Day 8 - growing strong!
a. this seedling is looking very healthy, only using mineral water from mountains, 6.0PH, 120ppm. this is very important: choose natural water from a source that is consistent and stick with it always. you will grow monsters.
b. keeping her in the humidity pod (2 glass bowls one on top of another forming pod) for another few days, her root is long, but I would like it a bit longer before I place it into the DWC nutrient pool.
c. running the light 24 hours has provided a consistent environment for our seedling.
d. I will be using every nutrient I possess in this grow. Afghan kush likes many nutrients later on, but at first it is better to keep it very simple to not stunt her.
e. the PH on this vegetative stage will always be over 6.0, in flowering closer to 6.5.
Day 9 - growing well
a. nothing new to report, just nice growth! will put her in DWC tomorrow or the next day.
b. she gets her first 5ml taste of nutrients today, there is a nice root growing from the rockwool
Day 10 - growing well
a. she liked her first small taste of nutrients
b. will move into DWC tomorrow
Day 11 - moving into DWC today
a. she is growing well, will transplant today after she has soaked up plenty of light
b. placed the rockwool cube into the DWC, about 4cm of hydroton below it, water level is at the base of the basket, PH 6.2.
Day 12 - life is good in the DWC
a. the plant looks like she is doing well!
b. added a small humidifier to provide just a little more humidity
c. am watering 40ml of nutrient solution around the rocks, NOT on top of the rockwool, the rockwool has enough moisture already inside it, we dont want rot.
Day 13 - growing well
a. she has grown over night
b. there are no fans on her, or any ventilation running right now, keeping the humidity and the temperature where it should be
c. PH in the DWC is 6.2
Day 14 - Growing well!!
a. nothing really to report just her doing great!
@Fast_Buds, I just grew your Gorilla Cookies and the harvest was awesome, also growing Bruce Banner, looks like it will be another great plant! Looking forward to seeing the Afghan Kush take off!
@DEVS_GENETICS, I am also seeing this Afghan being VERY hungry, I have seen her filter feed the water extensively... 500ppm in 3 days. Im going to bomb this one really hard with flowering nutrients when I change out the pool. This is also my longest vegging auto too, and I am still hitting hard with grow nutrients until I see the actual buds form.
@SwissKush, Thanks for the info. Really I have no idea how much longer. I’ve never had a Auto stay in veg for this long. I was talking to another grower and he said he noticed it with Fast Buds new strains. I guess patients is all we can do!
@DEVS_GENETICS, I am thinking that the "new line of legends" from FastBuds are all like this. I just grew Bruce Banner and saw a very long veg period also. Bruce Banner is a very strong strain, I expect the Afghan to be similar. I guess patience will help us all! Not so "fast" buds anymore.
I like your plant, its very natural looking! Ive been grooming mine with selective defoliation, about 12 large bottom leaves removed, and now 8 main stem fan leaves to flatten out the canopy and form multiple main colas. Its like topping, but less stressful. ive done it the past 3 FastBuds plants, and they seem to love it. Best of luck!
How much longer do you think you have? I think I have 9 more weeks.
Удачи тебе, Братан. Ровного цикла. На счёт холода: нет возможности поставить обогреватель на время сна девчонки? Режим 24/0 все таки не очень, я думаю. Всем нужен отдых., послежу за твоими успехами👍🏻
