Placed the girls in Spring Water and Mykos-root biological. Trying to sprout 11+ year old seeds that have been in storage at room temperature. Not ideal but have managed to get a few beans to take off. Have thousands, so it is just a function of math as to how many I have to plant. Have been placing 10 beans per cup. Will get 3-4 to sprout-except certain strains! Have had the Juicy Fruit and Romulan mix sprout all the beans!
Am including a few "ringers' in this next grow. Have some female beans from ILGM and MSNL - good ones - Banana Kush, Girl Scout Cookies Extreme, good 'ol Gorrilla Glue#4, and of course Wedding Cake. Had a taste of GSC from last batch, not much but enough to make me want more.
Most of the ILGM & MSNL sees popped!
The slots that are empty were for 11+ Year old seeds. Little bit more difficult to germ since these seeds were stored at room temperature in the garage! Still, I am finding some that will work for this next run.
Moved the Babies from the tray to their new home for a few weeks. First time I have tried the Extreme Gardening Azos Bacteria. Like most folks I thought, "Bacteria Bad." Well I have proved to myself that is just not the case. I tried using LESS THAN recommended and I can tell you the results are TWICE as good when I grow without it! Azos is a keeper! Will be adding it to future grows! The "Root Zone" is super active and LOTS of FAT ROOT GROWTH! Love it! These Babies are thriving!
This week the Babies started drinking more in the smaller pots. Time to move up! Was amazed at the growth of the roots when transferring to larger pots. The plants were almost root bound! Thank you "good" bacteria. Root growth was HALF of what I am seeing with Mykos & Azos. Was confused at first by it...but after seeing the growth - I'm a believer now! I transferred 2 ILGM Gorilla Glue#4, 2 ILGM Wedding Cake, MSNL Banana Kush, GSC Extreme, G-13 Haze, White Widow, 3 Home-crossed White Extreme Haze (G13/WW/EXT2), and 4 Home-crossed Extreme Cookies (GST/EXT2). I have 7 that are Feminized, the rest are just regular seeds with 50% chance of Fems. I will do what I can to sway the odds a bit. LST Training will begin again in about 3 days. Thanks.
This week the Babies were introduced to LST Training. Some took really well to it like the White Widow - she stretched out those (soon to be) lower branches to make a lot of room for big Colas! I was a doubter if LST Training would work or if it would stress out the plants too much to make it viable. After the last run, and reading tons of posts here, I can say I have the confidence to give it a try! Thanks to this Community! MUCH THANKS TO ALL!!!
I missed a week. This week in Flower I had to remove a few males that were showing their true colors! They wanted to "soil" mu Ladies - so they had to go! I germed 7 Females, 8 unknown. I had to remove 3 males from that were WW/G13 and WW/GSC. Still keeping an eye for any "new" males. Put up first SoG net. Plants going through their pre-flower stretch. They have almost doubled in size. Still looking good, nice and green. They look happy. I always play drums and guitar 3-5 times a week with them. Laugh if you want but the plants seems to like it...and they will bring me goodness in the end! I would like to say I meant to do this but it just happened that way. They are my Rock and Roll Girls!
Had to pull another big Male! Left a hole in the canopy. Within just a few days that hole was covered. They are stretching and pulling in closer to light. Did not do the last LST Training session and now they are a little taller and not as bushy as I had hoped. Oh well, better luck next grow. In the meantime, we have plenty to do to see this grow through. Thanks, Mark.
No more Males! Canopy kept being "cut out" because of removing males from the Grow.
The girls have started to blossom. Internodal length looks good. Need to fill in those branches with yummy colas! The stage is set....how good will this Harvest be? Only time will tell.
Thanks for visiting! See you soon!
This week the Ladies just received the stinky stuff - Earth Juice Bloom - which is basically Bat Guano and Kelp. Good for plants just don't breathe in over the container. Have to sit this out for 24 hours and add the Mykos just before feeding. Plants love this stuff! If you ever wondered where that "stinky goodness" came from.....
Just another fun week watching the young sprouts make it to Bloom. They stretched pretty good there for a while and now the Ladies are really putting on weight! 😎
This week has been all about cleaning out the under brush! Had about a half pound of leaves!
The Ladies are moving into their final phase....won't be long now. Cannot wait for a taste! Enjoy the eye-candy!
This is a sad week for my grow....found a male that was hiding but not before he managed to ruin the whole crop!!! It happens. However, the male was a GSC Extrema so may look for some crosses like GSC/Banana Kush, GSC/Extrema Wedding Cake, etc.
Trying to make it sound good. I have been moping for days. So much work goes into this and not to get the results you are after, is disappointing.
Anyway, I will pull these very soon and start again!
Thanks to all those that supported this grow...sorry to let you down!😞
This is the last week. They are currently in the dark getting ready for Chop, Chop in a day or so.
Only doing water this week. Checked my TDS and it was around 80PPM. Pretty low since we have added the RO system.
The smell hits you when you open the cab like a freight train. Some smelly treats in there!
Going skiing in a couple weeks. So stay tuned for next grow! 😎
Good News!!! I found a single Hermie that had a few branches with seeds! I thought the whole Harvest was going to be junk. It turned out to be better than I expected. So, never give up!
She is small but did not get to run a full cycle. That's what happens when you mix indica and sativa in the same cab. She has got some good structure and weight. Sorry, only the one photo.
