Germination

Soaked the seeds on 8/11 for ~18 hours, then in wet paper towels for ~48 hours. Placed seeds into a 50/50 mix of Roots Organic Original and Light Seed Starting Soil on the morning of 8/14. I used a double solo cup method with a clear cup holding my medium. Hoping this will allow me to view root growth and catch any runoff. Also added 5 small drill holes to the bottom of the inner cup for drainage. Each cup was given 6-7 oz's of water from a shot glass (until runoff), and placed under my Mars Hydro FC 3000 at ~17.5 inches with very high dimming (~15% of total output). B2F #1, #2 and WC sprouted @ midnight on 8/15, with B2F #3 and SSH both sprouting later on 8/15. As of 8/20, seedlings are all up and growing. SSH stretched a lot, so it probably needed a more light early on. B2F #1 looked fine for the first few days, but found it slumped over this morning. Propped it up in the hope that it might regain strength.

Logging Week 1 a little late, but it has been really cool to see the major increases in root growth recently. The clear solo cup makes it easy to view the growth, and also to monitor soil moisture a little easier. All the plants have roots surrounding the bottom of the solo cups, and their leaves are all near or at the edges of the cups. I will be transplanting in the next day or two into 1 gallon fabric pots.

Didn't snap many photos this week, but getting the girls ready for transplanting into 1-gallon fabric pots early next week. Watered with Great White Myko + Elemental (CalMag) ~48 hrs before transplanting. Trying to reduce transplant shock. They're ready for new homes for sure!

Transplanted the girls into their new 1-gallon fabric pots early in the week (d22). Sprinkled some Great White Myko into the transplant hole before moving them. Watered immediately following transplant along with: 5ml/g Roots Organic Grow, Ancient Amber, and Trinity. Each plant needed only ~12oz before seeing decent run-off. Next watering was three days later (d25) w/o nutes. I've been weighing the girls after each watering (letting run-off occur before weighing), then weighing them periodically over the next few days to more closely monitor their water needs. Weighing + lift test seem to indicate when they need water pretty well. Watered again w/ nutes on (d28). Same regime of 5ml/g Roots Organic Grow, Ancient Amber, and Trinity. Again 12oz to each plant. Topping early next week.

Topped the girls @ the 5th node on 9/12 (d29). SSH was already showing some good lateral growth, but the other plants could use some help. Hoping to have a real even canopy once I flip, so this was much needed. Water w/ nutes the next day, 9/13 (d30). Increased water to 20 oz each plant. Nutes were 10 ml/g of Buddha Grow, Ancient Amber and Trinity, with 5 ml/g of CalMag. Next watering on 9/16 (d33). Again 20 oz to each plant and added half tsp/g of Great White Myko to help with nutrient uptake from the last feeding. Last feed of the week was on 9/18 (d35). I was rushing and forgot to pH my water :( It was likely ~8-8.5, but the plants didn't seem too bad off even a few days after. Nutes were 10 ml/g of Buddha Grow, Ancient Amber and Trinity, with 5 ml/g of CalMag and half tsp/g of Oregonism XL Myko. The girls are starting to take off in growth and the main stems are putting on some size. Excited to see how they continue to grow out of the topping I gave them early in the week. Might top a few of the plants a second time or just do some LST where it is needed. Lovin' it!

Upped the nitrogen this week with more Grow and Ancient Amber, and purchased some Nectar for the Gods Demeater's Destiny to increase Calcium a bit. Watered with Ca and Myko on 9/21 (d38), with full nutes on 9/23, and water only on 9/26 Performed some LST on my SSH on 9/25, tying down a few of the taller terminal buds to let some of newer flower sites catch up. Excited to see how even I can get the canopy. The plan is to do some LST on the others next week. Forgot to take photos this week, so using the same ones from Week 5 :(

Full feed on 9/28 (d45), Just Ca and Myko on 9/30, and another full feed on 10/2. Performed LST on BF2 and BF3 on 10/1. Really cool to see such symmetrical growth on these after topping, but needed to let some of the interior bud sites catch up to the new tops. The plan is to transplant the girls from their one gallon pots into five gallon pots next week. Gonna let them go for ~ a week more after that, then will flip to flower. Veg almost complete!

Water only on 10/4, followed by a full feed on 10/6. A bit of LST on Wedding Cake starting on 10/5. Definitely the runt of all the girls, but thought I might as well try and even it out before the flip. Transplanted the girls from the 1-gallon fabric pots into their final 5-gallon fabric pots on 10/8. Sprinkled Great White on the transplant hole and watered in with Oregonism XL Myko. No nutes added to transplant watering.

First full feed in the 5-gallon fabric pots done on 10/14. Flipped to flower the next day (Friday, 10/15) but counting this entire as veg for the grow log. Excited to see the girls gain size and develop buds over the next few weeks!

First feed since the flip to flower done on 10/20 (d67). Full feed w/ Buddha Bloom added to the lineup. Forgot to add in the recommended HP^2 this week, but will add to the mix for the next feeding. Girls looking good since the flip!
