Hi guys :D Welcome to S03 of Buds - Growing experience!
This season I'll cultivate a strain selection for a few contests and some sponsored grows BUT all of them were strains that I was most curious about and having 30 top strains to select from, it was hard to define the best concidering, flavour, taste, effect, THC amount and visual appeal. I'm very pleased to announce that Sweet Seeds and Zamnesia gave me the opportunity to partially sponsor this grow season by supplying me wiht their strains of my choice.
For my hydro setup I'll be using the Green House Feeding Nutrient Starter Kit which I've got for participating in their contest. I still need to read into how much nutrients I'll need for this season since I'll run only automatic strains with the exception of Dark Phoenix which will be in the same reservoir as 2 other automatic strains. I'll also do something a bit different this time, because I'll also grow one strain in a RQS fabric pot and soil, which I never did before.
For the first time I'll also be using the PLANT SUCCESS ORCA LIQUID MYCORRHIZAE after reading a lot of positive things about the fungi and the product.
I've also learned a lot from my last grow season which ended in 2 plants dying off because of bacteria in my reservoirs and both res' were cleaned with hospital grade chemicals to remove 99.9% of all bacteria in both reservoirs before the start of this season.
Let's hope for the best and I hope that I'll have a lot of fun doing it :)

Hi guys!
This past week was a bit strange. I need to learn more about the GHF nutrients because I gave my plants 1/8 (for automatics) of the amount for the first/second week and after 2 days my plants went almost all pale, so that was definitely a deficiency. Then I added quite a bit more of these nutrients and I think I overdid it but the plants came back to color again (70-80%ish) so that's a good sign. To lower the 700ppm value I added around 20L of water, it's around 500 now. This should make it easier for the plants to jump back. I'll keep an eye on them, if the plants won't show signs of recovery, I'll remove half the water and add some more plain water to drive the ppm down even further.
Stay tuned guys

Hi guys,
another week has past, still not much to comment because the plant develops properly. I topped the plant and I'm very happy that it recovered almost instantly after a day or two. The orca myco works its wonders. The root system stretches every single day significantly which should pretty soon transfer more nutrients to the upper part of the plant. Can't stop looking at the beautiful white roots :D
Stay tuned guys.
Much love!

Hi guys,
I'm a few days behind with the update but here it finally is :D
Before I started working on them over the week, I switched the top around to be able to introduce all 70L of water. I've also decided to replace some plants so the bigger plants have more space to grow near the smallest ones.
Zkittlez amazes me every single day, It went after just 2 weeks and a few days into flowering. So it started its flowering stretch way before anybody else. The plant was topped a around a week ago, it recovered like a champ after 24h. Actually it didn't look like it was an issue at all. So a few days later I decided to defoliate the plant before I main-line it. The roots are getting bigger every day. It's by far the tallest plant which I had to mainline if I want an even canopy throughout the tent. When the others catch a bit up, I'll put a scrog net over them.
I might introduce a small amount of flowering nutes today. It looks healthy and strong, what can I say more :D I'm truly happy how good it looks for now.
No fuckups no more from last season. Everything seems to be on point. And please tell me how much you should not train Automatic strains 😂 It's as easy as it gets. You just have to make sure that you stop at the right time but topping, mainlining, defoliation, stem bending and stem pinching are all working as it would in normal feminized genetics.
See you soon guys!
Much love

Okay, let's get to the beloved Zkittlez!
This motherfucker stretched like crazy while everybody else was still a fuckin' baby (even tho they're all the same age).
I like that it's different. I'm happy that it keeps the flowering stage very close to the Red pure cbd which is next to it. It'll make my harvest a lot easier because these two will probably be the first I chop down.
I started feeding the plants bloom nutes + calmag. It all looks awesome, the plant grows very fast, I'm pretty amazed by it!
I've started training it and it seems to dig it.
More intel soon!

