This is the beginning I suppose. I started 5 seeds of Blue Jack. I’ve had them for some time had just never got around to doing anything with them. Boy I was ill prepared. I had a 50w light I got from Costco that I thought would do. Yeah it did just about enough to get the sprouting and then not much more after that. It wasn’t long before I was researching everything about growing and trying to source grow equipment. Anyway I started 5 seeds at the beginning of this round. Two did nothing. Probably because my conditions were non existent and I probably planted that seed too deep. Anyway we’ll say they were junk seeds. I’m left with 3. The other two Mary and Jackie they turned out to be males so they got the chop, sorry but ya gotta go! I’m left with my one Janky Jane. Oh man. I had this tiny seedling in a big ass 5 gallon pot. Over watered the thing early on in her life. I ended up getting fungus gnats because it was in the 19 degree celsius range. Mary at the time seemed to be my rockstar and Jane was my ugly duck that I was close to giving up on. I had a friend tell me to give it chance. So I did. I’m glad I did. Jane turned out to be my only female. I have no notes to share. This is too early on in my growing endeavour for me to even do this yet. I start to take notes week 1 of flower. Jane is the one on the right in the purple pot. Anyway as I messed this diary up. I’m just gonna make this germination section the whole from seed and vegetative stage.

*So this is where this diary is going to start with notes because I hadn’t kept a log book until this point. I have no reference for anything during veg. I smoke pot and don’t remember details.* Day 2 Flower -Started 12-12 light schedule -Started light intensity at level 3 on the Diablo -No Water today Day 3 Flower -Feeding day 319 PPM - (Bloom/cal mag/Grow) @ 6.3 PH -Pistils starting to show more Day 4 Flower -Some stretching going on - turned light up one notch to 4 Day 5 Flower -More stretch -No water -Looking happy Day 6 Flower *NOOB ALERT* I hadn’t ever watered until run off or anything up until this point. I always watered or feed just enough to be fully absorbed with next to no runoff out of the bottom. -Flushed with 12 litres of straight RO no PHing. Yeah I didn’t PH the water. -Defoliated a bit and removed some lower insignificant branches -Added a humidifier to the tent Day 7 Flower -Raised Light intensity to 5 -Good stretch -No water -Flush hasn’t shown effects yet

Day 8 Flower - Sunday Aug 8 2021 -More growth -No Water, pot is getting light again Day 9 Flower -Feeding Day 4.7 Litres @ 6.41 PH / 1020 - PP -Raised light intensity to 6 -Introduced a framenting CO2 system (it’s not a sealed tent I’m aware that it’s probably not effective at all but it’s cheap and it’s better than none) Day 10 Flower -Not much to talk about -No water Day 11 Flower -Showing signs of possible phosphorus deficiency? -Will feed as plant seems dry enough - 3.8 Litres @ 6.03 PH / 447 PPM Monitor how she responds Day 12 Flower -No water Looks as if it responded well to feeding -Buds really coming along Day 13 Flower -No water -Defoliated and removed weak branches -recharged the CO2 system Day 14 Flower *NOOB ALERT* This is where I start losing it a little and my cycle of feed flush and feed and flush starts. -Plant not looking happy at all -Gonna do a full dose watering -4.8 Litres @ 6.22 PH / 1230 PPM no run off

