Everything is great so far. The babies are in my smaller veg/dry tent for a little until my other plants are ready to be harvested. Will be trying to keep then small for the time being. I dont have any pics from their first week so here's some of the one in my flowering tent. Strawberry cough and California orange from Dutch passion plus WamZkit from ethos.

This week went smoothly. They all seem a little more leggy than I'd like but once they're repotted they'll be fine. Moby is showing much a much thinner first set of leaves staying true to its sativa roots. The gorilla zkitllez is looking much more idica early on. I estimate 4 days to a week max in the cups before I switch to either 1 or 3 gallon pots.

As Week 3 commences and I find myself with a bit of time this morning on my day off. Seeing as the weekends coming up, I want to get the transplanting out of the way. So poured a cup of coffee and got to work. The process is pretty simple. I mixed a starter soil that's one part perlite, one part worm castings, one part a mixture of happy frog and pro mix hp (about 8 cups of both between 3 gallons) (Generally I wouldn't mix commercial soils in such a way, but I need to use what I have) in a 5 gallon bucket and distributed it equally throughout my 1 gallon fabric pots. I used a solo cup to form a nice hole so the transplant could just slide right into it and then I sprinkled mycorrhizae in the hole and a little on the transplant itself for good measure. the choice of a 1 gallon pot is mainly due to size. There's going to be a shuffle in the coming month where the plants could end up spending a week or two outside of the tent while my other plants finish and dry. So I believe it's in my best interest to keep them under control so to speak. Otherwise, nothing but healthy and happy plants to report. Can't wait to see how much they change in their new pots :)

Another successful week in the books. They seem to be growing very well in the soil mix I provided for them. I thought 33% wormcastings would be a bit too high but after what seemed like faint yellowing on the first set of leaf tips, they don't seem to have any signs of stress at all. I topped on Tuesday and they all seem like they've already recovered and started focusing on the new shoots. Moby is looking very sativa early on, and seems like it's already gaining more height and stretching out. The leaves are notably thinner than GZ but not pencil thin like I've seen on some sativas. GZ looks like both plants are leaning indica. Leaves are THICC and lush green just like I would want. I did miss the top on one of them. On my last 2 grows that same mistake turned into 3 colas instead of 2. A happy accident if I do say so myself. Let's hope this yields me the same fortune. These will be some beautiful plants I can feel it. The plant on the side is banana daddy auto from ethos. I little side project since I'm not great at growing autoflowers I figured I'd pop one and really get to know it. I'll update on that one sparingly but my main focus is honing my craft growing photoperiods. Happy growing ✌️

ONE MONTH It finally happened. Needed the tent to dry my other plants so now these ladies are living at the behind-the-bar motel for the time being. They still seem relatively healthy. The first single leaf on them has started to yellow so I've decided to start feeding them. Not going overboard though because I don't want them going crazy with growth for the next 2 weeks. Used fish fert and top dressed a little alpha alpha meal combined with their first ACT. I've lost track of which GZ is which. They're now separated by a half successful top and a botched top. The foliage on the botched one has suffered many imperfections but nothing fatal. I re-topped this morning. Not sure if it's a great idea but I wanted my tops and I just went through with it. The other GZ has 2 new colas and the old one survived making a whopping 3! Despite my best efforts, they still look very healthy and green and very, very indica early on. Moby dick is just that. I actually managed to successfully top her and it hasn't slowed her down a bit. She's rapidly accumulating vertical and lateral growth. Her branching is much longer than the other two. I've seen information on the strain that suggest only a month of veg due to the eventual size. Welp, looks like we'll find out won't we? If the first month is any indicator, it looks like I managed to pick two short plants and one really tall plant again. Not ideal but I will make it work. These freebies are killing me! (in a good way) BIG COUPLE WEEKS AHEAD.

Moby is still a monster and is training up nicely. No problems to report. One GZ officially has a FIM which is a nice bonus. Some wrinkled leaves possibly ph swing from added ferts. Still very healthy looking and smelly early on. Other GZ has some interesting things going on that I can't pinpoint. We'll keep an eye on her. Probably the least visually appealing plant in my opinion. Trying to combat a few gnats as well. One plant left in my other tent just another week or two to go. Soon they'll be under my sf2000 and they'll get potted up and flipped to flower. Going to have to try to get some clones first. These plants are too nice not to try.

All in all a solid week. They're trained so they don't show much vertical growth but the shoots seem to all be developing evenly and growing outward like I want. There's really no problems to report on 2/3 of the plants. Moby had two shoots topped. First time I've ever topped a plant more than once. Getting weird with it though. There's a stark difference between the two GZ. Four leaves lost to yellowing off so far. The new growth looks healthy but the leaves are noticeably smaller than the other plant. Something funky is going on and I don't think it's a lack of anything. Poor watering practices is my top culprit. The last two times I watered it I managed to get her to droop significantly. Root system might be a tad less developed for whatever reason. Weird splotches too. Anyway, on to the next one.

