deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one!
I’m starting the fall-winter season, with the excitement of a kid and the experience of two years of indoor organic marijuana cultivation. Back in the last century, I lived in subtropical areas where a lot of Congo was smoked, and I grew outdoor African varieties that I brought myself from Gambia, Sierra Leone, Cameroon, Morocco, or Senegal. That was a long time ago; the grows were much simpler. I just needed sheep manure, water, and the tropical sun to get majestic plants. Now I’ve found that everything is more sophisticated, though not necessarily better, and I’m referring to the torrent of strains resulting from "a thousand crosses" with a thousand compound names that offer endless colors and aromas, accelerated hybridizations by the industry in many cases, producing varied or unstable phenotypes. Sometimes growing several seeds of these poly-hybrid strains turns into a lottery or a game of "let's see what comes out"; this time I’ve decided to look for landrace sativa strains. I want to find my references; I don’t care about the smell, I don’t care about the taste, I’m just looking for the effect lost in the mixing, but it’s very difficult. In fact, I’ve only managed to get one landrace strain for this season, and it’s not the one in this diary.
A week ago, I started germinating eight seeds from eight different sativa strains; 7 have germinated. Along the way, I lost Thai Chocolate from PEV Seeds, and I’ve replaced it with Nevill's Haze from Green House, which I’ll publish if it germinates in a week. I’m going to split the plants into two grow tents; in the end, the season will be a good comparison between different sativas from faraway and exotic places.
Alright, the first one, called Congo from ACE Seeds, an F1 hybrid of Congolese sativas (Bangi Congo, Congo #3) crossed with Pakistan Chitral Kush (nothing is perfect)! 🤔 70% sativa / 30% indica. The producer talks about a flowering period of 8-10 weeks indoors, great resistance to pests, robustness, medium height, and good branching, with a clean, positive, and energetic effect of great quality, perfect for having an open and active attitude during the day. Really? 😁
This morning, I chose to smoke my favorite sativa, the sun is coming through the window, music is my companion, the stage is set, and I’m rushing to publish the second diary of the season... let the party begin!!
- Until next week...

14 days have passed since I put the seed in the substrate. The plant is determined to survive! 🤸♂️
This strain already stands out from the other six; it's shorter and sturdier, was the first seed to germinate, and its first true leaves are spreading, eager to start their photosynthesis work.
In the photos, you can see a slight burn on one of the leaves; I've had the same symptom with two other seedlings, and it's due to a poor light setup. Unlike all my previous grows, where I've used fluorescents (9500K) or CFL (6500K) without any issues, with these seedlings, I started using a 7700K (36w) LED panel at 30cm. After 3 days of this setup, the first signs of light excess began to appear, so I decided to change the configuration and move the seedlings to the tent (60x60x140cm) where I have the Vipar Spectra P1000 lamp installed. Currently, the lamp is running at just over a third of its power (29w) and I've placed it 60cm above the seedlings. The effect has been immediate; it seems the new light is to the seedlings' liking. I’ll maintain this setup for 24 hours until it’s time to transplant to the final pot. Additionally, I've set up a small fan that gently moves the seedlings and helps strengthen the stems. 🍃
- Until next week...

deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🖐️👨🌾
This is the growing story of this strain and seven others, all pure sativa or sativa-dominant. I'm looking for plants, flavors, and smells that take me back to my old memories, where smoking marijuana was always a social experience and above all a rebellious attitude, which undoubtedly had a significant impact on the rest of my life. Today for me, smoking marijuana is just an acceptable solitary vice, growing it at home allows me self-sufficiency in consumption; I just aim to have my box full of the best marijuana I can grow. 🤷♂️
Relentlessly, I've decided to search for those old sativas all over the world, in this diary from Central Africa😍... of course, as long as the truck holds up! 🚚🚶♂️🤷♂️
21 days have passed since I put the seed in the substrate. I'm growing this seedling on a mixed schedule, indoors for 10 hours sharing a grow tent with all the others, then I take them to the window until dusk (+10 hours).
The seedling is progressing without issues! 🤸♂️ The formation of the second node is underway, this strain is the shortest of all, but it's beautiful, its leaves are perfect and its stem is the first to become woody!
This week is the first watering to recover the moisture lost over these 3 weeks. I've made a mix with my black bean auxins, honey, and bio-fermented pumpkin and minerals with Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA). The day after this watering, when part of the upper substrate has dried, I sprinkle diatomaceous earth; this product has several advantages for this stage of growth. It protects against crawling insects, for this the powder must be dry, it reflects sunlight to prevent the substrate of the small cup from overheating when I take it out in the sun, it prevents stem rot from excess moisture since it is absorbent, and finally, it provides silicon that helps harden and give elasticity to stems and leaves.
- Until next week...

