Still waiting for germination. A part of me worries that I buried the seeds a bit too deep (ended up probably closer to 3/4"-1" deep). However I know these things can take time so trying to be patient. What is the longest you would wait for a seed to sprout before giving up?

If you planted too deep you can very carefully scrape away some of the soil so the seed is closer to the surface. If you go digging for your seed be VERY careful. The tap root will emerge first and will go quite deep before it starts pushing the seed up. If you bump the seed too hard you will break it off the tap root and it's dead. I soak my seeds in water for 24-36 hours then I plant them in soil. My fastest seed had a sprout above ground about 72 hours after it touched water. 4 or 5 days after the seed got wet to sprout above ground is my average. I start to get nervous if I don't see a sprout in 7 days. If I don't see anything after 10 days I will gently dig to find the seed and see how it's doing.

2 out of 3 seeds sprouted. They are stretching a bit now so I lowered the light a little bit. Other issues I've had are with small flying bugs from the soil. They are leaving the plants alone though so I've just out some sticky traps in to help control that and added more airflow with fans because they have trouble flying in it.

I had a bunch of issues with humidity being low as we switch to colder drier weather. My humidifier broke so a new one is on the way.

End of week 3. They are really starting to grow. The one on the left is starting to catch up to the bigger one but has a flimsy stem. I am trying to get more direct airflow to stimulate stem strengthening. I bought a new humidifier and made the mistake of using our very hard tap water which shot mineral dust all over the the tent and frosted the leaf edges. I have cleaned it up and switched the water and it works great now.

There was a point earlier this week when the plants went limp. This was right after topping and a bit of super cropping. I thought I had been giving enough water but they were thirstier then I thought after that. After I upped the water they are bouncing back and growing. I will do some more LST and maybe tuck some of the large fan leaves out of the way to get more light penetration. I may add some organic top dressed amendments this week or next.

It has been a good week. I have been doing lots of LST to try to bend the branches outward to fill the canopy of the tent better. After I topped it in earlier weeks lots of new colas have been popping up. I've done some light defoliation to uncover the bud sites. I have been giving more water lately as it has been drinking more. I have upped the wattage and the temp and don't see signs of stress yet.

Battling fungus gnats. Got more sticky traps and let the soil dry out. I have nematodes and predator mites coming to finish them off.

I changed the tent around for flower after I took a few clones. They have been at 12/12 for about a week now and showing signs of flowering. I added a scrog net to help balance the canopy and keep everything from stretching too high. I stripped most foliage below the net. My fungus gnat infestation is wiped out now after using a combo of yellow sticky pads, beneficial nematodes followed by predatory mites. I barely see any flies now. Definitely going to put these guys in fresh soil next time to avoid the problem before next grow.

Pretty boring week. Kept weaving colas through the net to try to space things out better and keep the canopy low. I also went from 2 fans on the tent floor down to 1. I took the other fan and hung it in the too corner blowing downward partly onto the light and partly on the canopy. I bought an extra set of ratchet ropes so I can also get the light higher than with the metal hanger extension I had on 2 ratchet ropes. Other than that just gave it an amendment and trying to figure out how to water more efficiently so they aren't getting to drooping from too little or the pot is staying wet too long. I find them inconsistent day to day in how much water they want.

They are starting to get sticky and smell stronger. I've been trying to dial in the VPD better as it was too hot and dry for a while and showing signs of stress on the bigger plant on the right side. I had to reduce my LED intensity a bit to reduce temp and let humidity come up a bit. They seem happier since the change earlier this week.

Just watering and watching the slow fade. The pheno on the left has yet to really start fading. The pheno on the right has begun to fade all over and fades more with each watering. I have mostly switched to bottom watering now and only occasionally wet the soil above to keep the fungus gnats at bay. Update: Checked Trichomes on 12-7-2021 and all seem to be mostly cloudy at this point. I am waiting for more amber to appear. The buds are getting thicker each week and the smell is quite strong and dank right now. I am thinking they may be ready in another 2 or 3 weeks tops.

They are dank, sticky and sugary now. I have been feeding them nothing but water for these final few weeks. They are fading very nicely with lots of red hues. The smell is getting quite strong first thing in the morning especially. The buds keep getting larger and larger. I am excited to harvest soon. Trichomes are mostly milky, waiting for more amber to appear.

More waiting and patience. Still developing and not enough amber yet to harvest. Maybe another week or 2.

Both are ready for harvest. 1 has all cloudy and some amber and the other is mostly cloudy with little to no amber. I started a pure dark cycle and will harvest tomorrow morning after they have had 48 hours in the dark. I stopped watering them a few days ago so they were nicely faded going into the dark.

Both of these Bubba Kush phenos dried and cured nicely. My smaller plant #1 yielded the best tasting and smelling buds with a dank citrus smell with strong undertones of blueberry and butter. The #2 larger yield plant was a bit spicier with stronger pine and citrus notes. #1 smoked the best and had the best high, I got more stoned off a bit of this than the strongest store bought I've had in a long time. It gave a strong body high that melted pain and anxiety with a bit of a euphoric head rush. High lasts quite long too. #2 was similar but didn't quite have the same pleasant taste as #1 and smoked a tiny bit harsher and was a bit less strong.

It was fun to grow. Very forgiving. I would do less training and more veg time next run.
