this is where the fun starts! I turned the lights to 11/13 I dont mess with 12/12 because Kevin Jodrey says its better to use 11/13. I listen to my sages! microbes, microbes, microbes! Jeffrey Lowenfels is another sage that leads the industry in growing. Read their books, watch their videos and learn as much as you can.
I lowered the lights to 12 inches and put them on 100% from 80% at 18 inches-Spider farmer SF-4000 was too much at that level during veg. The veg stage with 80%@18in made the plants squaty short. no elongation in the stems and the stems got to a half inch at the base and hardy from all the calcium its been getting. I switched nutrients at this time to add more phosphorus and potash.
Each pot got a cup of Happy frog Flower and bloom dry amendments. The additive of a tsp of Morbloom @ 0-10-10 with the kelp me kelp you and espoma african violet burned the tips... I would cut back on the kelp and african voilet especially that I have a cover crop and Happy Frog top dressing. Way too much but it seemed to work better in the second week of flower because I didnt add anymore happy frog.
@medicalguy09, it smells 2x stronger and has different terpene profiles than otherwise. I used to grow like that and decided to change it up. Now after seeing what it does, I will never go back. I just can't see quality like this other wise. Sure I grew huge buds and frosty af nuggz but the organic takes the cake for smell and thats what I'm after. I'm still fine tuning my methods for growing and its evolving with Dr. Elaine Ingham. She's been at the peek of the organic movement since the early 80s. A doctor that isn't bound by financial ties to an industry that is regulated and constricted by billion dollar corporations.
