I performed the final (?) defoliation today and removed the ScrOG since it had outlived its usefulness. I did a few tie downs to keep things spread out a bit.
I had been having what appeared to have been a potassium deficiency due to a weird anomaly with the reservoir's pH. I may also have been late starting the KoolBloom supplement.
Also, added a small amount of Yucca as a wetting agent, some H2O2 to ensure a more sanitary drip system, and some HydroGuard to promote good bacteria for the roots in case that is where the nute issue came from.
Had some issues with pH and/or nute lockout again. I've been putting the card ahead of the horse a bit with the CO2 and heat, so I've stepped back now. Back to normal heat and CO2 levels for the rest of the grow. Hopefully the issues will die down again.
Brown straight tips is potassium deficiency. I just grew this strain In coco. Your ph is likely drifting over 6.3 as well because she is really hungry. Feel free to check out my results. Was pretty neat. 👍🌱🌱
@CleverName, yes there is a balance in coco for sure. Nutrition too strong ph goes down. Not strong enough ph goes up. I have grown several plants in it. Once you get dialed In more of what it wants when during grow it helps with fluctuations in levels. You are still looking good 👍
@Roberts, thanks for the feedback! You're right, I had some pH and EC issues. I thought I had enough solution running through the coco on my watering schedule but I hadn't been checking the runoff very frequently due to the way I had the system set up (it was a pain to get just the fresh runoff or assess how much was running through). While addressing that design issue, I found that EC had gone wild and pH was off too. I assume that was due to salts getting trapped in the coco due to insufficient volumes running through. So, I have each schedule running substantially longer now and recirculating back into the reservoir instead of to waste and the numbers are back where they're supposed to be. I'm also checking the numbers going in and coming out daily now. I think she's recovering now (buds are still growing) but some damage has been done. We'll see how it plays out. Learning as I go :-)
I'll check out your grow now too. That should be a helpful reference. Thanks again!
