Seeds soaked for one week in water until tap roots were about an inch long. Placed both into tiny pots filled with Fox Farms Ocean forest two days ago. Happy to welcome these little babies today. ☺️
Tap root already showing at bottom of tiny two inch pot two days after sprout. Should I transfer to larger pot now to avoid any root damages or do I let the seedling get more established to avoid stressing the plant? Thank you for any help!
This little baby’s tap root started growing too fast for her own good, I’m afraid. Since she was transplanted so quickly I feel her growth has been stunted and it’s difficult to get the watering correct in such a large pot to plant ratio. “sigh” Oh well we will see how she turns out. I still plan on raising her as my own. Fingers crossed.
Is this overwatering or is the soil too hot (FFOF)? Week three now and growth seems slow, likely due to an early transplant? Removed the ziplock I had over her for humidity and have a fan going 24/7 now. Thank you for any advice! :)
I’m no soil expert but it’s my understanding that Fox Farm Ocean Forest may be a little hot for a seedling. That’s why most people start their seeds in some happy frog because it’s basically got nothing in the way pf nutrients.
Your seedling is already in there. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. She may be a bit janky but she’ll come around and adapt to her soil. Just gotta get through a bit of a growing pain. All in all though I would keep her going. My Jane was much jankier than this and she yielded me 97 grams. Just keep her watered properly and she’ll be fine. 🤙
