Did some major defoliating at the start of the week. The plant was getting way too dense and the stems are getting so thick it's hard to keep them bent with anchors in the coco. I know this is very aggressive but I'm hoping this will create a cleaner set of colas as things develop. No doubt it will slow down a bit as it recovers but I'm optimistic this will help get the growth going int he right direction. We shall see...
Already recovered!
Brown straight tips is potassium deficiency. I just grew this strain In coco. Your ph is likely drifting over 6.3 as well because she is really hungry. Feel free to check out my results. Was pretty neat. 👍🌱🌱
@CleverName, yes there is a balance in coco for sure. Nutrition too strong ph goes down. Not strong enough ph goes up. I have grown several plants in it. Once you get dialed In more of what it wants when during grow it helps with fluctuations in levels. You are still looking good 👍
@Roberts, thanks for the feedback! You're right, I had some pH and EC issues. I thought I had enough solution running through the coco on my watering schedule but I hadn't been checking the runoff very frequently due to the way I had the system set up (it was a pain to get just the fresh runoff or assess how much was running through). While addressing that design issue, I found that EC had gone wild and pH was off too. I assume that was due to salts getting trapped in the coco due to insufficient volumes running through. So, I have each schedule running substantially longer now and recirculating back into the reservoir instead of to waste and the numbers are back where they're supposed to be. I'm also checking the numbers going in and coming out daily now. I think she's recovering now (buds are still growing) but some damage has been done. We'll see how it plays out. Learning as I go :-)
I'll check out your grow now too. That should be a helpful reference. Thanks again!