Sun Aug 15 - Day 15 Flower -No water today -Just grow Day 16 Flower *NOOB ALERT* -Today I clued in that my soil is actually a soilless mix. I bought this stuff at the store I assumed what I had was soil -I need to better understand my growing medium -Feeding day today -4.7 litres - 5.9 PH - 1170 PPM No runoff information * At this point I’m of the belief I need to have my water PH’d at 5.8-6.2. ⬅️ If this wrong please comment Day 17 Flower -Looking happier today -No water -Buds are starting to look nice Day 18 Flower *NOOB ALERT* -Aug 18th my Apogee PAR meter arrived in the mail today and I decided to lower the light 21 inches above the canopy and and begin blasting it in the 890 range. This is the beginning of me chasing a nutrient deficiency not realizing my light is cooking my plant. Notes cont: -Looking fairly happy -No water Day 19 Flower *NOOB ALERT* -At this point I’m internally freaking out thinking I’m in the wrong PH window after realizing I’m in a soilless mix when I thought I was in soil mix. An other mistake here is about to happen. Notes cont: -Flush the plant with 15 litres of RO water with some epsom salts at a PH of 6.5 - 60 PPM (epsom) -Runoff first sample 2 litres 5.73 PH - 2810 PPM -Runoff sample two - 2 litres 5.95 PH - 1700 PPM -Runoff sample three - 2 litres 6.18 PH - 1010 PPM -Runoff sample four - 2.5 litres 6.35 PH - 741 PPM I was uneasy here and searching for why my plant wasn’t happy. All part of the PH swings and me being completely lost as where I should be in a PH window. Day 20 Flower -Starting to yellow because of the flush *Still chasing what I need to do -Trichomes on sugar leaves are starting to form -Buds look really nice, lots of pistils *NOOB ALERT* -Bumped up light intensity to 890-940 micromoles -Still 21 inches above canopy Day 21 Flower *NOOB ALERT* I do a fees after a flush because I now think she’s getting hungry while still trying to keep a PH of 6.5 ⬅️ I question this still please comment if you know better. -Feed 7 litres bloom/cal mag/boost and molasses 6.5 PH - 892 PPM -Runoff 2.5 litres - 6.35 PH - 920 PPM That’s the end of this week. I was chasing problems and probably making things more complicated than they had to be.

Sunday Aug 22 - Day 22 Flower -Defoliated a little -Still not looking too hot -Buds look nice -No water Day 23 Flower -No water -Seemed to have stabilized from the last watering -Buds are nice Day 24 Flower -Giving a light feeding today -7 litres 1/8 tsp of bloom/cal mag/boost 6.5 PH - 194 PPM -Runoff 1.1 litres - 6.35 PH - 1230 PPM Day 25 Flower -No water -Still not looking too hot -Some pistils starting to turn orange Day 26 Flower -Still not looking too hot -Going to boost some feed again -8 litres grow/cal mag/bloom/boost 6.27 PH - 455 PPM -Runoff 3.1 litres - 6.3 PH - 1100 PPM -Buds still look nice and frosty -we’ll see the next few days Day 27 Flower -No water today -Yellowing seemed to have slowed down -More pistils turning orange -Just keep on with it got no choice Day 28 Flower -Watering day today -7 litres of aerated tap water 6.21 PH - 62.3 PPM -Runoff 1.8 litres - 6.43 PH - 922 PPM This week was a three watering week. I was chasing nutrient deficiencies and next week I’m going to clue in that my light is maybe just a little too much. My first initial flush was my down fall and I swung from low to high back to low again and I’ve been trying to get her stabilized. I feel like 6.2 to 6.5 is a good range for Sphagnum Peat/coco/perlite mix. ⬅️ Let me know in the comments what you think a good PH range for a soilless mix is.

Day 29 Flower-Sunday Aug 29 2021 -I’m lost as to what to do with this plant -Going to give it a full dose feed -2 Gallons @ 6.21 PH - 1310 PPM -Runoff 4.6 litres @ 6.47 PH - 781 PPM Moved light back further away as I now suspect my problem is light is too close and too intense. Day 30 Flower -No water today -Still not looking too hot but not looking worse -Still very nice buds Day 31 Flower -No water -Jane does look a bit happier now with the light adjustment Day 32 Flower -Watering day today - 8 litres with a little molasses 6.26 PH - 85 PPM Runoff- 1.9 litres 6.32 PH - 1350 PPM -Does look a bit happier again -Visibly trying to come back to a shade of green but still has some really yellow leaves -I think some of the more attacked leaves are dickered Day 33 Flower -Again still turning a better shade of green -Some leaves still not so hot but we have to push forward -More pistils turning orange Day 34 Flower -No water -The bleeding seems to have stopped -Has somewhat returned to an ok shade of green doesn’t look like it’s getting worse -More pistils turning orange -Buds still look decent Day 35 Flower -Feeding Day today -2 Gallons aerated tap water 62.2 PPM -3 tsp bloom -1 tsp cal/mag -1.5 tsp P/K boost -2 gallons @ 6.11 PH - 1640 PPM -Runoff 1.6 litres @ 6.17 PH-1950 PPM -Still has yellow leaves -Some sugar leaves are turning purple -Probably a compounding symptom of her not being in the greatest of shape to begin with -Potency may suffer -Still proud of my buds Well this is the end of week 5. I sometimes think now that am I tracking a week late? Is it possible that I’m now finished week 6 instead? I dunno gotta start thinking about that time to flush. Got my pocket microscope coming in the mail soon. I’m struggling with finding a good PH window to be in. I’m in a Sphagnum peat moss/coco/perlite mix. Has a slight nutrient charge and a wetting agent with some limestone. I’ve researched that some people say 5.8-6.2 is a good range and others say 6.2-6.5 is the range. ⬅️ Please anyone who has experience with a soilless mix, please comment on what is the preferred range for PHing my water.

