Red Hot Cookies

Local guy had this strain "allegedly" and I tried it back in January 2020 and I blew my mind with flavor of red velvet cake and cookies Figured I'd give it a grow. I didn't plan to document the grow but why not document it 🤷‍♂️🏾

Haven't ran into any issues NPK is 10-3-3 to 10-1-4 depending on what I feed them during the week. She's looking good and at the end of 3 weeks veg she's about a ft tall.

She has been a pleasure to grow and literally figure out, She's not a heavy feeder but also not a light feeder. She is doing well with the top feeding and also my own super soil that I created. She got very bushy in the week so I'll defoliate this week, may flip next week at 5 week or go to 6.

She's starting to develop a very nice auroma, think i want to put her on organics now to really bring out her smell and terps. Shes stretching but its at a slow pace compared to others in my tent so I'm happy.

She started to smell very aromatic and I said fuck it and switched her to my organic regiment. I kept playing with the thought and after 2 weeks of bloom she made the decision for me by getting nice and smelly. The only thing that'll make this run perfect is getting some nice bright red buds at the end *fingers crossed* I don't even know where to start BC I have nothing but high praises for the breeders at Sweet Seeds with this gem. Going to really try and highlight the rest of her profile with organic nutrients and my own super soil that she's reacting positively too.

ATTENTION!!! This is a great learning experience for all growers especially the newer ones, just because you bought feminized seed doesnt mean things will always go according to plan. At the end of week 3 I always give my plants a final defoliation where i remove ALOT of fan leaves to manufacture lighting, in doing so I realized my girl was throwing sausages (pollen sac) at lower bud sites. The plant the entire grow never suffered any stress; not from lighting, heat, nutrients or training and it still happened. Why did it happen, because shit happens beyond your control and its not genetics shit just happens. From the pictures she's still sexy as fuck, I cut off the bud sites with the dicks but I squeezed on a little to hard and some pollen came out. Not much for me to evacuate the other plants but I might end up with a few extra beans at the lower level. She's frosty already and I'm going to keep checking on her for the final 4-5 weeks

She started to show some signs of burning along with my other plants on the organic regiment (Sleepy Joe, Banana Kush). I have a total of 7 plants organic but only 3 showed burn. The burn didn't show up until yesterday or today, either way I gave them 1.5L of water and trimmed the affected fan leaves. I'm growing in a coco mix with a whole lot of Perlite so it shouldn't take long to flush the medium. The lower bud sites where I squeeze the pollen sac a little hard is making seeds, not totally upset since it's only 2 smaller but sites and not the entire plant. Now hopefully I have some usable extra seeds.

Was away on vacation so I didn't get much time to care for any of my plants. She's smells LOUD that's the best way to put it, the genetics on this plant is built for war. No matter happens she still looks and smell amazing. The buds could be denser but for some reason none of my buds got very dense (organic or synthethic) She's approaching week 7 on Saturday and I don't anticipate the buds getting any bigger past this week so we shall see.

Only the end of week 6 and she looks like she's finishing, The trichrome pics are from one top and a lower bud site. I would do a partial harvest but it's not a big yield so I'll just hold off a few days. Going to monitor the other trichrome at the lower levels and see how much amber they have. She's only getting Ph water at this point and if it all looks good during the week she may come down before the weekend. This also goes to show the wonders of the Emerson Effect and using far red to put the plants to sleep. By Sweet Seeds standards the plant finishes in 7-9 weeks so I'm rite on schedule for 7 weeks. I will DEFINITELY be lighting her up for New Years.

Had to do something I don't exactly like to do BUT will do if deemed necessary and that was partially harvest. The tops were pretty far along compared to the lower levels and I couldn't wait any longer for everything to be ready. So as to not let the bud deteriorate any further I partially harvested the tops and will cut the rest when ready. The plant wasn't fed today because the medium was still damp but moving forward it will only be Ph water until its all done in another week. On the upside I'll have these tops cured for about 2 weeks and may get to light it up for the new years eve.

So this isn't a week but more of a real time review that deserves its own week for the shit I'm about to say. I've smoked ALOT of weed of all different varieties and landrace albeit not in a diary to review, with that being said I grade my weed by the "bowl" method. If I can get high off of one bowl after 1-2 weeks after drying its worth growing again, I'm such a stoner I have zero patience for something to cure for 8 weeks to "shine". I loaded up a fresh bowl in a freshly clean bong and ash catcher so I'd get full flavored, I lit up and got through 25% of the bowl and put the bong down and said wtf am I high? If I have to ask myself that its never a good thing and all bets are I'm already fully baked. I got through 50% of the bong and started to feel multiple sensory things happening. My eyes started to feel like they were being messaged and I started seeing my legs move with and obscene body buzz and a guy with hands the size of Shaq massaging the back of my head. I was couch locked for about 5+ minutes and talking in my head but couldn't get my physical self to do anything I was saying. I was finally able to get up some consciousness with a vibration dead middle of my chest and I went from indica slouch to smiling, shit got a lil trippy from there where I felt there was a rollercoaster in my head. The flavor smells like baked goods, nutmegs and something i can't place. For years I would argue that Granddaddy Purp was the best I've ever had and its been replaced I'm proud to say. I'm gonna go sleep this off BTW its 10:20am. The last pic shows how much bud I had left

Chopped the rest of the plant, trichomes look good at multiple levels of the plant so i felt confident taking the plant down. She already smells great from what's curing now, smells like baked goods.

Grew like A dream from start to finish, she experienced a little stress during flowering but it was overcomed. The smoke tastes like baked goods and the high is supremely euphoric and narcotic, I was baked and went for a 4hr nap. This is instantly one my favorites if not the favorite. Its definitely a must grow if you're considering it.