The fourth week of life concludes; three days ago, I transplanted to a 7-liter fabric pot.
The transplanting process to the final pot is crucial for me, and I do it in three distinct stages over a period of 3-4 days... how? 🙄🤷♀️
- First day:
- I prepare the substrate carefully, mixing 2 or 3 types of commercial substrate based on their composition and density. I add, to improve drainage and moisture and/or nutrient retention: Perlite, Vermiculite, Zeolite, and Coco Fiber; I enrich the mix with worm humus, homemade bokashi, and goat and sheep manure, and finally, I add the minerals at a rate of 1 gram per liter of substrate, this time, 3 types of clay: Montmorillonite, Kaolin, and Red Illite, also, basalt rock powder, pumice stone, wood ash, Phosphorite (1.5g/l), and ground Leonardite (4g/l). This time I forgot to add Azomite, one of the most important minerals for its extensive range of microelements; I will dissolve the micronized Azomite in water and do a deep watering, ensuring total distribution throughout the substrate. To finish, I added my charcoal preparation with Leonardite activated with Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA); the charcoal retains nutrients and gives structure to the soil, and by introducing it with MMA, I ensure inoculation of Microorganisms throughout the substrate.
- Before transplanting, I deeply water the small seedling container to prevent it from crumbling. In the transplant hole, I sprinkle my black bean auxins to promote rooting. I don't do the first watering until 24 hours have passed; this way, the excess moisture from the small container distributes, by capillarity, through the new immediate substrate. At this stage, the roots grow by the minute, and this initial moisture helps guide the roots.
• Second day:
The small roots are already touching the dry substrate of the new pot; they are thirsty, and it's time for me to do the first deep watering. This watering is very important for me; it serves to moderately moisten the entire substrate, watering with an amount of water that represents approximately 15% of the pot's capacity. E.g.: 7-liter pot = 1 liter of initial watering.
But the main function of this watering is to activate the substrate's microbiology, thus promoting root expansion and plant growth. For this, I include in the watering some of my liquid Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA) preparations and sweeten it with natural honey, which is an excellent source of sugars and contains a multitude of enzymes that help with rooting and the beginning of microbiology propagation, which in turn will start to dissolve and mineralize the organic matter of the substrate and the minerals... I water through the saucer and over the substrate, in a proportion of 1/3.
• Third day:
I fill the pots with substrate up to the edge, and in the case of fabric pots, I also fill the saucer with river stones that mimic mother rock and retain moisture while aerating the base, without the risk of substrate stagnation. I don't want to lose a single centimeter of soil in the container; hours after the first watering, the substrate has dropped about 2-3 cm, so I fill this space with dry material from my own production 😋, I save the leaves from defoliations and dry stems, utilizing the pre-digested mulch from previous crops, and lately, I've been practicing to ensure that this material has no larvae, insect eggs, or pathogens; I microwave it for a few minutes!! 🤪 I have to say the results are excellent; before, in trying to keep the microbiology intact from the reused mulch, I couldn't get rid of the fungus gnats, but now they have completely disappeared, my last advanced crop is pest-free!! 🤠
Well, three days after transplanting, the seedling is expanding everywhere—leaves, stems, and buds; it's going to be a fantastic grow!! 🖐️👨🌾💦🌞
I keep these new crops on a mixed schedule of 20 hours of light, 10 hours of indoor light under the excellent light of the Vipar P1000 lamp at 50% power (48w) and 30cm from the tops of the seedlings, then 10 more hours in the windows catching the free and unmatched sunlight! :🌞... pot here, pot there, that's my life as an organic grower, I know nothing, but I want to understand everything!!
Well, that's all for today... doing is understanding, fellow growers... starting the morning by smoking my favorite sativa leads me to write these freaky paragraphs! 🤷♀️
- Until next week...

This is the growing story of a hybrid strain named Congo, just hearing its name immediately took me back to my old memories, on an African trip, where I searched for the original Congolese that once captivated me! 💘💘
- 35 days have passed since I launched the seed into the substrate, life continues unstoppable! 🌿💦🌞
- Definitely, the plant seems satisfied in its new pot and substrate, the stem is strengthening and each generation of leaves is sharper than the previous one!
- So far, the morphology is compact with a short average internodal distance, I think I can achieve a manageable-sized grow, although this growing season I have considerably reduced the amount of light I normally used at this growth stage in order to compact the crops, but the brutal increase in my electricity bill forces me to strictly apply the concept of sustainable growing... let's see what comes out! Still, I have increased the lamp's power by 10%, as I had to raise it due to the height of the crops.
- Three days ago, I called Doctor Apical to make a clean cut at the apex of the plant above the fourth node, I hope he forgives me! 🙏 Controlling the height is crucial, increasing vital production!!
- Midweek, I did the second deep watering, a mix with my lacto-fermented auxins and minerals to help distribute energy after the apical cut, Activated Mountain Microorganisms with pumpkin and chitosan to strengthen the crop and continue with the inoculation of Microorganisms in the substrate, my animal protein amino acids extracted by enzymatic hydrolysis to provide extra energy and promote vegetative growth, all sweetened with natural heather honey! 🌱💐... the plant loved the menu!! 👌

