Back to the Future #2 Auto by Tastebudz

Used paper towel germination method. She grew a nice tap root in just under 48 hrs., then broke ground only 36 hrs after that. Very quick! Medium was pre-soaked with ph’d water and voodoo juice. Just have to keep it alive at this point!

Beginning of week 2 and she’s still just building up a root system. The seedling looks a bit small… not too short and definitely healthy, but small. Not too worried at this point though! At this point I’m watering every 3 days or so when the pot completely dries out. Currently at 300ml and increase slightly with each watering. Still spray misting periodically seeing as the humidity in my tent is lower than optimal for this stage of growth. Mostly the topsoil, but also a little won the leaves. ———————————————————————— By the end of the week she’s showing, what I believe to be, a magnesium deficiency. Added 2ml/L of cal mag on last watering, and also made sure my pH is correct. I have another (different strain) plant showing a similar deficiency, so I suspect slightly high pH is the culprit, time will tell!

Beginning of week 3 and things are going really well! The magnesium issues from last week were a minor setback, and leaves bounced back quickly. Seeing vigorous daily growth now, and plan on topping this plant at some point this week, aiming for day 17 but will take it as I see it. Just about time for her to start stretching, should be a good week! ———————————————————————— Successfully topped on day 17. Day to day growth is looking really good, might take a day to recover but expect this one to bounce back quickly! By day 20 she’s bouncing back perfectly, expecting a good week next week.

Beginning of week 4, was away for a couple days so I don’t have photos from the beginning of the week. On day 24 I’m really seeing her start to make a bushy type structure. Had to clip a couple of fan leaves that were really starting to block some lower branches. Really pleased with the shape I’m seeing! Will be slowly starting to add nutes later in the week, but I’ll see how it goes. Watering 750ml at this point and plan to increase to 1-1.5L by the end of the week.

Beginning of week 5, and she is still in veg mode. On average, autos would show signs of flowering at this point, but that may just mean this one is gonna be a beast!. Expecting to see signs of pre-flower this week, followed by a healthy stretch. Watering 1L at a time T this point, will increase as needed, based on the amount of run-off I get. Due to topping, it’s really starting to get bushy, may have to do some light defoliation this week, will be playing it by ear. ———————————————————————— On day 31 I’m noticing the first pre-flowers. A bit late, but I can’t complain about the extra veg time! Flowering should be a week or so away.

I believe this will be the first week of flowering, although she’s right on the verge at the beginning of the week. Seeing pistils concentrated in future bud sites. Still watering only 1L at a time, but will be upping the dose of nutes this week. Will hold off on AN Big Bud for now to promote stretching for now though. Hoping to see some nice stretch throughout the next 1-2 weeks, we’ll see!

It’s now week 7 and she is going very strong! Really excited with how this one is going, am still expecting a little stretch still as it settles into full flowering mode. Will adjust bloom nutrients to higher doses once the stretching slows/ stops, but for now will stay steady.

It’s now week 8 and flowering is in full swing, and the plant has reached it final height, definitely had a nice stretch and I’m happy with the overall structure of this one. Still only watering 1L at a time, may try to push it to more, but may also just stay at this volume. Just now starting to see trichomes forming on the bud sites. Expecting some nice building/ bulking over the next couple of weeks!

It’s now week 9 and things are going along nicely! Just in the bulking up phase now, and she’s building up some nice top buds, with nice sized nuggets all the way down the stem. Nutes will probably stay where they are now, until I swap the big bud for overdrive sometime in the next 2 weeks. Just starting to develop a light scent, but not enough yet to really tell us flavor profile.

She is going along very nicely, packing on lots of weight on the top colas! Really saw a lot of progress over the last week, but this one clearly has a while yet to go still. Can’t wait to see how much it can pack on! Also starting to get a stronger odor now, a very pleasant piney but also OG funk type smell. Nothing to do but let this one do it’s thing for the time being.

Nearing the end phases now. Have swapped out the Big Bud for Overdrive, to get her to bulk up every last bit I can! I’m thinking this one has about 2-3 weeks left, but we’ll see how it goes.
