I planted 20 Edam Bomb Seeds using the water submersion method. After 24 hours I moved the seeds into a paper towel placed into a baggy. 12 out of 20 seeds developed tap roots and were placed into solo cups filled with Mother Earth TerraCraft. Watered with RO water with a ph of 6.0. I will try to save remaining seeds but will continue this project just with the 12 that showed quick progression.

#8 of the phenotype hunt has twin seedlings. Has anyone had experience on growing out in a larger than normal pot? I will be sure to get a cut of each one. Curios about variances in a single seed.

If you want to risk it you could try to separate them and put them in there own pot. But they will usually not live together. They will fight each other for light, root space and CO2. You will not end up with a good harvest. If you dont want to risk seperation then select the strongest one and chop the other.

It was a good week to watch the plants develop. #8 has a twin seedlings. I have decided to separate them in order to let each plant thrive and to see differences in phenotype between the two. Only one plant seems to be struggling but fortunately the twin will keep my plant count at 12. Using RO water ph to 6.3. Using Mother Earth Root Booster. 5ml per Gallon.

I am currently running a small pheno hunt with a strain called Edam Bomb. It’s a cross between Exodus Cheese and Bomb #1 & #3. I have noticed that a few of the plants have a similar discoloration on the exact same location on the leaf structure. Does this happen often?

I had a gelato auto that had similiar looking spots but it grew out of it , aslo never had any real downside to it growing like such.

During this week I dropped the ph level to 6.0 and continued to water with RO water only. Both of the twin seedlings recovered from the separation.( #8 is keeping pace with the other plants and #13 is growing at a slightly slower pace) I will begin the transplant to 1 gallon tomorrow.

This was an exciting week for the grow. Finally transplanted into 1 gallon containers. For the soil mix it is 4 parts Happy Frog, 2 parts Ocean Forest, and 2 parts Mothers Earth Course perlite. After allowing a few days of recovery I have topped the tallest plants. I will continue to water with aerated well water with a PH of 6.2

During this week I finished topping all of the plants and they have spent the last few days recovering. There has been excellent growth on the lower nodes and are stacking close together. I am continuing to water with 6.0 ph water. On the last day of this week I began aerating my compost tea which has 1 tbsp per gallon of Down to Earth Bat Guano (7-3-1). I will do a foliar spray and watering with the tea on the first day of next week.

I did notice a little nitrogen toxicity after feeding with the bat guano. I will use half the amount in future endeavors. Outside of that this week focused on topping the majority of the smaller plants that have been placed in the veg tent. The place I live in currently allows you to have a total of 12 plants (no more that 6 in flower at a time). I will place one plant in flower each week to keep a perpetual grow moving. Cloning will begin in the week prior to flower (during final defoliation). Now I am bending the larger plants that have been topped and super cropped to expose more bud sites and to get a head start on the scrog net.

This week mostly focused on topping the plants. I have noticed three phenos that really stand out while breaking the stems to supercrop. The first is a very strong smell of lemon lime skunk (#4). The second is very fruity / wine smell (#12). And the third was a very skunky cheese smell (#3). I am going to allow them to get taller for about two more weeks then I will switch first two plants into flower then follow that rotation of two plants every two weeks.

This week was focused on defoliation and recovery. Six plants were moved into the flower tent ( they will have about a week and a half of recovery before moving into a 12/12 light cycle). For the soil I filled the bottom 2/3 with strawberry fields (fox farm) with a 25% addition of perlite. For the top 1/3 I used my veg mix. Still using well water with a ph of 6.0 and adding 3ml of cal mag and ph down per gallon.

This is the final week for plant #2 ,#3, #4 ,#5, #11 , #12. The other six will be kept in veg until the first six harvest. I also collected clones of the plants listed above just in case I come across a really good pheno to keep as a mother plant. Today I switched the first 6 into a 12/12 cycle.

First week of flowering for plants #2 #3 #4 #5 #11 #12. The other six have been transplanted into 3 gallon containers to continue growing in veg until I harvest the first six. All 12 plants are female! ( lucky roll with regular seeds). Really curious to see which of these girls will win the first round of the pheno hunt.

This week I alternated watering from plain RO and RO plus calmag. Clones are showing roots and I will transplant into solo cups tomorrow. Trellis net for flowering tent is set up. Just a waiting game now :)

This week I am continuing with alternating between RO and RO with Calmag. I have transplanted all the colones into solo cups to ride out in the humidity dome for a few more days. Temps are around 80 degrees during the day and 65 at night. Humidity is ranging between 45-55 %

This week I continued the same watering routine as last week. The nodes seemed to stack close together so excited to see how the final buds will look. Continuing 50% humidity and 80 degree temperature in the flower room. The twins are both growing great in veg (#8 and #13)

This week I transplanted the clones of the first plants in flower.( 1 gallon container ) I also finished the final defoliation of the six bigger plants in veg before they get moved into a 11/13 light cycle (about 2 weeks). Pheno #2 at the moment is my favorite. All though it’s the smallest plant it has an amazing pheno that smells like blueberry gummy bears. The rest are showing strong cheese tones with hints of berries.

During this week I began the process of slowly flushing plants in flower with RO water with a ph of 6.4. I did have a 3 day power outage with freezing temps but the plants all held up very well.

The buds are really starting to swell up. The trichome production is very nice right now. Mostly cloudy but going to wait until about 10% amber before harvesting. The clones from the first six of these plants are really thriving. The last six plants are almost too big for the veg side so should have a great start in flower. I appreciate Bomb Seed Company for using my photo for the Edam Bomb Advertisement but a shout-out would be greatly appreciated :) 🙏 Thank you!

So far I have only harvested #2 and #11. Currently #5 is drying and the other three need about another week before cutting down. #2 has a very fruity/berry smell. #11 has a very pungent cheese scent. Both are currently curing :) I will post when other plants become ready!
