Seedlings are already two weeks old - I've been busy lately so it's been two weeks in the Rockwool Cube. They both have healthy roots that went through the entire Rockwool Cube (about 1inch over)
I did rinse everything (bucket - Clay - tubes - etc)
Added 4gl of fresh water
PH was ~7.8
added Advanced Nutrients Bloom/Grow/Micro (32ml each)
PH then dropped to 5.8
I'm not sure yet if I will need to manually add some water in the next few days - or if the roots will quickly expand and move down to reach the solution. I'll monitor that.
For the moment I've put these two little girl in the 3x3 tent, along with the previous one I've grown. It's the same Northern Lights Auto but in regular soil.
I will harvest the mature one in about a week so not a problem at all.
Week 4 - Vegetation stage is well underway, both plants are growing fast and are developing healthy roots.
Today, I measured PPM, EC, PH & Temperature of both DWC tanks
Results:
PH: 6.1
EC: 2800
PPM: 1300
- Added 2 litters of fresh water into both tanks to dilute PPM/EC. 1300 is quit high for early vegetation stage.
- Tested the solution again
Results:
PH: 5.9
PPM: 750
EC: 1900
- Added 5ml to each tanks of Advanced Nutrients Sensi-CalMag
- Adjusted the PH to 5.7
I suspect I have been over feeding in early veg stage, 1300 ppm was quite high for weeks 2-3. I think it may be caused by the plant consuming more water than nutrients, and since I didn't made any adjustments for two weeks the solution got more concentrated. Will monitor PPM closely now :-)
Cheers!
I've been struggling with orange/yellow leaves... and I've realized it came from my PH - always rising over 6.
I've put a routine in place to monitor it every day and they are going better now.
Notice how different those two girls are! Same seeds and started at same time.