This is the growing story of a hybrid strain named Congo. Just hearing its name immediately took me back to my old memories; I started an African journey in search of the original Congolese, plants or people! 💘💘
At the end of the sixth week of life and the last of the vegetative growth, today I’m switching to flowering schedule 12/12, because at the rate this plant and others are going, I’m going to need double the growing space.
This week I’ve tied down the branches to start shaping the grow. The plant is increasing its water consumption. This week I did the third and fourth deep watering. The first was based on the addition of auxin and cytokinin hormones in the substrate and through foliar application to promote cell division, energy distribution in the shoots, and root expansion. The second was a nutrient-rich watering with my multi-fruit lacto-ferment NPK and Mountain Microorganisms activated with nutrients and minerals.

deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers and also to those fortunate enough not to be one! 🙋♂️👨🌾
This is a story, in chapters, of a self-sufficient organic grow, with a hybrid strain named Congo. She's short but sturdy, with short internodes and strong branches, living in the best home I've been able to give her (check the substrate composition in week four), and I feed her like a love so she doesn't fade away! 💘💘
Seventh week of the grow, second since the apical cut and first since the transition to flowering, the plant continues its growth and blah, blah, blah, water consumption is increasing, this week two deep waterings and blah, blah, blah... I'm getting bored! 🤷♀️
To combat the significant increase in relative humidity and the appearance of fungi, during the dark period I'm gathering the eleven current crops in a room with a dehumidifier, maintaining a relative humidity during that period, around 55-60%. Also, this week with very cloudy days, I keep all the plants under indoor light; if sunny days return, I'll take my plants out for a couple of hours to enjoy the free and unmatched sunlight.

• WITH YOUR PERMISSION, I REBEL... 💃👨🌾
In the rain-soaked garden
Without Guru, without Method, without Master
Just you and me, nature and the Holy Spirit
Without Guru, without Method, without Master
Seventh week since I started the new growing season, after a brief break, a week where I question, once again, the purpose of these weekly diaries on GD...
After more than two years publishing my organic grows, learning, sharing, tirelessly, knowledge, formulas, and techniques, writing from the emotion and euphoria of the eternal learner, without apology, trying at the same time, to lighten things up with my anti-heroes and memes, losers who have had the chance to express themselves freely, maybe because I am one of them, or all of us! 👨🚀... all good! It's been fun and has allowed me to better structure my experience... but I'm tired!!
The drift I observe in GD doesn't sit well with me, the enjoyment I once found has gradually become, for me, vain and futile. I have sought knowledge and shared it... Is anyone there? I have maintained independence from the soluble fertilizer industry, whether organic or chemical synthesis, and their predetermined nutrition tables, I have resisted some sponsorships... because some ask for more than they give! 😯 and now I find myself like Simon in the desert, but still, I prefer to keep my grow diaries clean and free of dust and chaff... to be or to have!!
There is a trend, or rather, a race for "likes," in which I have also participated, mostly related to sponsorships, and also with those who, lacking other things, want to earn their place in heaven on GD... How many gurus will there be next month?... and the month after? Usually, I receive "likes" from strangers, on old comments from here and there, also kind messages in my grow diaries, but mostly serialized, ignoring any context... all waiting for reciprocity, and I have behaved this way until now with this matter, but I observe that this leads to a loss of authenticity and even a perversion of the system, because I believe that the interest no longer lies in the grow diaries. For my part, I will not return any "like" that is decontextualized or systematized, whether in my diaries or outside of them; I appreciate and encourage communication among growers, and I am always open, with enthusiasm, to share my experience with anyone who wishes.
As for my grow diaries, I will be more cryptic, to see if I can rescue some time and energy to do other things and finish the ongoing grow diaries.
That's all for today...

This is a story of a self-sufficient organic grow of a hybrid strain named Congo.
Eighth week of life, second since the switch to flowering, a top cut fifteen days ago and another two days ago to slow down vertical growth.
Plant with a bushy morphology, with lots of good branching, increasing water consumption, watering every two days... all good!
This week I added a side quantum LED panel with a color spectrum of 450nm, I turn it on every half, the function of this panel is to help with compacting, leaf expansion, and strengthening the branches.

This is a story of a self-sufficient organic grow of a hybrid strain named Congo.
Ninth week of life, third since the switch to flowering, an apical cut made 20 days ago and another 9 days ago to slow down vertical growth... but it keeps growing! 🤷♀️
This week the plant has continued to grow, and the foliage has thickened; the blue light panel is noticeable! The new leaves are already pointing to being thin and pointed!!
Water consumption is high, watering every two days... all good! This week a light watering to not hinder the important hormonal change that comes with the switch to flowering. 😯
For now, I maintain a foliar application every 3 days with Horsetail extract for fungus control, due to the high humidity; the dehumidifier doesn't stop!! all good!!
Pre-flowering has begun, the first pistils are already showing on all the buds, which are many, and growth is noticeable day by day.