Hi guys!
Zkittlez is in full flowering mode. It's stretching but since I've topped it and are trying to main-line it. I keep it somehow under control because in early veg it stretched like crazy when all the other plants were still trying to grow new branches :D
I don't hesitate to defoliate all the leaves that are covering up ale the bud sites. It's in a hydro setup so it recovers in no time. This makes me work on automatic plants like on regular ones and I like it a lot :)
The roots are strong and its color is perfect imo. The buds are forming well. Not much else to say. All the conditions it's growing in are pretty much on point and I'm super happy about it :)

Hi guys,
This week I did something special. Something y'all probably gonna argue, but I did it anyway. I defoliated the shiiiiiiit out of every single plant in the tent 😎, a few weeks into blooming. I had the urge to lollipop the plants and start focusing the plants' energy distribution to the main stems and only the biggest forming branches and buds. Only time will tell if it was a good idea, but I took into consideration the fact that I'm running a pretty nice DWC setup and the plants are practically on point every single week. They are looking really good.
I also added 30 Liters of water with nutrients, they seem to dig it. The pH and PPM are also on point. They look super happy so the recovery time should be minimal, like less than 24h because of the knowledge from all the other defoliations (not that heavy tho) before this season.
So that's it for this week. Please comment on the uber heavy defoliation this week. What's your opinion? I wanna know!

Hi guys,
here's another update of the Zkittlez! The defoliation did a great job on the plant. It didn't even have to bounce back and the energy went straight to the buds. A week after, the buds look definitely thicker. 3 plants drink around 20L of water with nutrients per week (one res). Having Zkittlez / Runtz and Red Pure Auto CBD in the same res makes it a perfect match because all 3 of them smell extremely amazing. The super citrusy smell from the Red Pure Auto CBD, through the sweet smelling Zkittlez to the ultra fruity Runtz, this run is a blast! I really can't say much else that I've been loving this run very much so far. The conditions are on point, the plants are super happy, so am I.
Stay healthy!

Ladies and Gentlemen!
Right from the get go I encourage you to take a look at the gallery because this week is beautiful! I'm in love with this plant. It's the most mature plant in the tent. The buds are looking super awesome but they still need a few weeks until they're ready for harvest. I can imagine from experience how big they're going to be, and I like it already :D Other than that it's doing great. It's not stretching anymore, it's just getting denser. I can't wait to chop it down and give it a proper cure.
Just sit back, relax and enjoy the Zkittlez Trichome world!

Hi guys,
welcome to another update of the almost ready to harvest Zkittlez :D
These are the final weeks for this plant, I think that somewhere next week I'll probably chop it down, I just need to check on them beautiful Trichomes!
There is not much else to say about it. The buds are getting fatter every week. I adjusted the feeding, I lowered it by half. They seem to dig it better. I love the trichome action on this plant comparing it to the Runtz for example that needs a week or two more than Zkittlez. I can't wait to try it because the smell is super amazing already, and it transforms every few weeks to something a bit different than before. I love it!
Please enjoy some of the fine photographs I made for your pleasure :)

Hi guys,
welcome to the sweet update of the almost harvest ready Zkittlez! I love this plant. I have high hopes for the effects of it. I'd also love it to taste as good as it smells :D There's not much to report here because all the buds just got a bit bigger. One think I can also report on, is that Zkittlez has a ridiculous amount of trichomes! Compared to Runtz, it looks like Cali vs I-don't-know-what-the-fuck's-going-on weed. I've never seen such a heavy trichome producer to this day! Another thing is that it seems that most of the plants are growing a lot more trichomes than usually. I might be onto something here ;)
Stay tuned and enjoy a few great macro shots made just for your pleasure!

Zkittlez has been on my growing list for a long ass time! I've read so much great stuff about it that it finally made it to the selection for my 3rd grow season. All I can tell about this strain is that it's one of my fav now! The high is def more on the sativa side, I love the effects. It's uplifting, talkative and one of the greatest day time strains. It was also by far the frostiest strain I've ever grown! If you're looking for a great and tasty day time high I can't recommend it enough!
Growing Zkittlez went pretty much without any hiccups. This whole grow season was a dream! Zkittlez had some long branches and it was the first thc strain of this season that was ready for harvest after just 10 weeks (+1 week germination). It's been a breeze to grow and the nugs are big and hard. I was kind of wondering why this particular plant had a small amount of branches, but the ones that were growing, had beautiful buds. I'm overall satisfied with the result although I'd love to have more space to grow it. If there is a time for a free grow season, I'll def add it to the selection to try to maximize the yield.
@Ezzjaybruh, I've literally never had an issue topping and training autos in my life :D just make sure that the environment is in point or as close to it as possible and use your brain a bit and you'll be good (or rather your plants) :P
Looks good, nice job on picking Zkittlez. I'm about 6weeks into Flowering on my Zkittlez plant, feel free to check it out, just about to post some new pics myself
@MrJones, Thank you, Sir. They do indeed look healthy! It looks like Zkittlez will be the first one ready to harvest in a few weeks :) Can't wait because the smell is getting so muuuch better with every day :D
