Hi Fam!
Week 5 done and dusted with some significant growth.
I switched my base nutrient back to Canna Coco A + B because I'm familiar with the product and I was running into issues with the manufacturers recommendations on Floramax Vegaflora base nutrients. I've also added additional calmag to satisfy my coco which apparently had a few buffering issues. I'm pretty sure the Floramax line doesn't take frequent fertigation into account, thus recommends EC levels way too high. I will try again on another plant at lower EC targets and see how I go.
She appears a little light, but this is damage caused by the high EC feeds she was being given. You will note some burnt tips which popped up last week that signalled an issue and her new growth is nice and healthy. Also, my SF2000 gives off a bit of ambient yellow light.
She was transplanted into her 19 litre final home several days ago and hasn't missed a beat. I've started low-stress training out her branches and have started thinning out her canopy to provide more direct light to the secondary branches I want to grow out. She is currently being fed once a day at 1.2 litres with some run off, though I had to provide her an additional litre about 2 days ago to reach field capacity in order to achieve regular run-off. Given the size of her pot, I'm thinking of letting her fill out my 2 by 4 tent on her own. When her run-off EC starts dropping, I will increase fertigation frequency or nutrient strength - I haven't decided yet and will judge based on plant growth.
Until next week, cheers growmies!
