Another week down and they're starting to fill out..killed some fungus gnat larva this week and will be adding diatomaceous earth to top soil I'm not overwatering I brought some soil from outside that had been laying around for awhile and brought it in to the tent it was my mistake but ill remedy it and put it to the list of don't dos for sure..they are liking the teas and may up nutrients a little this week.overall healthy plants at this point and and filling in nicely idk if they will fill the tent completely but may be pleasantly surprised...hopefully
One suggestion I have looking back on your temps in veg, Your gap between lights on and off is fairly large. 15 degrees is a substantial swing in temperature. When we are in veg or early flower and the plants are still growing vertically temperature swings like that will make the plants stretch a lot. To keep them growing nice and tight we like to keep that gap within 9 degrees for veg & early flower. Once we are past flower weeks 4 to 6 depending on strain the plants finish growing vertically and that is when we want to open up that gap in temperature to beyond 10 degrees. This will send signals to the plants to instead of stretching to cake up and dense up its buds. Keep up the good work man, Happy growing. @grassynoll, Do not be too hard on yourself. You did a lot right for your first time out and most importantly you have the right attitude towards it. Growing is not just planting plants in soil and feeding them, It is a mind-state and a way of living in every sense of the word. That may sound corny but I truly believe it :)
Do you only grow from one seed in a pack? The forums show many of these bulk euro breeders like greenhouse are a laughing stock here. At best you may need to run 10 seeds to get a healthy pheno
@grassynoll, i trust seedsman and dna still would be very picky. You have IG? If u in the states you can get great micro breeder genetics. Im lucky to get clones from inhouse, cap, hbk, altrium... shitty 5 hour drive though lol
@GYOweed,greenhouse was the bees knees when it was neville and shantibaba but idk about them these days besides the haze strains which were the above mentioned strains...I had a whole 5 pack of banana krumble not even germinate not one seed so they sketchy in my eyes lol...the jacks dream was good ass smoke tho and rock hard dense buds...id grow again
@GYOweed,I think most strains are stabilized before released so you can normally get what they're advertising it may be more dominant one way or the other between mother and father genetics but id say for that one keeper pheno you'd have to do a 10 to 20 pack run yeah