10/2 They made it to their forever pots. Next Saturday we'll be hitting 2 months from sprout and as a whole its been a pleasure to grow these plants. They all are a very healthy green and seem to be happy. Temperatures in the region may have unexpectedly slowed them down (I grow in a basement) because temps have plummeted from around 78 with the lights on to as low as 71! I don't think they like it either. Growth has slowed with it. Never fear, space heater is here. Everything thing needs to be dialed in for the next few weeks because I want explosive growth over the next 21 days. Going to try a SST somewhere in there. Parsing through all this bro science isn't easy but it sure is fun to experiment. It allegedly gives you good root growth and provides crucial enzymes. Almost sounds too good to be true but I'm going to see how it goes regardless. I heard you can use I wide variety of seeds but alpha alpha is the only one I have on hand. Wish me luck. As for the plants: Moby= beast. I'd be a fool not to attempt to clone her. Vigorous grower and responds well to training. Not a demanding eater either, at least so far. Loving this freebie from NASC. Highly recommend them if you're in the northeast US looking for a local seed bank. GZ 1 = steady. Probably the biggest back slide if you want to call it that. Spotted some yellowing on lower leaves but they are shaded by this ones thick canopy. May not even be an issue but we keep an eye on it. Probably the biggest critic of the lowering temperatures because she's slowed down in the past 2 days. Gz2= trooper. She had a rougher upbringing and she's got a far different shape than the other two because of it. But with a little work I'm sure soon both GZ will be indistinguishable from one another. Banana daddy= forgot to take pics of her. Man have I been growing autoflowers all wrong. I may have fed this plant once. Though it should be noted that the soil I put her in was amended with alpha alpha, fish bone meal, and guano. She seems to really enjoy it so far. Not a single yellow leaf. Droopy at times though which is odd. Also some tacoing on new growth that ends up correcting itself as the leaf gets bigger. Double odd. Next time I do an auto run I'm definitely doing much less in terms of feeding and maintenance. Loving your plants too much can be deadly. Starting to figure them out though so I'm happy I did at least one. I'll post in a few days when I water my photos again.

10/8 - going along steady. I'll take few more glam shots later. 2 MONTHS. It may not look like much but I'm proud of these 3. This is probably the healthiest tent I've had since I started growing inside. I just want them to fill out the net a little better before I flip. 10/10 - trellis training is underway. Between topping and this, I should have a nice, full canopy this time around. I've estimated about 72 squares in my net yet only about 35 or so colas forming. Wondering if I should really I push this one or quit while I'm ahead. One thing is for certain, Moby dick is responding much faster to being topped than GZ. Every stem of Moby I've topped has grown lower shoots aggressively and quickly. Gz has been far slower to respond. Noted. Can't wait to see these things bud. But patience is a virtue here. If the veg stage is any indicator, the buds going to be phenomenal.

10/15 This week saw a few snags. Both gorilla zkittlez girls are showing what looks like a Mg def i.e yellowing between veins and green veins themselves. This isn't the first time they've exhibited these symptoms. Currently the heaviest affected leaves are the lowest fan leaves farthest from the light. Aiming to keep it that way. I think it's pH swinging too low. I need to pay more attention to my feeds but sometimes I don't have the time to pH my water as properly as I should. The reason I say it's that and not a deficiency is because they are also showing signs of over feed (yellow leaf tips) only a one half-strength feed did this. There must be plenty of food left in the pot. I'm thinking the flip is gonna come at the end of the week. I'll clean up some lower foliage tomorrow or Sunday and let them grow the rest of the week. 10 weeks seems like a nice round number to me. More pics coming when I do my defoll. 10/16 added some pics and vids

10/21- Flower has begun!! I've been gradually removing growth from under the canopy that I dont anticipate will become sizeable buds. Now we wait for the stretch. Took a few clones to try my hand at that. Air is drying out big time lately. I'm probably going to have to give in and buy a humidifier because it's going to be essential to keep my buds from drying out too fast and keeping these plants in healthy rh range. Despite humidity swings, plants seem to be doing well across the board so I already have a leg up on my last grow. I sprayed for bugs as a precaution. Neem and peppermint Castille soap diluted in water was the choice. Left a residue on my plants though so live been keeping my light between 30-40% and gradually turning up the intensity each day until I reach where I was(70) I dont want to burn my leaves because I have treating for bugs before. I will add pictures this weekend. This is posted on Day one so there's really not too much change to show in the plants. Really excited to see how they develop over the next 2 weeks. 10/24 Added pics of two plants. I accidently deleted my shoot of GZ 2 and I don't feel like taking them out of the tent again because it's a bit of a pain with the net. It's much taller than it's sister and maybe the healthier plant at this point. Moby dick is a bush, very healthy even still. No real signs of flower yet. They do seem to be stretching a bit but when you look everyday it's hard to tell. I'm hoping to have a really nice canopy in a week.