I’m about to water my plant today. I haven’t used any Dynomyco since she’s been transplanted in this 5 gallon fabric pot. Can I mix in some Dynomyco in my water and apply it like that or should I just top dress a little and then just water the medium? Happy growing!

Nah I dont think you need it - it would take several days for the fungus to bloom and synergise with the root system, the fungus aids water and nutrient absorbtion across the root system. The plant is fading already which means either it is going into the death cycle from here and sucking the nutrients out of its leaves or it is getting hungrier as bud production ramps up, I would say try giving it a nice little feed and see if the colour picks up - if it doesnt you are in the end game and there's zero need for adding the fungus, if the colour does pick up your rhizosphere is working just fine and needs nothing extra - save the resources for your next grow and put what you have learned into action! ;)

May already be in week 8 but it’s week 7 🤷‍♂️🏼 Day 44 Flower -No water -Not much change -Bud continues to ripen up -Not much more to say for today Day 45 Flower -Continue to initiate flush -May be a little early but I’d rather the plant self consume itself until harvest vs being late on a flush and having un smokable weed -Pushed 32 litres through in 8 litre intervals -1st 8 litres -6.33 PH tap water 62.5 PPM -Runoff 1.8L 6.28 PH - 1660 PPM -2nd 8 litres -6.33 PH - 63.7 PPM Runoff 2.8 L 6.41 PH 1220 PPM Runoff 2.9 L 6.52 PH 942 PPM Runoff 1.6 L 6.56 PH 739 PPM -3rd 8 litres -6.32 PH - 62.5 PPM Runoff 2.7 L 6.72 PH 495 PPM Runoff 2.7 L 6.86 PH 349 PPM Runoff 2.4 L 6.88 PH 272 PPM -4th 8 litres -6.33 PH 64.2 PPM Runoff 2.6 L 6.96 PH 235 PPM Runoff 2.5 L 7.03 PH 201 PPM Runoff 2.5 L 7.07 PH 184 PPM -That’s it 32 litres pushed through total -Don’t understand why the PH drifted that high when my water was at 6.3 the whole time -Buds are looking really nice and frosty -Smell nice -Fan leaves not so nice but we care about flower Day 46 Flower -Fan leaves not hot -Buds are awesome -The flush is on -Getting close to pulling her into her 72 hour dark period -Not much more to say today Day 47 Flower -No water -Fan leaves look more like shit -Buds seem to be getting fatter -Not much more to say -Counting down the days to harvest now Day 48 Flower -No water -Fan leaves are junk nothing new -Buds are just bursting out almost like fox tailing but not really -She’s really pushing though this flush Day 49 Flower -8 litres of water with 2 tsp of Lotus Carbo flush -8 litres 6.41 PH - 251 PPM - Runoff 1.5 L 6.88 PH - 409 PPM -Buds still getting fatter -Getting close to the finish line This is the end of week 7. Well here we are!! WOOOOOO HARVEST TIME!!!! Haha well we’re not done yet. There’s still work to do. I honestly don’t understand why Growdiaries wants a wet weight. I could care less about what the wet weight is. So yeah I’m putting 60 as a generic value. Will update actual dry weight. Sunday Sep 26 Day 57 -She’s finished her dark period -Defoliated fan leaves -Hung to dry -Now we wait
