I’m always excited to try a new strain, but I’m especially excited to try this one. Zamnesia has been super kind and sent me one of my most-wanted: Jack Herer Auto. My wonderful wife got to pick our next grow, and I’m super pumped she chose this one.
I’ll be planting in soil in a 5L pot. I’ll need to go by the local hydro shop and see if they’ve got mycorrhizal inoculants, but if not I’ll just go for it without. I won’t do much training or anything for this first one either, just to get a sense for the strain.
Thanks again to @zammi_official for the tester seeds. To check out their info on the strain and buy some, go here: https://www.zamnesia.com/uk/3325-zamnesia-seeds-jack-herer-automatic-feminized.html
Update: root established in 24 hours. Nice! It’s a little early but I potted in 5L of Biobizz all mix with 150mL of boiled water with Ecothrive Biosys at 1g/L. Excited!
Updating before we go away for a few days. Glad to see this one pop up quickly. Obviously haven’t done much yet at this stage but will be interested to see how this one goes—I have two more seeds thanks to Zamnesia, so I’ll probably stick with a little light LST for this first run.
Thanks again @zammi_official!
I was away for a week and came back to pretty modest growth. I was hoping for a bit more but nothing tragic happened, so hopefully it’ll pick up next week. Just a bit of bio grow and biosys, not too much water.
This one is really feeling the switch to 12/12 (for the Zamnesia White Widow I’ve also got going in the tent), in the sense that it’s still going slow. But no fuss or drama at all, just chugging along. A little stretchy but that’s to be expected when the light is set for the much bigger plant. All good with minimal nutes so far. Another happy week!
Thanks to @zammi_official for the tester seeds. Check them out folks.
Well, I learned that if you switch the lighting schedule for your photo plant, it’ll also flip your little auto that you sort of weren’t thinking about. So here we are: a small leggy plant that definitely won’t produce anything substantial at all. My mistake! I’ll keep it going and see what happens.
No nutes this week; I haven’t even watered this week since it’s not very thirsty and the soil is damp.
Wow, so tons of vertical growth this week on my White Widow. So much so that I ran out and bought a new tent! The old one was 60x60x140 and was a generic non name thing, but the new one is a Budbox Pro medium shorty (75x75x160), about the biggest tent I can manage at the minute. But super pleased with it—seems like very high quality and I got it for 40GBP cheaper than Amazon from my local hydro hobby store. Thanks guys!
As for this one: you can see she flipped to flower way too early and is really stretchy. But that’s okay, I learned! She’s flowering well and no fuss at all so far. Barely had any nutes to this point! The stretch hit this week, so hopefully it’ll be all bud growth from now on and we’ll see if we can eke a small harvest out.
Still going, still more or less happy. It put on another 7-8cm of growth this week. I think I’ll be lucky to get one solid nug, but at least we’re not having any nute issues! In fact I’m only watering and feeding once a week. Barely any attention demanded, so I’ll let it keep going and we’ll see.
All still chugging along this week. If I get an eighth from this one I’ll be happy, all things considered. A tiny bit of vertical growth but mostly seeing trichromes come out at this stage. Thanks Zamnesia for the tester!
Another week closer. It’s such a shame it flipped to flower so early because it’s been a good grower and absolutely no fuss otherwise. Oh well—next time. Mostly clear trichromes, but maybe another week or two once the pistils change. We’ll see!
Still going! Nothing special to report; trichromes pretty much all still clear so some time to go yet. I’ll probably harvest all my current plants at the same time, so this one might get chopped a bit early if the others are ready. Still very light on nutes and watering.
Hm: decision time. Obviously it’s not ready: probably 20% milky and plenty of bud growth left. Buds are pretty airy. But I need the space in the tent shortly… I’ve been flushing this week and it’s clearly not very happy. So do I hold up my other plants for this little one!?
Well, if you’ve seen the earlier entries you’ll know I ballsed this one up a bit by sticking it in a tent with photos and flipping the light schedule, which triggered flowering while it was still very little. So it forced flowering, which wasn’t great. It produced fifteen stress seeds, which I hope is good! But considering that, it did alright! The bud is tasty anyway. I harvested early too, but mostly to make space in the tent. Very much looking forward to a proper attempt soon.
Thanks Zamnesia for the tester seeds!