Well, since the plants at these stages of growth don't have much more to say, today I want to talk about two formulations of soluble bio-nutrients that I'm trying out this week, after being in anaerobic fermentation for 6 months for one and 10 months for the other... really stimulating!!
These homemade bio-fertilizers perfectly align with my concept of self-sufficient, independent, and clandestine grows, but above all rebellious, for everything it means to me, and the day I manage to replace electric light with sunlight in my grows, the circle will be completely closed.
Both are based on the activation of Mountain Microorganisms, from the two Solid Mountain Microorganism (MMS) cultures that I maintain with different strains collected from various virgin forests in my area; during the fermentation process, the microorganisms propagate, solubilize nutrients, and mineralize organic matter; furthermore, they chelate the minerals present in the formula; the longer the anaerobic fermentation, the greater the amount of nutrients and minerals that are hydrolyzed.
I have found that with the regular and continuous application of activated mountain microorganisms (MMA), I maintain a high rate of decomposition of the organic matter and minerals present in the substrate; there is no limit to the application of MMA!!, there is no danger of saturation or over-fertilization; what I achieve is to greatly accelerate the natural processes of decomposition of organic matter and therefore the assimilation of nutrients; the MMA provide the nutrients and minerals that the plant requests,
How long does a Microorganism live? How long does it take for a bacterium to become a grandmother, great-grandmother, or great-great-grandmother? Do they live minutes, hours...? what I have experienced is that with a constant inoculation of MMA, the organic matter of the mulch completely decomposes and turns into humus in the period of a grow, approximately; I add several times about 100-125g of dry matter to the mulch, which eventually disappears; I also make regular applications of solid amendments on the surface with guanos, algae, meals, etc.; finally, for me, it is more efficient to create substrate mixes that prioritize aeration, drainage, and cation exchange, with hardly any added nutrients, just minerals, except for some worm humus and bokashi that I add to the substrate; I prefer it, for being more efficient and controllable, than creating super substrates, with which I experimented extensively in my first grows.
These soluble bio-nutrients will replace some similar formulas that were running out, but I do not discard them; as they run out, I am making a second activation of Microorganisms, which will give rise to a second generation of microbiology and will continue the hydrolysis of the nutrients or minerals present; I will keep the barrels closed for as long as the new formulas last... and back to square one!!
From the fourth generation of Microorganisms, these will be suitable for human consumption... but that’s another story! 🤷♀️
• MMA Ultra (Activated Mountain Microorganisms in liquid form with nutrients and minerals) - 02/05/21
This is a very complex formula that alone would be enough to carry any grow from start to finish; it includes several vegetables (Pumpkin, carrot, and garlic) for their properties and vitamins, also three types of guanos (bat, bird, and mealworm) these guanos provide a great wealth of trace elements, in addition to NP; three minerals (Phosphorite, Azomite, and leonardite), and to finish, a bit of Kelp, and papain enzymes that will help convert protein (N) into amino acids.
To start the fermentation, I used whey from neighboring sheep, alkaline spring water that will balance the acidification of the preparation, organic molasses, fresh yeast, and my Solid Mountain Microorganisms (MMS). Since February is a cold time, I kept the barrel warm during the first month to accelerate fermentation; after that, it has been closed and in the dark until today.
•• Second formula:
MMA Mineral (Activated Mountain Microorganisms in liquid form with minerals) 05/08/21
This bio-preparation guarantees the presence of all the minerals from the periodic table, also essential macro elements (P, K, Mg, Ca, S), thanks to the addition of 12 powdered minerals (Azomite, Montmorillonite, Basalt, Phosphorite, Kaolin, Illite, Ash, Pumice, Dolomite, Leonardite, Epsom salt, and Potassium sulfate); it is designed to be used from the end of the vegetative growth stage.
The procedure and fermentation elements are the same as the previous bio-fertilizer; in this case, to accelerate the chelation or solubilization of the minerals, I used double the amount of my Solid Mountain Microorganisms (MMS).
The main component of these bio-ferments is the Mountain Microorganisms, which solubilize the rest of the components, but they can also be replaced by whey, and then we would make a Lacto ferment, where the lactic acid and lactic acid bacteria from the whey are also very effective for chelating minerals, mainly rock phosphate; lacto ferments work very well for foliar nutrition and as a prebiotic.
Finally, it can also be replaced by fresh manure, freshly out of a cow that grazes freely; here there are a series of bacteria, but mainly Bacillus subtilis, in addition to all the nutrients from the manure itself that make this preparation the star of all of them, but I can't talk more because I have no practical experience; my wife forbade me from bringing manure into the house... so another time! 🤷♀️
If any grower is interested in making any formula, I can provide the proportions of the ingredients, etc. 🙋♂️👨🌾

deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋♂️👨🌾
This is a story of a self-sufficient organic grow of a hybrid strain called Congo.
Tenth week of life, fourth since the transition to flowering, pre-flowering has begun! The plant continues to grow and strengthen, this week it has grown 15cm in height, the lateral branches are popping out everywhere, the new leaves are thin and pointy, a true sativa spider!!
Despite the low temperatures, the plant has a high water consumption, watering every two days, this frequency allows me to provide very varied nutrition and the plant is appreciating it. This week, to help with the cold, I gave the plant "hot soup," like my grandmother used to do, I heated all the mixes to 20°C and always sweetened with molasses.
My battle against mold and high relative humidity levels is succeeding, I do periodic foliar applications with horsetail extract or chamomile infusion, I keep the humidity levels around 60% with a dehumidifier and good ventilation, the first signs of mold that appeared two weeks ago on the lower leaves of all the crops have completely stopped!
Additionally, the water I get from the dehumidifiers (EC: 0.07) works very well for watering, mixing it with mountain water gives a final EC of 0.15, which allows me to slightly increase the nutrient concentration, although my nutrition strategy is based on feeding a little with each watering, I usually don’t go above EC levels of 1.8, the common range is around EC: 1.0/1.2.
Currently, I have 8 plants, and according to their height, I place them in one or another grow tent so that the canopies are level with each other.

This is a story of a self-sufficient organic grow, of a hybrid strain named Congo.
Fifth week since the switch to flowering, it seems that vertical growth has stopped, and thank goodness, because I'm almost at my ceiling! The plant is off to flower formation!
This strain, as I see its evolution, deserves a grow tent all to itself and plenty of light; the bushy shape and great branching would lead to huge buds everywhere. This week I changed the side panel from 7700K to another one of 3000K + 660nm, all the plants in the tent are in flowering and this color temperature suits them better. Currently, I have 3 grow tents running, I hope to harvest one of them in the next 2 weeks and then I will increase the light intensity in the other two for the last weeks of flowering of this and other strains.
This week 3 deep waterings and the first surface feeding, with a mix of mulch, bokashi, and various organic components... the microorganisms are partying since that day!! 👨🌾👍
So far, it's been an easy grow that is showing very good moments... and there's still a lot to go!! 💃😁🕺

This is a story of a self-sufficient organic grow, of a hybrid strain named Congo. Not much to report in the sixth week of flowering and a lot to enjoy from this elegant plant, which gifts me splendid moments of forming flowers, long white pistils peek out from everywhere, accompanied by fine and pointed leaves... life is beautiful! 💃👩🌾 This week, after the last watering, I added dry matter to the mulch (sticks, leaves, shavings...)... tasty food for the microorganisms!! I continue with varied nutrition, in water mixes at 20°C, the great size of this plant and the multitude of budding shoots need extra energy, I’ve given it with my animal protein amino acids and my humic acid hydrolysate with potassium, the plant responds immediately by expanding the leaves and floral shoots... until next week 🙋♂️

deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🖐️👨🌾
This is a story of self-sufficient organic growing, of a hybrid strain called Congo. Fantastic! The evolution of the plant, the flowering buds cover all the branches, fine leaves accompany them!, the appearance is sativa!
As for nutrition, this week 3 waterings, the first two with very light mixtures aimed at dissolving extra nutrients present in the substrate, the third watering more concentrated with my potassium hydrolysate from leonardite and phosphorite (humate PK) with Activated Mountain Microorganisms in liquid form, to boost the growth of the flowering buds. Water consumption is very high, watering every two days, I have increased the humidity level in the pot, as the large size of the plant and the multitude of branches need water pressure to mobilize nutrients throughout the plant.
The most notable thing this week has been the sunny days, these allow me to reduce the artificial light time by two hours per grow tent (I have 3), then I take all my pots out for 2 and a half hours and tirelessly chase the rays of sunlight that come through my windows, I really enjoy seeing the plants exposed to the inimitable and free sunlight! 🌞💡
Until next week...

deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋♂️🌱 This Christmas we keep growing Marijuana!! All for the cause!! 👈🧙♂️👍
This is a story of self-sufficient organic cultivation, of a hybrid strain named Congo.
This beautiful sativa bush continues its path uninterrupted, everything is going well and I'm just focused on making tasty watering recipes to keep Congo very happy... and fatten it up, because I can't wait to smoke it!!
Have a great week because the rays of the sun have continued to come through the windows, the buds are starting to take shape and are growing vigorously everywhere, the large leaves from the beginning have fallen, making way for thinner and more elegant ones!
The large stature of the plant with many long branches, now populated by flowers and new small leaves, allows for good light entry for the entire plant, I hope to develop all the shoots from the bottom of the plant to the canopy, I plan to turn off a tent, for harvest, in about a week, this tent has 140w, and when I turn it off, I will increase the light intensity in the one where I grow Congo, I will have the 2700K + 660nm canopy panel working at 100% and with the side panel of 3000k + 660nm I will do the same, in total an increase of 42w, in the last two weeks of cultivation I will raise the MH TS1000 canopy light (150w) to 100%, currently, I have it working at 100w.
This week two multi-component waterings to maintain the health and growth of the plant, both with molasses and Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA) in liquid form, the first with a lacto-ferment of fruits predominant in PK and homemade Ormus from the Cantabrian Sea, a fantastic product very easy to make and that I have been using for over 2 years with very good results, it’s my particular CalMag, but much, much more! Ormus contains over 80 minerals, the main ones are Mg, Ca, S, K, most of the rest are present in a format called monoatomic or formed by a single atom, in practice, this format is prepared to easily merge with other minerals, increasing cation exchange in the substrate, or in other words, nutrient assimilation; Ormus is alkaline PH, and for me, the ideal complement to regulate PH in many watering mixes with very acidic Bio and Lacto ferments, I encourage everyone interested to seek information on studies of the use of Ormus in agriculture...
the second watering based on humic acids with PK, I obtain through alkaline hydrolysis of leonardite and phosphorite (Humate PK), this is also a high PH product, which helps me regulate acidic mixes, whenever I use this product I do it together with some of my formulas of Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA), Humate is also known as liquid organic matter, this is immediate digestion food for microbiology, leonardite is organic matter with millions of years (+100) that has not yet completed its transformation process into coal and is the largest known source of humic acids, it helps to structure soils, develop microbiology, and nutrient assimilation, I use it from flowering, also on this occasion, I added a bit of amino acids to the mix, obtained by enzymatic hydrolysis of different animal proteins, this is a very elaborate product, I have been aging it for two years, and when I want to give an energy boost I apply it, the enzymes (bromelain and papain) that mainly convert protein and peptides into amino acids from the source continue to work over time, in this formula I used several sources of protein-rich nutrients: Dried blood, Fish meal, Sheep wool, Bone meal, and my dog's food, organic and very high in protein 🤷♀️... it’s a fantastic, very special product!
The effects of these two waterings have been very noticeable, I will continue to enhance the flowering, as I believe this cultivation will extend a lot, and now I consider that I might still need 6 to 8 weeks, so I am halfway through flowering and it’s a good time to give good doses of organic nutrients!!
Until next week, enjoy a lot!...

deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers and also to those fortunate enough not to be! 🙋♂️👨🌾 In 2022, I'm still growing marijuana to smoke as much as I can. All for the cause 👈🧙♂️👍
This is a story of self-sufficient organic cultivation, of a hybrid strain named Congo.
Last week's nutrition has made a noticeable impact with a significant increase in leaf mass; this plant needs leaves to perform good photosynthesis!! The buds are slowly taking shape and fattening up, and when touched, the plant smells like lemon.
This week, I did the second and final feeding of the season, 30 days after the first; the plant is bursting with health, only a few leaves have shown signs of powdery mildew, and I’m keeping it under control as the grow progresses!!
The plant consumes the watering every two days, which allows me to give it tasty and varied nutrition; this week, gentle waterings with Microorganisms to dissolve the components of the fertilizer.
I've increased the canopy panel to 100% at 2700K + 660nm; in the coming weeks, I will gradually increase the light intensity!
Until next week, enjoy a lot, and I wish happiness everywhere in this new year!...

This is a story of a self-sufficient organic grow, of a hybrid strain named Congo.
Tenth week of flowering, unlike last week where I boosted the leaf mass growth, this week the nutrition has been directed towards flower formation... and you can really see it!! 👍
Water consumption continues to rise, metabolism is skyrocketing, three waterings this week, the first two concentrated and based on humic and fulvic acids, phosphorus and potassium, with no nitrogen present. This week I've started using a new leonardite hydrolysate with phosphites and potassium; I always accompany this formula in the watering mix with Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA). The last watering of the week, gentler, with Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA) in basic mode, where I have the highest concentration of microbiology, and it helps me solubilize the residues from previous waterings. I regulate the pH of the mix with Ormus.
Days with clouds and sun, when possible, I rush to the grow tent to take the plant out to capture a few rays of sun, saving electricity, getting exercise moving my pots, and I firmly believe that the fantastic spectrum of sunlight, even if it's just for an hour a day, is pure, inimitable energy!! ☀️👍
I've closed one of my three tents, and in this one, I've added a side panel (3000K + 660nm at 50% 17w) on the wall opposite the other panel I already had. I will increase to maximum light intensity when I close the other grow tent; the later plants will stay here, and I think Congo will be one of them.
The plant is resistant to powdery mildew; I continue with applications every 3 days with horsetail extract. I keep a dehumidifier in the room where I gather all my plants for their nighttime rest, which helps me maintain relative humidity between 50-60%. Good aeration of the grow tent during working hours is also essential.

deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🖐️👨🌾
This is a story of self-sufficient organic cultivation, of a hybrid strain named Congo.
Eleven weeks into flowering, Congo is moving towards the zenith of its glory!!
Cold and sunny days, I take my plant out in the sun for two and a half hours after ten hours of electric light, Congo loves sunlight, it enjoys experiencing another reality, more authentic, warmer, more real! 🌞🖐️😁
The plant is gradually shedding useless leaves, I help by pushing them with my hand; when the yellow leaves come off easily, it's a good sign, it just tells us that the leaf is exhausted, but if leaves showing signs of deficiencies don't come off easily, it means there are problems with that leaf!
I water deeply every two days, this week I've increased the moisture level in the pot by 10%, the plant is huge, with many flowering shoots and a small pot (7l), the plant needs constant water pressure to maintain all its mass, it has inspired me.
This watering frequency makes the feeding very varied, I alternate waterings with specific PK formulas and microorganisms, and others with my dairy preparations of fruits or seaweeds, rich in minerals, vitamins, enzymes, and Effective Microorganisms (EM) to strengthen the crop and help with the complete solubilization of the previous watering, I’m testing my new formula of hydrolyzed humic and fulvic acids extracted from leonardite with 3% Phosphites (P) and 5% Potassium (Humate FK), all very soluble and specific for advanced flowering, but I have respect for phosphorus and potassium, and although I have practiced watering during flowering with my other hydrolyzed where I used phosphoric rock as a phosphorus source, this time, the concentration and solubility are greater and the source comes from natural phosphites obtained from calcined bone meal... let the experiment continue! 🤞😁
See you soon...

I water deeply every two days, this week with a higher concentration of nutrients, and the plant is accepting them very well! The airy buds are becoming denser as the days go by, and the plant emits pleasant citrus aromas!
I believe this plant has the energy to keep growing for at least another two weeks; there are few leaves dropping, and overall it looks healthy with a high metabolism.
See you soon...

deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers and also to those lucky enough not to be! 🙋♂️🌱
This has been a story of self-sufficient organic growing, of a hybrid strain named Congo. A growing journey through African lands, where in search of the original sativas from Congo, I found much more—diverse people willing to guide me, all wonderful, thank you!... now Dad has the box full of good herb to smoke all day!
After thirteen weeks of flowering and two waterings with pure mountain water, I harvested this plant; the yield is decent. Now, I must say it deserved a bigger pot and much more light, although it maintained a very high metabolism, reflected in its water consumption. The plant was affected by some powdery mildew, which reduced the leaf mass and much of its beauty. Still, it has been a great plant with fragrant and sticky flowers that will surely get me high.
The bushy shape of the plant, with considerable height and width, has always complicated my positioning in the grow tent; the light entry has not been uniform, but it developed beautiful colas, and I have enjoyed the walks I took with it in search of the sun, also with the imaginary journey through the lands and people of Congo, while recalling old memories of my African travels, those real ones, full of humanity, mysticism, and idealism... things from another time! 😢
And although the morphology of this plant is very attractive, I call these highly branched plants with thin, pointed leaves "spiders." I have to say it resembles nothing like the Congo I grew myself in the 80s/90s, often with seeds I brought from there and other parts of Africa, but mainly Congo. The formation of buds and the shape of the leaves were different—wilder, less refined, but with monstrous, dense buds and giant leaves. From the beginning of the grow, I had doubts upon learning about the cross of Congo strains with Pakistan Chitral Kush!... anyway, no news, the usurpation of names, also of seeds by the industry, is a common practice.