10/28 - First week in the books. I figured now would be as good a time as any to use a sprouted seed tea because the plants seem to be starting to fully stretch. Pistils are coming slowly but surely. Canopy isn't full but it's still the best I've ever done and I'll take that knowledge into future grows. Exciting weeks ahead. Crazy to think in two weeks it will look more like the finished product than the plants you see before you. I'll take them out for a photo shoot this weekend. The amount times I will be taking them out of the tent will be limited from here-on-out. These plants are getting cumbersome.

11/5 -- They now have 2 weeks of 12/12 under their belts and it's truly been a tale of 3 plants for the past week and a half. GZ2- This one has the opportunity to meet its full potential. It has stretched to give me this beautiful canopy and very few signs of over feed or stress in it. Hopefully she stays this way. Moby- look like it may have been developing some deficiencies. I fed it a few days ago and it seemed to respond well. Some leaves have gotten yellow but the plant is do thick and dense I'm not worried about a few falling off. All in all, it's been steady eddy for Moby Dick that I now believe is also a Barney's Farm Freebie(the seed is now listed where I buy mine from) I'm not going to change it but if you're keeping track, this is most likely a tent full of Barney's Farm. Gz1- and now the music gets a little more serious. I really started recognizing problems with her right at flip. She has lost a lot of fan leaves due to yellowing,, dark stems and I can tell her branching has suffered because of it. Growth at the bottom looks weak and even wrinkled in some spots. She has burn spots and signs of deficiency galore. But also VERY dark fan leaves. I've just come to the conclusion that flushing was probably my best move. She can still have a week of solid growing. If I can get it corrected now, this plant will still be respectable but the trend is disturbing and alarming to someone who knows how fast they can decline. So in conclusion, things are getting a little hairy. Flowering always brings on a new set of challenges and I'm still learning every single time. Wish me luck this week, I'll need it. 11/6 Updated pic on old friend banana daddy that they shared the veg tent with.

11/15 Coming along but not without problems. 3+ weeks in now I'm in the stage where I'm just trying to push all the right buttons and guide it to harvest. They've all demonstrated some level stress but bud formation is coming along well. I dont know if I'm just used to the smell but it hasn't really gotten much stronger. I'll try to take some more pics later on. The past week has been a little busy.

11/24 - Well, theyre definitely finishing. GZ 1 has been through hell but the nugs are still looking really nice. Gz 2 is also starting to accrue a laundry list of leaf symptoms. These last 4 weeks are getting away from me a bit. I flushed about 5 days ago to stop any ph problems I was having potentially. Now I'm probably going to feed about 2 times before I start getting ready for harvest in a month. Moby dick kept its green for the most part. Nugs look like they are going to be compact and dense. Definitely in the lead for my prize plant. All in all, not too shabby. Still light-years from where I want to be though.

12/1 - GZ 1 has pretty much decimated its fan leaves. This seems to be a bit early in my opinion. The buds are nice but not as full as I'd like. She's still got swelling to do but I can't see her going longer than another 2 weeks. I think I may have went too light on feed around week 3 or 4 because thats when the symptoms started. Either way I'm officially labeling this plant as "stunted by user error" GZ 2 is starting to head down the same path a week or 2 after her sister. Buds are looking small but frosty. It think she may be a little better off in the long run but we'll see. Orange hairs started coming in droves for both around week 4. The buds are picturesque but they still have a lot of fattening to do. Moby Dick's leaves have started to fade noticeably to light green just in the past week. I consider this optimal at day 40. I'm curious what the next few weeks will hold for her because her buds are already looking nice and full. Definitely going to be the last to finish and looking like it's going to be worth every second.

12/10 - Well, both gorilla zkittlez will be harvested very soon. The leaves died and died very quickly on the second plant. We are not at 60 days and they don't seem like they can go much longer. Most people seem to harvest in 60 day window so I think I could of did worse. Temps were eradic towards the end. It's hard for me to dial in temp and rH consistenly. They'll be beautiful nugs but I'm probably going to fall woefully short of my goal of yield. Moby dick is my silver lining. Not overly stinky or frosty buds but I nailed the training 100% with 6+ colas all at the same level. She wasn't a picky eater and she is still maintaining her green. The nugs on this plant feel more full farther down the plant. I'm letting her run longer because I think she can probably swell more. Next time you see me I might be harvesting 👍 Happy growing everyone.
