 (providing that everything seems ok with the plant itself and the plant is roughly where it needs to be in that stage) (I’m unsure of the Biobizz products and when to flush with these, I’ve done so much reading on the fastbuds website and the blogs there I’ve forgotten about the Biobizz products 😂 I’ll have to do this some point over the next week as I have another grow on the go) So this week I’ve stuck to the Fastbuds blog and info on this plant and have gone the 2 week flush route as she is healthy and I think in that stage! Her colours are really nice, her flowers are sticky to the touch and she smells lush, her trichomes are plentiful and still clear, her stigmas are around 60% orangery so not long now…have only been picking off dead leaves this week and obviously just watered 1000ml ph water daily (+ 10% for the flush period) I guess another good week 🤘😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Ok so I’m not afraid to say 7.7oz shocked me on the wet weight, I had a goal of 1oz dry being a first time grower, factoring mistakes, this and that so I guess we’ll see if what comes as I read up to 75% in weight can be lost in drying and curing….so fingers crossed I hit my goal 🤞 I harvested based on the 1st photo, I cut a small piece of bud off the main cola at the bottom to really check it under a scope and saw red headed trichomes, so checked the lowest flower and had the same results (photo 1), this was after I’d asked a question earlier based on a photo I took on a leaf and was advised to check the buds instead…so thanks for that info there 👍 Also a big thanks for the comments the looks at this diary. Really looking forward to the next couple of weeks and seeing how the rest of this little venture pans out…I guess we just have to stay tuned😊🤘🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 12 Oct 2021: Harvested 16 Oct 2021: Plant seemed completely dry today which surprised me a little so I snapped stems and yus sir they were ready to be trimmed down….icky sticky, earthy, diesel, piney smells were the hints that were hitting me as I was trimming away, I have a lot of airy buds, which is on me! As a First time grower, until I actually got growing and started to understand the complexity and importance of keeping cannabis growing in stable conditions with par values on lights, feed schedules, trying to keep negative pressure in the tent with passive intake vents, adding lights, humidifier, dehumidifier, more fans…a learning experience indeed and not one I’ll be shying away from. Anyway there’s me blabbing on…..dry weight time 👀 38g/1.3oz and roughly 13g trim so I am extremely happy that even though I’ll probably lose about 8% of this during the cure, I think I made my 1oz goal of smokeable bud 🤘😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 A smoke report is due in 4 weeks when it’s had a bit of time to do what it needs to do!