I found that Congo is better to be grown with organics. You'll have a great weed at the end. Taste and smell is a plus with Congo. Effects are really like how ACE describes :) Good luck and I'll be following.
I dig what you mean. I choose to stay here for the same reason I came: to share and learn about strains. Resisting to sponsorship is golden for integrity and separate independence from greediness. (who wouldn't want a new light?!!)
I am also fed up everyone use a marsydro and grow fasbuds but we know why they have such heavy presence... We are living in an era of likes and thumbs up.. sad for the new generation.
On my path of sharing my growth and learning from others I've met here some awesome growers and, despite some of their projects are not my cup of tea I find myself giving them support (with likes).
When I wanted to grow some Sativa Landraces indoor information available were pretty intimidating. I hope I can help other enthusiasts. And while caring to provide accurate and constructive comments, some clowns starts diaries like *Bukuzavra* here on the ACE section having 500 likes he gave himself with fake account. I find funny: fuck corporations who gave away equipment based on number of likes!! =)
@sativaman, True, it's worth staying on GD for the quality of so many growers outside the ranking. Once I received a new lamp and since then it saddens me to look at my box full of generic lights that I chose with so much excitement, but I don't need to consume more electricity, I have seeds to grow at my own pace for years and it turns out I doubt almost all of them, I'm left with my mouth open seeing the genetics of some, many, with over 50 crosses of marijuana from all over the world... When were these strains stabilized? Can I learn from other grows when the most likely outcome is to get very different phenotypes each time? Well, even though all commercial marihuanas are smokable and collectible, the rapid emergence of new strains doesn't give me confidence. That's why I'm also looking for landrace sativas or at least little hybridized and stabilized strains of pure sativas. And boy, do they intimidate, I'm scared with the grows I've started of sativas this season, I'm going to have the space very saturated, but in the end, I'm happy to embark on this journey. Autoflowering strains, for me, are the Fast food of marijuana grows, pretty, getting fatter and fatter, quick and easy to grow... but with very weak effects!! I can smoke joints of the latest autos I have left all day and reach the same point that a single joint of sativa gives me in the morning. Cheers!
@deFharo, Cannabis breeding sure is a polluted gene pool. Most seed sellers won't even describe potential phenotypes, they will claim their clone only plants always produce the plant of your dream. This is a beginners trap and now raises flags for me. (At least you know now, thanks to GD! that some if not most strains-seed cie sucks, and 'you are most likely to get very different phenotypes each time'!)
I am always on the hunt for good breeders. Two I have in my radar at the moment would be Bodhi and KatsuBluebird.
@sativaman, Yes, what I see is a lot of seed packer.
I did not know those producers that you indicate, I am going to take a look at their strains.
I recommend you, take a look at my diary "Queen Mother" stabilized sativa strain and also at the producer Original Delicatessen.
You can also visit the page that @Organic_LarF taught me, fantastic! https://www.tltseeds.com/
@deFharo,
I see, yeah, its hard to find those where theres no crossing involved.
When i bought my first seeds back in the days, it was like fastbloomer 9 to 10 weeks, most 12 to 14 weeks and those real hazes went to 16 weeks. Now long flower is like 10 to 12 weeks.
🙏🌿🌿🌿🙏
@Organic_LarF, yes, I’ve accepted the long flowering periods, I don’t mind if I end up getting what I want. I would like to try making some crosses later on, but I will only do it starting from the purest strains possible.
What a beautiful and accurate picture you’ve painted.
In my short time here on GD, the learning curve is and can be huge. Only if your doing it for the wrong reasons.
The diaries are personal, thats what I come back to. These are my notes. Helping my situation.
Guru comment is legit, we all may feast on the likes, but trusting new info and believing in the source are two seperate issues.
From my end, time is the silencer, read and move-on is life.
Listening to your words, is still something I look forward to. It may seem quiet at your end, I hope people communicate with you, but leading by example may be closet to the truth.
Like, your Congo is fricking beautiful, that I am sure many quiet people just snoop on DEFharo, to see what kind of shit is really.
I’m loving the Organics, its concept is working its way into my grows.
Cheers 😎
@1Right_Angle, thanks mate, yes, a statement of intentions, written, to not fall into the temptation again... of liking anything! I'm demanding with my grows and my learning... and I'm looking forward to seeing where this Congo takes me!👨🌾💧💡 If you're interested in organic nutrition and creating soluble fertilizers, I can help you. Cheers!
Hey! Happy growing my friend! I hope you do well and get some good results! I will come by sometime to see your progress!
If you ever visit my page please say hello!
Peace & love L.S.T
Coming on lovely, and your photography is really good - I should get a better camera :) I usually grow a monoculture, 3 plants max, but your diaries are making me reconsider my plans for my next grow.
Also today you taught me the proper words for "topping" are "apical cut". I love learning new words, today is a good day!
I am pretty new to GD so I don't really feel qualified to weigh in on this week's discussion but I will offer up my faulty wisdom regardless. I was disheartened when I discovered the nature of GD, when I started to receive scripted replies to my diaries and I realised that a subset of users here are probably bots of some kind, farming likes. There are other users here though; harder to find for sure, but they are users for whom I am thankful - they started showing up on my diary, delivering sage advice right to my doorstep without requests for reciprocal likes or comments. These users then are why I keep my GD account, selfishly I want to mine the deposited strata of their experience - but it's more than that - contained within some folks' diaries you can discover clues about the author's character and I have discovered inspiration beyond horticulture in some diaries and comments.
As for you, my friend, when you are tired you must rest and when the weight of a system bears down too heavily upon you, put it down for a while.
@wrongleverkronk, thanks mate, for sure the best of GD is in the mostly serious growers, only concerned about growing good weed to smoke and willing to share. 🙋♂️👨🌾
Picture 19 is beautiful, silhouetted against the window picking out the orange/gold colours of the flowers and the narrow blade-like leaves.. Just stunning, I would be so proud if this was my plant!
I really like the group photo, it really shows how much can be accomplished in small spaces. While we cram these plants in our tents and wardrobes, I dream of a garden with polytunnels :)
